Nothing but good things to say about Liberty & Main, which is especially nice since we had dinner at 8pm on a Tuesday and they easily could have just cashed it on. They had plenty of outdoor seating which would have been nice on a cooler day, but we opted to dine indoors. The interior has a cool, new American lounge vibe - very chic and dimly lit (in a good, not creepy way). We shared the burrata app to start, and it was phenomenal. The tomato jam and balsamic glaze added just the right amount of sweetness. My only feedback would be that the flavor of the toast points (like a lemon pesto almost) was a bit overpowering, but all in all, the app was delicious. I had the sweet chili chicken sandwich, which was also amazing. The sweet chili sauce had just a tinge of spice and coated the chicken nicely. Sometimes, you get chicken sandwiches that say they have a sauce or flavor and it's too light to even notice - this was NOT that, thankfully. We also shared a side of the crème corn brûlée, and holy cow was that good. It tasted like melted caramel corn, if that's even possible. We also a shared a cheesecake, which was good but not great. Our drinks were perfect - I ordered the Mother Brook martini and it was a lovely peach cocktail. Husband ordered the Bourbon in Dedham and he loved it as well. The service was fantastic - great recommendations and everything was very timely. The owner (I think?) even dropped by to check on us. Overall, just a really great experience! We will definitely be back since this shopping area is super close to us. Excited to try some other things on the menu that looked good too! read more

The food, customer service and the ambiance was amazing, I definitely recommend the Liberty & Main!

Have to echo the sentiments on food vs. service. Food was tasty. Service was rushed at the end. We were accused of being "2.5 hours late." One member of our party was 1 hour early having mixed up the times and was willing to sit at the bar. She was seated instead - not her call or push. It wasn't busy. A majority of the rest were on time. Two were 10 minutes late. But this was not 2.5 hours. We were also refused a bread refill and a mashed potatoes refill on a prix fixe menu. We were willing to pay for each and were eventually given potatoes for a charge. I can definitely understand the tables are limited. Please set a timing limit/turnover expectation when booking. We also would have been more receptive just to being asked if we were finished. The "2.5 hours late" struck a nerve with all because it just wasn't true. read more

The restaurant itself is really new as noted by a decor piece that stated 2021 as the opening year. The space itself is well structured with a bar off to right upon entering and some high half moon seating directly in front of that and finished off by table seating to the left. While a nice restaurant, I feel that the food itself was okay and not something I'd go out of my way to eat. We tried some B&B Wings, the Steak Bomb, and the Churro French Toast. The wings itself really lacked flavor and the sauces carried it. Stated as paired with a wasabi ranch and gochujang mirin, it really just tastes like plain ranch and I tasted neither the gochujang or mirin. The steak bomb also needed more cheese and the horseradish aioli was nowhere to be found. I forgot that was an element until writing this review and checking their menu. The French toast was quite good though, light on the sweetness and the chocolate cream helped cut through the sweetness it did have. Overall, I spent almost $80 pre tip. The wings and each main was $15+ along with a boozy espresso drink and house beer that ran $15/$6. If I'm dropping almost $100 pot top on brunch, I'd want to be wowed and wanting to come back. Sadly, this doesn't seem to be the case. read more

Finally had the chance to visit Legacy Place and had lunch at Liberty & Main. I was so glad we did!! Host was most accommodating and friendly. He sat us at a nice window seat on a beautiful sunny day (they have great outdoor seating as well, I just prefer eating indoors). It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating and a large bar area. Our waitress was Olivia, she was helpful and also very friendly. I enjoyed the basket of warm bread for a starter and gave the Cobb Salad a try. It was so fresh and I added some grilled chicken. It was a good choice. My friend enjoyed the cocktails and ordered the chicken and rice bowl which was superb. They had such a nice menu, I can't wait to return to check out a few more dishes. We were pretty full so didn't order desserts that day but they had a nice dessert menu. We will definitely return here again, thank you. read more

Very disappointed. "Hand cut fries" are nothing but frozen processed fries with an exceptionally high price tag. They arrived cold to top it off. Shrimp appetizer was at best below average. I will not go back. Server was fabulous but why put your staff in a situation where they are delivering food that clearly came out the deep freeze.... read more

Made a reservation for two on a Saturday. Was dead when we arrived, but busy when we left. Pleasant front desk. Seated quickly. Nice decor, good ambiance. Limited booths, but chair/table was comfortable enough. Read the reviews, and went in with mediocre expectations, hoping to be impressed. Didn't love the menu. Spent more time talking about leaving and anguishing over ordering or staying. Started with the bread basket, which was good enough. Not sure it's worth the $5 up charge. Got a burger despite the poor reviews, and it was accurately portrayed. Would not recommend it or get it again. My wife had the house salad with steak tips. Ate 10% of it. Steak is in BBQ sauce, and no option to get without sauce. Has sweet potatoes on it, and my wife convinced they were rancid. Waitress didn't ask how anything was until the end. Offered up a manager visit after we paid. How could we assume that visit or any replacement item would be average or better? One and done. Wish we left. read more

I'm not sure how I missed this place as I frequent legacy place quite often but it's a newer spot. I decided to order something from here for takeout one day after work and some of the hostesses were friendly. I ordered the cauliflower tacos. Once I got there it took about 5 or 7 mins for my order to be ready. I tried them immediately and to my surprise the tacos were less than warm and the chips a little stale possibly from the steam. Minus the temperature issue, I would rate the tacos a 7.5/10. Inside the establishment was cute, I may try dining in next time. read more

Another great meal and excellent service. Love the service at the bar. Bartender made the best old fashioned!

The food is awful. American Bistro that used curry in their beer battered fish and chips. However does not mention it in the menu. And when you ask why your fish tastes awful, they treat you like a moron, cause everyone puts curry in their batter. read more

I recently had my engagement party at Liberty & Main and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! The owner, Mike, was great to work with from the very beginning- he was responsive, helpful, and accommodating to ensure that my family would have a special time there. The setup for the event at the front of the restaurant (with semi-private screens) was BEAUTIFUL and we were so happy with it! Mike made customized menus for us which were on our tables, and he and his lovely wife Julia, were so welcoming the moment we arrived. Also, our servers Christina & Brendan are probably the most genuine and kind people I've ever met and did an amazing job caring for our group which really meant a lot to us. And the food was SO delicious- our group ate a variety of choices from the menu from the wings, meatballs, clam chowder, steak tips, salmon, bananas foster french toast, chicken & waffles, and more- everyone was raving about how good the food was, as well as our awesome build-your-own mimosas station! I would 100% recommend anyone to host an event/party at Liberty & Main or just go there to eat! I'm certainly looking forward to returning to Liberty & Main and will always be so grateful for the memories we made there for our engagement party! read more

No surprises. Just what you would expect for a restaurant in a suburban mall. Overpriced, mediocre, unimaginative, cuisine in an upscale wannabe. The service and ambience were ok, and it is fairly easy to park. read more

I had the burger which was excellent, and cooked exactly the way I wanted. My dining companion had the steak tips which were very good as well. Birthday Dinner and I was Very Disappointed. Our waitress had an attitude from the start. She Never filled our waters, even once. She was aloof and always "busy." Food was average. Someone brought out a Birthday Cake with no candle, even though it was listed on the reservation. That person also was like, Oh, do you want a candle? The rudest staff I've met in 10 years. If you're up for a Fun Night! Definitely Avoid this place! read more

I expected $9 fries to be better than fries cooling in a tube which turned a bit greasy. Had the steak tips and found it to need more than just a bunch of sauce splashed 9n the plate over the other ingredients. For the cost, I'm underwhelmed by the food. Drinks were good. read more

Best chicken saltimbocca I've ever had. Melts in your mouth and a nice, generous delicious hunk of chicken.

We live nearby but this was our first visit. We came an an odd hour (around 2:30pm), so most of the inside tables were empty and outside was at about half capacity. We were seated immediately and service was very good. Our server (who was new) was very friendly and attentive. Now for the food... we had no real expectations since we were shopping at Legacy place and chose Liberty & Main primarily because it was new to us. It seemed pretty casual so we gave it a try. They definitely exceeded our expectations. My wife had a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp which she really enjoyed. She shared a bite with me and the dressing was exceptional. I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was spicy and served with a blue cheese sauce. The two stand-out items, however, were the hand cut fries and the "corn brûlée. The fries were the best I've had in a very long time. They had a super crispy shell and soft interior (the way fries are supposed to be, but rarely are). I'm guessing they must fry them twice with a higher finishing temp(?). I'm not exaggerating... they were great. The corn brûlée is exactly what it sounds like... corn meets Crème brûlée. It could honestly be eaten as a desert but is served as a side. We shared this and both thought it was fantastic. There are other items on the menu we would love to try in the future (fried zucchini flowers!) .Overall, I would describe this restaurant as casual Euro-American gourmet. It should really appeal to any foodie since they have both unique dishes and twists on traditional American. We are going back for dinner one night soon. We may become regulars! read more

The one star is for service- otherwise 0. I have eaten here 4 times since they opened, each time worse than the last. I want to like this place so much, but always disappointed. This replaced our go-to for a family dinner out, Aquitaine, and they have kept much of the ambiance, which is good. We also live 5 minutes away so we know there are excellent choices in the area. Always excellent service, from host to server to bartender. Food is generally awful and extremely overpriced. I usually never mention price, as I am willing to pay for a good meal, but this one deserves it. $200 for 3 people, one drank water. 2 or 3 oz of dry and overcooked salmon ($12 add-on and what was that weird flavor it was cooked in?) came on my Caesar salad, which was a bowl of 1/3 wilted, 1/3 brown and 1/3 edible romaine, an enormous amount of croutons and apparently the end of the container of shaved parmesan. A steak frites at the table was $35 (steak frites!) and only 2/3 was edible between the massive amounts of fat and the well-done ends of what was ordered medium. The fried shrimp appetizer was actually good, but not enough to redeem this experience or any of the previous experiences here. I gave it chances, but I'll be dining elsewhere in the future. read more

My family and I came here for Easter dinner, and it was absolutely fabulous. The variety of the menu was fantastic, especially since we had a number of "fussy" eaters in our company. Everyone raved about the chicken parmesan meatballs and the mussels, and the cocktails were made to perfection. We also felt the service was right on point. It was a busy Sunday, and our party was 14 people, and we were never left looking or waiting for our waitress. My wife and I have added this to one of our "go-to" spots for date night. read more

Dinner for two on a Saturday night; reservations at 6:45 pm with advance request for a booth. Upon arrival, it was already loud and busy and yet not fully seated. Several booths available but we were declined. "We save those for parties of four." Okay, so we expected to be sat at a 2-top but we were sat at a 4-top table. So why couldn't we have a booth? Not spending enough? Yet a family with kids would get a booth and probably spend less? Anyway, no sooner we were sat down, a couple was sat at a nearby booth. Ouch. Thanks for making us feel special. The food? It was very good. My friend loved his (very expensive) steak but thought it quite small for the price. I enjoyed my meal but in a very rare situation, I hate every last bite. I usually don't. I'm pretty small and always have leftovers. Always. Not this time. Portions were small. I had two alcoholic drinks, my friend had none. Our bill was $200 for two including tip. We expect to pay that at Davio's, not here. You get awesome puff pastry at the other place, too. Nothing free here! No bread, nothing. In sum, way overpriced for the quantity of food provided. Plus, they did not make us feel special. We won't be back. read more

We visited here on 3/16/24. We overall had a great experience. The martini selection was quite good. We had the truffle fries and the curry fries for appetizers I had the purple rain. Both my kids had the Togarashi Tuna. I had the steak tips and my wife had the panzanella salad. The Baked Alaska dessert and the mousse were both delicious. One of our diners was gluten free, and most of the menu was available to him. The service was excellent and attentive (thank you Matt). It doesn't get the fifth star for two main reasons. First, the steak tips were more like steak cubes. Any of you who are steak tip regulars know that they are usually very soft and chewy. While good, not what I was expecting. Second, I felt the pricing was a little off. a. The steak tips were $34.00, about $5-10 more than I would have expected for this type of restaurant and in hindsight based on the quality. There was also no vegetable, which I knew about, but it didn't look right on the plate without a little green. b. The curry fries at $13.00 were disappointing. The curry sauce was delicious, but it was literally a handful of fries to dip. If there were more than 15 fries, I would be shocked. Note that across the street, quality fries at Tavern in the Square are $7.00. For that amount of fries, $9.00 would have been palatable. Note though that we will go back, but we'll probably stick to lower priced items on the menu and forego the fries, despite their delicousness. read more

We had a nice time at Liberty and Main during our time in Denham MA. Our waitress was very nice and responsive and the space was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming given how pricy the restaurant was. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was particularly disappointing as it was not spicy, had cucumbers instead of pickles, and had very little bacon jam. The other items were okay but nothing really phenomenal. read more

We've eaten there twice for lunch and once for takeout. Upscale American faire. The severs we had were knowledgeable and friendly. The definition of painfully average. Food was under seasoned, drinks were meh, service was whatever. Under the watchful eye of owners Michael Feighery and his wife our Sunday brunch was a gastronomical extravaganza! The restaurant had a very hip and happening vibe, added to by an afternoon DJ. The food was imaginative and outstanding. We started with mimosas, Bloody Marys and chicken wings. Great spice on the Bloodies and the wings were moist & tender. For our mains we couldn't resist the imaginative bacon & peanut butter appetizer and the soma noodle salad to which I added chicken. These 2 dishes were over the top delicious. Another member of our group enjoyed a very juicy and messy to eat burger. Afraid we wouldn't have enough, we ordered a very ample and diversified charcuterie board, which we ended up bringing home. I'm sure all the menu offerings are equally delicious and owner MF has fun ideas to keep the atmosphere interesting. If you're a foodie, you won't visit just once. read more

For the money not worth it! We ate here a year ago for lunch and thought it was good. The quality of the food has since gone down. Fries used to be steak fries and perfect now skinny and over cooked. House salad on menu as Gem lettuce just Romain and a few tomatoS --$15 -- add a protein $12 -- that's an expensive salad-- blackened salmon was burnt not blackened with Cajun seasoning -- just burnt. Burger paper thin like a post it note -- can get better burger at shake shack for a 1/4 of the price. Nobody really ate their food -- it was just expensive. If you charge $29 for an entree people will expect a lot more. Don't believe Yelp reviews. They deliberately keep the bad reviews and eradicate the good ones. They also want the business to buy into their advertising package and if you don't , you pay for it with bad reviews. I ordered the chicken BLT and it was absolutely inedible. The chicken was rubbery, and the garlic aioli was bland. I ordered carrots as a side, and I didn't know it was possible to mess up roasted carrots but Liberty and Main managed to do that too. I only ate a few bites and the waitress, who was basically a ghost didn't inquire as to why I would leave 95% of my meal and not want to box it. Also, the menu on their web site did not match the menu at the restaurant. This was my first and last time I dined at Liberty and Main. read more

I've given this place a handful of chances and each time disappointed. From dishes I was told don't contain mustard and do, to a continuous of overcooked steaks. It's too bad because the ambiance is great. When my husband asked about his steak (ordered medium rare and was clearly medium well). Server came back told him it was medium rare and that the lighting outside on the patio where we were was bad. Further more - the table next to us sent back their chicken wings because they had feathers on them. Their steak was also well done when asked for medium rare. Sadly more - another table of six walked out because someone had gone to the bathroom and witnessed a kitchen staff member not wash their hands after using the restroom. We will not be going back to this restaurant read more

We were excited to try this restaurant as the menu was interesting. They have 4 types of expresso martinis. The $16 drink was in a small glass and had no flavor. It tasted like a lot of ice melted and diluted the drink. The entrees had beautiful plating but the dishes had absolutely no taste. The lemongrass cod looked beautiful topped with pomegranate seeds and a nice bed of cauliflower rice--no taste. I had the chicken rice bowl. I like my food bland--but no taste. And the entrees were not inexpensive. Perhaps the sandwiches maybe ok, but we wont be back to try. The waitress and atmosphere were fine. read more

I'm not someone who usually thinks to eat at a restaurant in a shopping area, but after 2 spectacular dining experiences I am looking forward to coming back for more of that PB bacon app and the sweet chili chicken, those mashed potatoes and hanger steak! Not to mention the cocktails! The dining space is gorgeous, warm and inviting. Relaxed, but with high end details, like the stunning floor tile and the table scapes. Here's what I tried so far: Cocktails: the cocktails are awesome, very well done and balanced ( not too sweet or tart) I had the well rested, and my friend had the mother brook, both good. I preferred the well rested. PB bacon- unexpectedly fantastic mixture of textures and flavors (salty, smoky, decadent bacon, with the sweet and salty PB and jelly, and a touch of zing and fresh from the jalapenos, apples and micro greens) Tuna tartare- I loved the tuna, avocado and nori- could have done without the rice tbh. Hanger steak frites- the steak is a highlight here and the fries are great. Don't even think about ordering it anything other than rare/medium rare as you would miss out on the melt in your mouth meat with the crunchy fries as a contrasting texture. BBQ steak tips and mashed potatoes- the sauce is pretty good, more spicy than sweet and the potatoes are creamy. The hanger steak was better IMHO, but this was still a great dish. Sweet chili chicken sandwich- WOW my favorite thing on the menu so far: the chicken was crispy, the slaw and sauce sweet tangy, sweet and crunchy. Even the bread was buttered and delicious. Came with thick cut fries that were sooo good (crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside) I think this is a good value of a meal for $16 for the quality. Creamed corn creme brulee- OMG the subtle sweet flavor of the corn and creaminess of the custard was incredible! Like dessert, for dinner :) Speaking of dessert: The S'mores mousse dessert was amazing! The chocolate mousse was good, but the star of the show were the accoutrements (graham cracker crumbles, marshmallow fluff and toasted mini meringue cookies!) I would go back for this dessert, and I don't even love desserts usually. My friend ordered the cheesecake pops- also very good, not too sweet you can really taste the cheesecake. My favorite flavor was the almond joy! Well, that's my review- the space is cozy and comfortable the food is really thoughtful and well done- not what you expect at a shopping center! Will return! read more
