We went on a Saturday afternoon which was pretty packed only waited for 5 minutes to be seated at the bar. The bartenders were sensational! They gave us a great experience! We had the brussel sprouts, steak tips and bayou pasta which were all good. Also the cheesecake and cookie dessert was on point! Definitely will be back sit at the bar if you want you won't be disappointed with the service!

I was treated to this place because my father in law loved it on a previous visit. He had been going on and on about this place and he wanted to take me when I was in town . We went late afternoon, past lunch and not quite dinner. There was a decent amount of patrons and clearly not enough staff Because there was not enough staff service was slow The portions for the meal was decent, although my dining companion remarked the tips were larger pieces than last time. This proved to be a bad thing- they were very tough and difficult to cut with the steak knives we were given. I do realize with anywhere you can get tough meat, but maybe the kitchen staff could check quality a little more given the price point We took the majority of the food home and once we were home with better knives and were able to cut them smaller it was better but still not great I had better tips at another restaurant on this trip at a much much lower price point The server was nice even though he was overworked

My husband is obsessed with the Bayou Chicken pasta. Literally talks about it for months after he has it. I've liked the assorted burgers I've had here - they were ok. Fries are memorable - but I think I'll try the quinoa bowl next time. The restaurant has that fancy date night/celebration ambience. The staff is very professional and keeps things moving when it's busy. Both times we've been the waiters have been really personable. The presentation, atmosphere and service are all really good. It feels like it would live up to expectation on a special night, though we've never been there for a special night. The restaurant is really annoying to get to off of route 1, but it has a good sized parking lot. It's a good night out.

Midday lunch on a Friday on a random stop after shopping ended up with me here. Apps were bbq pizza and pretzels. Both were delicious depending on which you prefer. Entrees were a burger and tips. Dessert was cookie skillet and donuts. The food was beyond good especially for the price. They get bonus points for having a reward program as I did not know it was a chain. The caramel dip for the donuts was crazy. This place was top notch minus the service. It did not seem busy yet it took crazy long periods of time for our waitress to come back to the table for simple things like water or mistakes with food. She also wasn't too pleasant until time to pay for the check. Overall this is a must go again !

Decided to stop by Tavern in the Square. I think the food was decent. Our initial waiter decided to randomly switch out from taking our order (we thought he probably was a little overwhelmed with our kiddos trying to order), the new waitress was nice, friendly and patient with our kids. We definitely plan to return

Came here with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. We started with the fried pickles and chips & guac for the table. I liked both and they were a good size for 6 of us to split. I ordered fish tacos for my entree which were average but still enjoyable. Food came out in a timely manner considering we had a larger party. The place was packed as well I didn't see any empty tables. Definitely a good place to meet friends.

Dinner on a lively Tuesday night in Dedham! We sat at the high tops in the bar....it was loud and hard to hear each other - but fun and lively! Our waiter was unfortunately terrible - never came by....barely checked on us....was not fast about anything.....good thing was the food was all delicious!!!! The fried pickles were a huge hit! The Brussels sprouts soooo good! And all our entrees were so good! Only thing we didn't love was the tater tots - they are trending now as a menu item but these felt like from the freezer with no real crunch or flavor! Make a reservation for the restaurant part if you want quieter though!

Bayou Chicken Pasta is very tasty. You should ask for extra sauce.

I love this large circular bar. The staff is always friendly and efficient. RJ the bartender makes the best pitaschio martinis. The Bayou Chicken was good and not too spicy as the jalapeños were more of a garnish. You should ask for extra sauce and it came out very dry. I will definately come again!

I came here on a weeknight for dinner with a group of 9 and this place was bustling with people at 7pm! The service was great and I decided on getting the steakhouse burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was definitely big enough for me to feel satisfied and full along with the side of fries. The restaurant is quite big and everything was handled well from drink service to our food and check. They are a nut free facility, so they take food allergies very seriously. Overall, a nice place to catch up with big groups.

Food was great and service was good. If I had not seen a review saying that even though the parking lot was full they still had room I may have not gone in. They had plenty of room but looked packed. Only complaint is they don't check if we wanted a refill during the meal.

This was my first time at Tavern In The Square. I had heard good things about it and my friend decided to have her birthday here. The restaurant was dimly lit, and felt inviting. It was pretty crowded, it seems like this place is a popular dinner spot! Our party was seated at a table and our waiter came over quickly to take our orders. Drinks: I went with a spiced apple sangria which was amazing! It was fruity and wasn't too strong. Others at my table got the same drink and they all enjoyed it. My friend got a Mai Tai type of drink, which came in a fun glass with a flower on top, so cute! From what I tried, it tasted great too. Entrees: I went with the Ahi tuna bowl for my main. I was so happy with this choice! The rice served with the tuna was seasoned so well and had scallions mixed in which gave it lots of flavor. The tuna was coated in a mix of seeds which added to texture when eating it. The bowl also contained diced cucumber, carrots, and pineapple (?). Two of the party members got the steak tip entree which tasted absolutely bomb. I got to try a bit of the steak and it was cooked to perfection. I will be back just to get this entree. Haha. TL;DR: The ahi tuna bowl and the steak tip entrees were really good, they have lots of fun drinks. Try this place if you're looking for a semi-casual dinner/lunch restaurant.

This was our stop for a bite to eat on our way to a concert at Gillette Stadium! We have previously visited one other location of Tavern In The Square and enjoyed it. For ambiance you can expect sports bar vibes and honestly expect it to be loud. If you are aware of this and set expectations appropriately you'll be good. Still a solid spot to come with a group and or meet up with friends for some drinks or just some food, if crowded just be ready for noise. Plenty of parking spots and lots of seating inside to mention too. Staff was friendly from the hostess to our server who was willing to answer any questions as well checked in to make sure we were all set. Menu wise they have a large variety of offerings so everyone should easily find what something that sounds good! My wife and I as well as my mother all enjoyed our meals and would return. My wife got their steak salad and loved it and was impressed with the portion size she got! They also subbed the ranch that's typically used to a normal one since she can't do heat/spice. I got their General Tso's Chicken which was delicious and came with tempura fried broccoli that added such a good addition to the delicious chicken and rice. I would gladly order it again. My mother tried their fried chicken sandwich which was solid, I tried a little at the end and enjoyed it but the breading could have had a little extra seasoning (even just pepper and salt). Overall though we all left happy with our meals and were full. Also drink wise I need to mention the Bananas Foster Old Fashioned was an awesome cocktail! Overall everything we drank and ate was very good and service was quick and friendly so we would revisit for sure. If you find yourself nearby and are fine with sports bar vibes with a diverse menu offering check it out!

This spot was new to me, having been built since I moved south, the entire complex was an impressive upgrade to the former Dedham movie theater that used to reside in this location. Kings is deceptively large, with probably 2 dozen lanes, several billiard tables and a small arcade. They offer a decent menu of sandwiches, pizzas and finger foods, as well as a full bar, with a waitress coming by the lane every so often to take food and drink orders. We hd a good time, it was a fun spot and plenty to do, especially on a rainy day. Pricing was a bit higher than I expected, but otherwise my only other complaint, I was disappointed to find it was standard bowling rather than candlepin bowling. If you grew up in New England, you know the uniqueness of candlepin bowling and sadly it sounds like most of those facilities have closed or converted to regular bowling, which is disappointing, especially when you see young kids struggling to lob the larger bowling bowls down the lanes
