Where do I even begin? In house Cafe is a stunning bustling restaurant, with beautiful decoration throughout the entire establishment. Arriving around 11-12 on a Saturday, my friends and I reserved a table at In House Cafe and received quick and efficient service from kind and informative servers. It's nice to note that the uniforms are also adorable and punchy. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal and my friends and I, despite ordering a VAST array of delicious items from pizza to pancakes, all agreed that the food was delicious and well worth the trip! The apple Cinnamon Pancakes were nearly to die for, warm and delicious, the batter seemed homemade, and honestly gets a solid 10/10. The same goes for my drink of choice, the iced caramel latte with oat milk. The bacon and eggs were as you'd expect and well executed. The Shakshuka was good and smelled amazing, but my only note would be that an addition of salt or a slight edge to the dish would bring it over the top- My friend who initially ordered the dish says that an addition of Feta cheese will do the trick, as she ordered a side of it to go on top. For my personal taste it was a 7.5/10. The pizza was a great serving size for 1-2 people in one sitting, or could easily be stretched out into multiple meals if needed. The fresh tasting vegetables brought the dish together, and the meal was happily enjoyed. and a pro tip; if you have leftovers i'd recommend reheating in an air-fryer for perfect crispy crust 9/10 The chocolate strawberry latte exceeded my expectations, as I am not a usual fan of chocolate strawberries, but this drink was a very pleasant surprise. It wasn't overly sweet or artificially flavored, and I couldn't help but ask my friend for a few sips throughout the meal. The bathrooms were VERY clean and VERY well maintained, and the restaurant is just a very quick walk away from the bus stop. Accessible by car but parking may be hard to find, so be aware if you choose to go by car. I would go back to boston soley for those pancakes! ONE thing I will note is that for three people our order came out to a bit over $100. You can feel free to interpret that as you so choose. I will say I was somewhat surprised, but NOT regretful! An excellent neighborhood lunch or brunch spot! The atmosphere is very cute, with interesting antiques everywhere and beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling. The service is always spot on, even when they get busy during the weekend brunch rush. (You should count on needing a reservation at those times.) Of course, none of that would matter if the food wasn't also excellent! We always order banana caramel pecan french toast for the group to share. The french toast on its own is custardy and delicious (unlike some places that just feel like dry bread), but the roasted bananas along with the buttery caramel and pecans take it to the next level. The fries are also the platonic ideal of a french fry that always surprise us: crispy, not greasy, and well seasoned, while still having a fluffy center. I often get the shakshuka or the aleppo-style eggs for my main, which are both delicious, veggie-forward, and filling. But the hidden gem is the oatmeal, which is packed with fruit, perfectly cooked, and creamy as can be. Since the food is halal, there are no pork products, and as a lover of regular bacon, I can say with confidence the beef bacon will surprise you with how similar it is! A friend and I came here for brunch and it was so cute! It's got a nice community feel inside. Most of the tables are set up as long, communal tables so you could be sitting near another party that's sitting just a few seats down. You don't see that everyday but I liked it a lot! The service is quick and super friendly. My friend and I had finished our meals, and the staff were letting us try different baklava flavors they had, simply out of the kindness of their heart. They would just walk up to us while we were chatting and they'd give us more samples. It was really a great time! My Nutella Crêpe was cold but it would've been amazing if the melted Nutella was still warm inside, but all in all it was still good. My friend got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and funny enough hers was too hot at first haha so she let it sit for a sec and really liked it. Went for brunch at In-House Cafe in Brighton today. Had a delicious meal.The restaurant has a large open floor plan with high ceilings, windows and natural light. Cool vibe with eclectic style. I showed up at 12 and the restaurant was packed. Would suggest a reservation. Menu had many options. I specifically looked at breakfast options and saw a range of savory and sweet options. Many options with fresh produce. Have some pics of menu with omelets and other breakfast options. Menu has several other pages. My La Classique Crepe had a generous amount of Nutella and fresh fruit, strawberries and banana. Crepe had a good texture, not burnt and not too doughy. Cappuccino was delicious. I went to the one of Harvard Ave yearssss ago and was so sad when they closed down. To my surprise wandering yelp I came across this new location and bookmarked it immediately after asking if this is this is the new location. We happened to be nearby for an event and realised this was within walking distance. So we came here for brunch. Inside a little more modern than the previous location but still has an antique flair to it. The restaurant is full of natural lighting. The food is just as I remembered it. This place is a hidden gem!! The food is AMAZING! The omelettes are SO large and the French Toast was simply delicious. The wait staff is some of the friendliest I've ever encountered, and they even brought a little tray of sweets at the end of our meal - how nice! The decor is so homely and exciting to look at. " Warm cozy and friendly neighborhood cafe " The vibe is warm and cozy . The staff is friendly and helpful. I came in today at 3:40 pm it closes at 4:00 pm . I came in for some pastries and coffee. The pastries by this time were all put away in the case . They didn't look fresh at all or tasty . They were behind a glass case that didn't look too clean . The cookies of chocolate and white chocolate looked good on a glass at the counter . However, the staff said they were just out for display . The cookies ran out . So I didn't get to try any pastries today . The coffee wasn't anything to rave about either . So this place has a cozy vibe however it's just ok . They have a separate area for dinning in and another area to sit and enjoy your coffee. They also have a small little market which is helpful if you want to take home something. Amazing value. When walking in, the fresh, well-lit space among its vibrant decor brought me into the feeling as if I was transported to a different country. This is the best, most delicious Middle Eastern-American fusion brunch place I've ever had in the Boston area. EVER! Nothing else comes close, it has the best variety of options and best flavors. It's Syrian owned and they just get all the Levantine cuisine spot on. There's a wide selection of classic American brunch foods as well as all the traditional Middle Eastern foods. I got the lamb kabob plate, so flavorful, tender, and just scrumptious. My brother got the Mexican omelette- the steak was juicy and the peppers and onions were seasoned to perfection, cooked just enough so they still have a bite without being soggy. A majority of us got their breakfast food, but one of us got one of the chicken plates which was huge in portion size and a great deal - would highly recommend it! The service was quick, kind, and the food came out within a reasonable time which was awesome. The space has plenty of seating and is very brightly lit which made it a great brunch spot. The breakfast we got overall was decent, however the shakshuka was really lacking - it tasted more like a watery chili and was quite disappointing. I wouldn't recommend getting that at all. Overall, I'd be happy to return to eat their lunch dishes in the future and maybe a fee of their breakfast ones. Their tea was also pretty tasty and I would gladly get it again as well! We came here because of the great yelp reviews, expecting to have a nice lunch. Everything was off from the very beginning. The waiters were dressed in dirty pajama-like uniforms with holes, and were not professional at all. We sat outside and ordered our meals. My cappuccino came in a paper cup. While waiting for our food, I decided to use the bathroom. I was so disgusted. The toilet itself was incredibly dirty, there were no paper towels, and nothing to dry your hands with. The food came pretty fast, that was the only good thing. I never use the term "disgusting" to refer to food, but it was more than that. My crepe had half-boiled greasy onions and a few pieces of chicken which I had to put aside because I was afraid of potential food poisoning. The crepe itself was so dry, that I had to smother it in ketchup to get it down and mask the taste. It's now almost midnight, and I can't get this taste out of my mouth - I even brushed my teeth three times. My fiancé tells me not to think about it, but this negative experience is hard to get off my mind. My day off was ruined. Please spare yourself the experience of sitting in a filthy place eating the most disgusting food. read more
