We finally got reservations here about a month ago. The appetizers were both so good, philly cheesesteak egg rolls were super tasty and the short rib sliders were so flavorful. Ordered pick-up. I got the penne pasta which is basically chicken parm. The chicken could not have been dryer. It was like it was cooked the day before and thrown in the microwave. They even overcooked it in the microwave. The edges of the chicken almost need a chainsaw to cut. It was the worst chicken parm I've ever had and I'm old. The penne was ok. We love Amelia's, consistently our go-to when we want to celebrate but stay local. It's not cheap but appropriately priced for what it is; higher end but w/o the city markup because it's not downtown. With two drinks, an app, two entrees and two dessert (one may have been comped for a birthday I'm not positive) it was about $160 after tip and a good value in my opinion. My wife and I are okay with paying a bit more for a dinner out if it's worth it. We like to try new spots regularly and have been a bit annoyed by seeing more and more nicer places charge city prices - 20 miles outside Boston. It's rare that we're "one and done," we usually give places a second shot if the first time wasn't great. I a guy that eats (and very much enjoys) both Applebees and Grill 23 and everything in between. For me, the consistency of the food, the service and the value of the experience should match the price, whatever the price is. Amelia's delivered again on what I expected it to be - a great environment, excellent service and delicious food. When the waiters seem happy to be there again and again, it's usually a great sign. We've probably been ten times now in the last couple years and have yet to leave disappointed. Amelia's has proven several times now that it is definitely worth it, consistent and is now in our regular rotation for celebrations. The food is delicious and despite it being a pretty large restaurant, it is almost always full when we go. We've sat in a few different areas now and while the food and service are consistently great the vibe is different depending on where you sit- in a good way. As they continue to succeed it would be nice to see the outside area get a bit of a refresh. It's good, but inside feels much fancier. If you're on the fence, try it out. People raved about this place& I've lived at Lamplighter for about 5 years &always wanted to try Amelia's. So this year for my 34th birthday my beautiful sister treated me to Amelia's. I ordered the lobster macaroni; which was very watery the flavor was kinda there I'll give them that, but barely had lobster in it for the price paid. We also got fried calamari that was pretty tasty flavorful& fresh. The calamari was my favorite honestly; My best friend at the time got fried chicken that was TERRIBLE, no flavor. My sister got her self a garden salad that was pretty much fresh. Overall I would just go there for drinks w| my friends, I unfortunately did not get to experience the restaurants ambience due to me getting discharged from the hospital after a major stroke. But when I went in to pick the food up they have a very elegant, warm set up. For sure a lesson learned though. read more

I went here with my family for Boston's restaurant week. I have been hearing rave reviews about this spot so I could not wait to try... My goodness, Amelia's did not disappoint! Our waiter (I wish I got his name), was fantastic and we literally ordered every single one of his recommendations! The salmon with lobster ravioli was creamy and decadent. The coconut shrimp was lightly fried and the creamy Dijon dipping sauce went perfectly. The lemon drop martini was perfect, not too strong or too light, and chilled. And to end the evening, we had the white chocolate bark cheesecake. My taste buds were in heaven! The atmosphere was dark and classy. The perfect date night, or dinner after church.
