Came here on the wknd after shoping and getting dinner while watching the world cup. Service was excellent. Sat in a booth with a friend and we could watch the world cup and eat dinner. We shared the shrimp as a starter. I had the Caeser's salad with anchovies, excellent. We both had the rib eye and I had the brocholini side. All were cooked properly and tasted great. Potential is here!! The restaurant itself is lovely. It's well decorated and has modern vibes. I met friends here for lunch. I ordered a dirty martini and the Frenchie burger, medium rare with truffle fries. It was not medium-rare nor could I tell the fries were truffle fries. But the martini was excellent! However, the burger still managed to be decent and pretty juicy for being over-cooked. If it was cooked correctly and if the truffle fries had truffle flavor, this meal would be a home-run! I went to Liberty and Main for the first time to meet a friend and catch up for lunch and the place was nicely decorated for the holiday which brought a very warm feeling to it overall. Our server Christine was super helpful with offering suggestions and answering our questions on the menu as we were in between some of the food and drink items that were on the menu. Went in April 2026. I think the steak frites was close to $45. It was a small portion of steak and not cooked much different then I could do at home with some greasy truffle fries. Crab cakes were underseasoned as well. The bloody Mary's were good though. I know restaurant costs have exploded but nothing about this lunch was worth 250. Maybe dont treat yourself here and enjoy the bar with an app. Servers were nice but did get the order wrong. Its getting hard to find a worthwhile meal that feels like money fairly spent. I ordered the burger dish and unfortunately my meal was cold (including the fries), I didn't bother asking for it to be warmed because honestly it took a little bit to receive and I was starving. Okay food but a little loud. We had the wings and bacon & PB. Both were over fried and hard to bite into and chew. We also had the pork shank and tuna. Pork shank was not as favor full as you would expect from a braised dish. The Kimchi fried rice that came with the pork shank was delicious. The tuna was nothing to brag about but not amazing. Overall a good meal but it was busy when we went and the noise level was very high but still could get conversation going. It could have used a good chimichuri sauce to give it a kick. It didn't come with any greens like the picture on the web sit that actually looked good. It looked like the way I wanted it cooked but it was too chewy. I think restaurants in general need one cook who really knows what they are doing on steaks and grilled meats. It's too easy to ruin the meat. $44 for a slab on bland chewy meat, no greens and no subs, just a basket of boring French fries. I don't mind small portions for but for the money every bite should be delicious. It was Saturday and they were slammed but that shouldn't affect the quality of the food. Food and service was rushed to accommodate the demand. I could have made 2 amazing steaks at home with greens or gone someplace else, spent half the money and gotten the sane meal or better. I tried a bite of someone's salmon and it was fresh but served on a bed of bland, soggy spinach. I miss the place that was there before this, also expensive but at least the quality was good. We sat at the bar on a Wednesday night, where the service was excellent--the bartender was both sophisticated and attentive. The specialty cocktails were creative and served in generous glasses. We ordered a plate of 10 fresh oysters from Chatham, followed by a superb burrata and prosciutto salad, and finally the Frenchie burgers. I had an incredibly frustrating and truly terrible experience at this restaurant today. While the food was decent, the service was unacceptable. I went in for brunch and ordered eggs, toast, and potatoes--the meal also included sausage, which I don't eat. I asked the waitress if I could substitute something else, and she mentioned fruit or a "kid pancake," even demonstrating a small size with her fingers. That sounded reasonable, so I agreed. When my food arrived, instead of a small pancake, I was given an entire plate with three huge pancakes. I immediately told the server this was too much food, but she just walked away. Then, when the check came, I was shocked to see an additional $12 charge for the pancakes. I had assumed she was offering a simple substitution, not charging me $4 per pancake. For dietary and health reasons, I couldn't even eat them all. I had one. At this point, I expected some form of customer service--at least an apology or a willingness to adjust the charge. Instead, the waitress insisted she had explained everything (she hadn't at all), and when I asked for a manager, she conveniently claimed there wasn't one available. That was a lie too. Eventually, a manager did come over, but rather than listening or de-escalating, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. She "comped" two pancakes but never acknowledged the miscommunication. Instead, she doubled down, saying, "I believe my server." Believe what, exactly? That she didn't mess up - even if she had why not just say sorry. If she had thought she had explained things well - why not just say so sorry for the miscommunication....? It happens. Not a big deal. But the attitude was over the top of all the people who work at this place. A manager's role is to de-escalate issues, not make customers feel gaslit. A good restaurant prioritizes customer experience and accountability. Even if they weren't willing to comp the pancakes entirely, a simple acknowledgment--"I see where the confusion happened"--would have gone a long way. Instead, their lack of professionalism made it clear they don't care whether customers return. Also the prices are ridiculous - 35 bucks, very rude and average food. Given the repeated complaints about this place, I'd recommend skipping it and going to Legal C Kitchen or somewhere else that values both food and service. read more

Perfectly molten mozzarella blanketing the whole cutlet. Feistily fragrant, fresh, and savory was the san marzano tomato sauce. Linguine was cooked how it should be. Al dente. The restaurant was nicely decorated with fall decor. We both ordered the sorrento spritz to start with a side of truffle fries. The drink was way too sweet. We thought it needed more club soda or something to cut the sweetness. The truffle fries lacked truffle and arrived cold. For dinner, we ordered the fish tacos and burger. I had the burger and it came with a side of fries. I wasn't surprised that the fries arrived cold since the truffle fries we had were also cold. The burger was okay...the patty was really thin and didn't have much flavor to it. Also, make sure you get a reservation or else you have no hope of getting a table. AMBIANCE: 3 stars: The place is nicely decorated with a fall theme, but was jam packed and very loud. Even the music was several decibels too high. A couple at the table next to ours appeared to be on a first date and they couldn't hear each other. The tables were too close together and we felt like we had very little privacy. FOOD: 3 stars: We both ordered the Grilled Chicken Club and were disappointed by the size of the sandwich. By definition, a "club" is supposed to be a large sandwich and this was a regular size sandwich for $19, with very little chicken and mostly bread, lettuce and tomato. We also ordered the Smoked Watermelon Carpaccio as an appetizer, which while unique and tasty was definitely not worth $15. SERVICE: 3.5/4 stars: Service was good, but slow, which I assume was because the restaurant was so busy. I don't blame our server for that, but we did wait about an hour to get our entrees and we were trying to wrap up our meal in time to see a movie. Overall, this is a decent restaurant, but expect to wait a long time to get your food and don't plan to be able to hear anyone at your table. For entrees I had the scallops which were probably some of the best I've had, they had a sweetness to them that tied so perfectly into the risotto underneath, would definitely get them again. The rest of the family had butternut squash ravioli, Korean pork, a burger and lasagna... everyone loved their meals and left our plates empty. Wish we had room for dessert. Got take out order from here and it was busy but my order said ready so waited at the host desk. Stood there for a good 10 mins then I'm guessing the owner comes by and asked what I was doing. Told him I was waiting for an order and he told me to wait on the side really rudely. While two guys standing there with me holding beers was fine blocking there as well. Guess cause I'm Asian and the were white it was fine to tell me to move cause he didn't think I spoke English. They had some, so the chef made it for us. We asked for 1, and got 2. That's a LOT of burrata, but I ate it all. VERY garlicky - too much for my friend, but I didn't mind. -Sweet potato fries. I'm not usually a fan, as they're usually too soggy for me, but these were great. Crispy, tasty - just the right amount (although I could have eaten more). Have to echo the sentiments on food vs. service. Food was tasty. Service was rushed at the end. We were accused of being "2.5 hours late." One member of our party was 1 hour early having mixed up the times and was willing to sit at the bar. She was seated instead - not her call or push. It wasn't busy. A majority of the rest were on time. Two were 10 minutes late. But this was not 2.5 hours. We were also refused a bread refill and a mashed potatoes refill on a prix fixe menu. We were willing to pay for each and were eventually given potatoes for a charge. I can definitely understand the tables are limited. Please set a timing limit/turnover expectation when booking. We also would have been more receptive just to being asked if we were finished. The "2.5 hours late" struck a nerve with all because it just wasn't true. read more
