We sat outside on a Friday night for dinner, outside space was nice, set back from the street and had a nice border of trees so you dont feel like you are sitting so close to an intersection. Service was really great. We got the tacos and the Lewis burger - everything came out quick (but not too quick!). The tacos were huge, 3 come to an order and I struggled to finish that last one. My husband loved his burger. Its not a fancy place, but its a great place to get some decent food, a drink and relax with family or friends. We will certainly be back. read more

First time here and it was really good! I loved the lively atmosphere, I think they had trivia that night but we left around 8:30pm and nothing had started yet. Service was great and food came out fast as well. We got the Cup and Quahog to start and the chowder had a really good peppery flavor. Then two of us got the steak tips with mac&cheese, asparagus and mashed potatoes. I loved the chives/green onions in the mashed and the asparagus was good. The mac&cheese was super dry, and the steak tips were a bit chewy, I would get them medium rare next time. We also got the normal burger and the Bacon blue burger and both were really great! Such a good char flavor, but the fries were definitely overcooked and plain. My only complaint was that our starters (cup and quahog) came out at the same time as the rest of the food, we would have preferred it first! Went here after work, I was busy talking and took photos after we had taken a few things to eat. Food was great, I recommend the birria quesadillas. My drink was great tasting and had strong alcohol. I ordered a Coco Loco mixed drink. They have 2 sections - two indoors and an enclosed patio. It's a great local place to hang out after work or to go for lunch. We had the best pizza. My half was the best mushroom truffle ever and hubby had sausage with 2 types of hot peppers. It is great t I sit at the pizza bar and watch the pizza chef make magic. This place should be on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, although it is really "none of the above." From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But I was told this a great spot with great food. For me, the charm of the place is the bar on the left as you walk in. Cool Dive bar feeling with great art on the walls. This place delivered. The menu has something for everyone's taste. I had the hot and dieting martini,it was perfect, we shared the house loaded nachos (enough for 4) and ordered the Jimmy 2 times!, pepperoni pizza that was delicious. We took half it home. We will be back for the Abe Froman. But this place is all about the food. There are so many wonderful places to have lunch, but this one is special. If you haven't had the Lewis burger, you are missing one of life's greatest pleasures. If you want a great lunch for $25-30, go to one of the upscale restaurant. If you want an outstanding burger or sandwich, try Lewis'. I can almost guarantee that you'll go back a second time. read more

I've been craving a cheeseburger from Lewis' since I saw my friend order one last week. I called and specifically asked if I could have a cheeseburger with lettuce tomato pickle on the sourdough bread. Unfortunately, that is not what I got. It was just a cheeseburger on some kind of roll with cold french fries. Quite disappointing. I will say the flavor of the burger was very good. Service was fast everyone was polite but it would nice to have the correct order and got salted fries. read more

I was a huge fan of this place for approximately 14 years. I don't know what happened! All of their core staff are gone, for the most part. I think they stopped using fresh OJ, in the OVCs. The food is not the same anymore either. Hopefully they just hit the rough patch, where it's hard to get reliable staff, and they will be back to normal soon. I hate giving an established place, I loved a bad review; but it's over due. Our last 3 experiences there were pretty awful. read more

I'm a coeliac so we had a gluten free pizza to start between us and it's one of the best I've tasted. Customised my burger to have a gluten free bun. Lots of great choices on the menu. Haven't been to Lewis's in a long while. Forgot how much we love it. Went on a Saturday at noon, no table wait. The front bar side is the absolute best, mainly adults. Families tend to go on the other side. Servers are amazing, fun decor, large tv's, burgers are delicious and fresh shoe string fries. The OVC's are refreshing and I enjoyed the hot coffee with Baileys and kahlua.. At our table we saw the waitress coming out with food and everything looked so good! Can't wait to go back. read more

We had a great time. We were seated and served quickly. Got the pleated pant pizza which was your standard fig and pig for $20 which was enough for 2 people and was very good. We each got a beer. I got a 12 oz Maine beer co. "Lunch" for 9.00 and I was thrilled because I have been charged more for an 8oz. Size of the same beer. I guess I know where I should go drinking now... The Lunch beer does not go with the fig pizza though.... . Wish we could have sat outside but they didn't have the waitstaff available for that. They did offer for us to order at the bar and take the food outside which was pretty accommodating, but we decided to eat inside. The onion rings are a classic New England thin and crispy batter-- the kind you expect from a great seafood roadside shop. No salt added to them, but I prefer to control the amount of salt on my onion rings and fries anyway. (By the way, they taste great without salt.). My family refuses to go out to eat with me anymore and if they're forced, they expect a complaint. While on my way to a dealership in Norwood, I stopped for lunch at Lewis' and I am blown away. One, I loved that the lighting wasn't bright! The bar area looked fun and had great music as well! The staff was friendly and attentive... But it was the food!!!!! I am baffled! It was beyond perfect. With very little expectations, I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich. Weary of what was to come, I almost died when a handmade cutlet and on a delicious baguette arrived. My guest had the pulled pork sandwich, which was equally amazing. We ordered the Buffalo chicken dip for an app, that too was great! I expected this pub style, another run of the mill (restaurant 99 quality) place but I WAS WRONG; it was AMAZING! I'm considering driving once a month (at least) the hour and a half commute because I haven't had a good meal (including fine dining) as good as this in YEARS! I read the menu and looked over the list of burgers and somehow without my brain being involved in the process, my mouth said "Famous Lewis Burger" and I was committed. "And yes, with fries." What the heck? A few minutes later, my burger arrived. On a frilled brioche bun was a half pound patty cooked medium rare and topped with the usual cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo but also HAM and EGG SALAD. What? And let me tell you, that sounds absolutely weird but it was delicious. It's like two sandwiches in one here and I cleared my plate. It was fab. You should try it. As much as a beer would have gone perfectly with this burger, I still had to work this afternoon and that would not have helped with the oncoming carb crash. Looking for a burger...you know, something special, not just a regular pub burger. Lewis' came up in the search and gosh gee golly I'm glad it did. Two of us went there on a regular Thursday night and while we made reservations on their site, it wasn't totally needed...there seemed to be plenty of room. Started with the BIG pretzel and yes, yes it was...and the mustard and cheese sauce were both way above average! On to the burgers, bacon blue for me and bbq for my bud. Both were flavorful, put together well and tasty. My bun was a bit over-caramelized (burned) but not to the point of being bad. Fries were great too. Drinks came fast and were tasty. The Pinot Grigio was a little sweet but not upsetting and the beer was awesome. The best part is the bill was under $100, which is amazing for this day and age. Staff was friendly as heck and the vibe is somewhere between townie and sports bar gone wild. Worth the trip, and I'll do it again. read more

Food is good and we have had a blonde bartender who was awesome but besides that unfortunately the waitstaff isn't friendly in the back restaurant. It's unfortunate because there are some great people in the front bar but I've had too many bad experiences with the staff including management that it makes coming in for the food not worth it. I've worked in restaurants for years and the waitstaff can make or break your meal, therefore I'd do pickup and avoid the dirty looks, people talking about each other and nastiness you get from the staff. read more

If you talk to anyone from Norwood, they'll tell you about Lewis'. This establishment is divided into three sections, front bar, grille room & alley. The Alley is where I prefer to sit as it is a newer seating addition to the restaurant with semi open walls, plenty of heaters, fans & tvs. You've got to try the OVC - Vodka, Simple Syrup, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice The food is yummy with lots of options- sesame teriyaki tenders with blue cheese are a great appetizer. My husband usually gets a burger with fries (voted the best burger in MA!) I usually have the Gorgonzola Steak Tips served with two sides - yummy. They just opened a new pizza bar which is fantastic.
