I walked by Popovers after my dental appointment at Fixt and was drawn in by the memory of the popovers from one of my first reviews from Davios... yum.. anyways.... This cafe offers sandwiches, salads, an array of delicious drinks and desserts, etc.. Since I had company in town for Thanksgiving, I decided to purchase 3 treats. I chose for the carrot cake, chocolate cake & the caramel cake. All were fantastic! Yet what stood out 'for me was the CHOCOLATE! It was the Best Cake I have had ever! I'm always in Popovers vicinity, so there will be a next time, and I see sandwiches & salads in my future! I'm looking forward to updating this review!

Really cute and quaint popover bakery with a variety of popovers and breakfast/brunch delights. It was amazing service and it is a quick service place. You order and they bring the food to you, it also came very fast. We had the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich which was massive just like the original popover with the delicious butter and strawberry jam. Great price for the portion. I also did order the chicken noodle soup but it was slightly on the salty side. Great decor and bright with windows and parking in the back or front.

There is street parking in front. Plenty of room inside. There is room to expand if they ever wanted to. They specialize in popovers....,, Yum. I had the oatmeal and breakfast bowl with turkey sausage, cheddar cheese and egg. They brought my breakfast out to me. I thought the serving sized was reasonable given the price. I suppose the rent is high giver it is Wellesley. It could have been larger. I would return.

If you've never had a popover, get in your car right now and go try 2. You'll be pleasently surprised to find a quiet bakery with the best breakfast and coffee in town. Experience this place before it gets featured in the news and blows up.

The flowers at the tables are Lego flowers.

I live nearby and decided to pay Popovers a vist for the first time. I am happy to report it was an enjoyable stop. I ordered a plain popover with butter which is placed on the side. The popover is huge! Price is $4.95 which is very competitive for this area due to high rents businesses incur here. Well worth the price. I enjoyed the coffee aswell. Kudos to the very pleasant staff. I will be returning son. Plenty of metered street parking is available. Parking meters are in effect Monday through Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm. Sundays and holidays are free.

Don't be deterred by the line because it moves quickly and it is absolutely worth the wait. Eli's is a real hidden gem and great neighborhood spot for locals and those traveling from out of town. The food is DELICIOUS and the portions are huge. Food is fresh and made to order yet still comes out quickly! Staff are very attentive. Our recent orders have included the Truffle Shuffle Omelet, No Name Omelet, Porky Pig Omelet, Hot Mama Omelet and the Island Breakfast. All were incredible. The house made pico is super fresh. We usually ask for the sour cream on the side as opposed to on top of the omelet. My parents said the coffee was really good. Great array of hot sauces to choose from as well. Next time I need to remember to order my hash browns extra crispy (they are good as is but extra crispy is just a personal preference!). There is a great mix of people in the restaurant every time we go. People from all over and from all walks of life (families, elderly patrons, young couples, etc.).

The shopping center itself was nice and felt modern and clean. The parking lot had sufficient parking availability on a Tuesday night. I hadn't made reservations in advance but despite it being pretty busy, they were able to get us a table for 2 inside (there is some outdoor patio seating available). The service was friendly and helpful though not very proactive (but it was busy so understandable). The one major turnoff was the staff aggressively spraying cleaning solution onto nearby tables. That stuff can waft over to someone and set off an allergic reaction, it can get into food/drinks, and the chemical smell that lingered was not great for a higher-end restaurant. On the other hand, it was a clean restaurant! We got shrimp cocktail (they charge by the piece). It didn't come with the standard cocktail sauce - not sure what it was - maybe vinegar-based(?), but it was just OK - my friend didn't like the sauce at all but we thought the shrimp was good. We each ordered haddock with green beans and mashed potatoes. The haddock was nicely prepared with breadcrumbs on top and cooked such that it was still flaky, moist, and had a nice light flavor. Mashed potatoes were good (as other reviewers have noted), and the green beans were ok - maybe a bit undercooked. The team accommodated my friend's nut allergy by leaving off the almonds, which we appreciate! I didn't love the tomato confit but it wasn't bad. I'm glad that I could visit this beautiful restaurant! I hope that they can find a better way to keep the tables clean.

A lot of iterations of Cottage have come and gone since we were first introduced to it almost twenty years ago. They still serve passionfruit iced tea that hits with a nice tart and a hint of sweetness from the orange. Their sandwiches are tasty, I had a blackened cod. The slaw was a touch too runny, it absorbed the heat of the sandwich and overwhelmed the poor onion ring. The cod survived the onslaught, though, and was well cooked and seasoned. Avoid the charcuterie. It was a mess that looked like it was sourced from the deli counter at the local grocery store. Service was friendly and prompt. Still a decent reliable spot in Wellesley!
