I went to the one of Harvard Ave yearssss ago and was so sad when they closed down. To my surprise wandering yelp I came across this new location and bookmarked it immediately after asking if this is this is the new location. We happened to be nearby for an event and realised this was within walking distance. So we came here for brunch. Inside a little more modern than the previous location but still has an antique flair to it. The restaurant is full of natural lighting. The food is just as I remembered it. I don't have the most exciting order but the nostalgia was running through me. The beef bacon is a must-get. Can't wait to be back again.

This place is a hidden gem!! The food is AMAZING! The omelettes are SO large and the French Toast was simply delicious. The wait staff is some of the friendliest I've ever encountered, and they even brought a little tray of sweets at the end of our meal - how nice! The decor is so homely and exciting to look at. The natural hanging plants really add something to the place. Will be back ASAP to try more items on the menu!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent location and environment. This is a wonderful place for a brunch or lunch. They welcome you with a smile. The owner will bring you that delicious piping hot cheese Fatayer (Syrian pizza). The food is not spicy, it's perfectly balanced and serviced fresh. Would come back for a brunch for sure. All meats are halal.

My lamb kabab sandwich was good. It did not come with any sides. Hubby enjoyed his lentil soup and knafa. I'd try the baklava next time

Parking is limited to the street. Any parking reserved for employees. The restaurant is divided: one part is restaurant with a separate area with drinks and fruit. There are house plants as part of the decor which is a nice touch. I had the regular, mushroom omelette, hash browns and toast. They include some fresh fruit which added color to the plate. The omelette was loaded with mushrooms and cheese.

The food was very delicious! I got the banana pecan French toast. My friend got an omelet and it was also delicious. We had a reservation and got seated early. The water is self serve and the place was clean. They didn't rush us so we had time to talk and enjoy the restaurant.

Shakushuka + Greek style eggs with a side of sausage.

I truly loved this place!! We walked in during peak brunch hours on a Saturday and we were sat right away. The food and drinks came out quickly as well. I got the Greek style eggs with a side of sausage and french toast and my friend got the Shakshuka and both were phenomenal. Overall, I would recommend this place to my friends as a great place to get breakfast/brunch. I think this is also a great place if you would like to try something new!

" Warm cozy and friendly neighborhood cafe " The vibe is warm and cozy . The staff is friendly and helpful. I came in today at 3:40 pm it closes at 4:00 pm . I came in for some pastries and coffee. The pastries by this time were all put away in the case . They didn't look fresh at all or tasty . They were behind a glass case that didn't look too clean . The cookies of chocolate and white chocolate looked good on a glass at the counter . However, the staff said they were just out for display . The cookies ran out . So I didn't get to try any pastries today . The coffee wasn't anything to rave about either . So this place has a cozy vibe however it's just ok . They have a separate area for dinning in and another area to sit and enjoy your coffee. They also have a small little market which is helpful if you want to take home something. I brought home some avocados . Just want to mention parking is limited to street parking . I am very fortunate to have tried this place today. I always drive by and hear good things about this cafe . The prices are not too bad either btw ( by the way).

Phenomenal experience- wide arrange of food option, beautiful decor, casual but still pretty vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, friendly and kind staff, and INCREDIBLE FOOD! This is a secret gem. I'm so so glad I found it.

    Lamb swarma wrap

Amazing value. When walking in, the fresh, well-lit space among its vibrant decor brought me into the feeling as if I was transported to a different country. I loved the displayed of teapots, antinques, collectibles, plants hanging from the ceiling and so much more. The food is rather large and for a very reasonable price. I'm surprised the can operate off the price they put the items at and their size. Food's decent. My only critique is I would go for smaller portions with a higher quality. The meat I got in the lamb wrap was tasty but it had to many much lettuce and tomato; which because of the size started to spill out and unfortunately got messy quick. Willing to try this llace instead and go for the breakfast items next time. Regardless, atmosphere is amazing and surprised not more people were occupyibg it.

This gem of a cafe is located in the heart of Brighton, with a stunning internal decor that draws inspiration from its Syrian roots. The menu offers a mix of traditional American and Syrian options--both of which are delicious! We've been here a few times, trying different items, and each time the food comes out great. The service is also quick and helpful. As a bonus, I'm a huge fan of fried chicken & waffle, and In House is the only cafe in Boston that offers these halal! Definitely a must try.

    Smoked Salmon Omlette

Aleppo Eggs Plate 4.5/5 Smoked Salmon Omlette 5/5 Great place for brunch! They have a huge menu of items to select from that includes breakfast and lunch/dinner items. They also have some baked goods up at the counter that you can order as well. It's seems to be a family-run business and all of the staff are quite friendly and polite. We've gotten free dessert on the house the times that I've gone in bigger groups! The restaurant itself is under a senior living community and has a nice open area for seating that has a lot of windows to let sunlight in. It also has a small market area off to the side that offers convenience store types of foods. No parking lot and not much parking outside of the restaurant itself, but if you're willing to walk ~10 min or so there is street parking on some of the side streets.

We ordered the cheese topokki (soft rice cake, fish cake, vegetable, & mozzarella in Korean spicy sauce) & the beef bulgogi bowl (fried marinated beef, vegetables, steamed rice & side of soup). The cheese topokki was just as good as we remembered - chewy, flavorful, comforting, & a little bit weird. The cheese was poorly distributed, but it was still very tasty. The beef bulgogi bowl was really underwhelming. Firstly, it was very little food. We were promised vegetables, but there were only a few scarce onions & zucchini pieces mixed in. It was also dry. It was devoid of moisture & sauce, so we added some from the fridge at home. The side of soup was a joke. It filled only about 2/3 of the container & looked so sad, we wondered if it was the sauce that we we so desperately needed. Nope, just a meager amount of watered down miso soup. So the conclusion - great topokki, sub-par bulgogi, non-existent soup.

(but I'm sure the record shops were closed, if there are even any still open these days) however that may be why the food was terrible so YMMV. I should have known better seeing that they did not sell shawarma that it was going to be a disappointing experience. I ordered the mix plate - around $22 total. The gyro meat was so dry that when reheated, took on a crunchy texture. The chicken did not please. it was lacking in flavor. The rice seemed to be basic white rice, which surprised me because most mediterranean/arabic restaurants have really great tasty rice. the bread that came with the meal was pretty good, but with the other elements of the meal being subpar, it was not enjoyable at all. The selection of drinks there is basic soda that's either high in sugar or high in caffeine, I suppose thats typical since many college students live in this area. I don't think I'll return. I finished maybe half of it, and reluctantly threw the rest away (I hate wasting food but this was not even food I would give to the homeless).

The Zaatar & Cheese Flatbread was made fresh. The zaatar was nicely spiced and slightly sweet which I'm not used to, the cheese they use is mozzarella which isn't traditional, and the dough is super thin crust which is also not traditional. Zaatar is typically earthy, nutty, and lemony from the oregano and sumac and the cheese should've been Akawi cheese. The dough should also be slightly thicker and fluffier. It would've been nice if they did the Zaatar on one side and the Cheese on the other side. We saw the table next to us get their's that way and I wish it was offered to us like that as that's my preferred option. Nonetheless, decent try and always happy to support an Arab business!

Roksana's Persian Food Saved Our Graduation Celebration…read more I cannot thank Roksana's Persian Food enough. After another restaurant (Caspian Persian Cuisine) unexpectedly cancelled our graduation event catering at the last minute, we were left scrambling just hours before a gathering of 40 people. It was a stressful situation, and we honestly weren't sure how we were going to pull it off. Then we found Roksana's. Despite the extremely short notice, they immediately understood the urgency, stepped up, and delivered. The entire order was prepared on time, complete, and exactly what we needed. They even threw in a few extras, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture during an already chaotic day. And the food? Absolutely incredible! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our guests loved it, and several people asked where the food came from. What could have been a disaster turned into a memorable celebration thanks to their professionalism, generosity, and outstanding food. It's easy to provide good service when everything goes according to plan. It's much harder to rise to the occasion when someone needs help at the last minute. Roksana's did exactly that. We are immensely appreciative and grateful. They didn't just cater our event. They saved it. Highly recommended, and we will absolutely be back.

The koobideh was more eggy than it was beefy. It almost felt like that there was barely any beef in the koobideh. The second time we also had beef soltany, to give another item a try. This item was alright. You could taste the pomegranate molasses in the soltany. While the flavor was pleasant, I was expecting more char from the kebab (especially from the sugars in the pomegranate molasses) and for the meat to be more tender, after the staff hyped up this particular item. I also don't think that the price of $29 for this item was justified.
