I have endured, over the course of a long and largely joyless life of coffee consumption, more iced coffee than any person should reasonably be subjected to watered-down, over-sweetened, catastrophically over-iced monuments to mediocrity. What Quebrada produces is something else entirely. The balance is immaculate smooth, bold, and refreshing in equal measure, with a depth of flavor that lingers in the best possible way. It is the finest iced coffee I have encountered. I do not expect to encounter better. Whatever craft goes into that cup, it is something to be protected. The baked goods are equally deserving of distinction. The banana bread and pumpkin bread, in particular, are a masterclass in what these classics are supposed to be. Moisture, in baked goods, is not an accident it is a consequence of discipline and intention. Each slice arrives perfectly moist not dense, not dry, but exactly right with a richness and warmth that suggests genuine care in every step of preparation. These are not afterthoughts set out under a glass dome to accompany a drink order. These are the reason to come. The space itself is worthy of note. Pick from a pastry case, order at the counter, and take an empty cup to pour your own coffee. Spacious seating by windows and at tables around the corner from the action. Chocolate Croissant: Great for people who are all about the chocolatey. Big chunks falling out. For people who are all about a proper croissant, the place down the street is far superior, unfortunately, and with better parking. The croissant here was soft, not flaky. Bendy, not brittle. Blueberry Muffin: Had this on a previous visit a year ago (not pictured). Much like the croissant, it was okay. Overall experience, just okay. Nothing wrong with it, but some bakeries have me thinking about what looked great in the case that I didn't have, and might have next time. Not the case here. read more

Quebrada was delicious! We visited this location several times and everything we had was great. The kids loved their blueberry muffins and corn muffins and chocolate croissants. My wife and I loved the ham and cheese croissants and the breakfast sandwiches as well as the espresso and regular coffee. My kids loved the hot chocolate Too. The service was great. The staff are super nice, although it gets crazy busy in there and the Coffee station can get tight. I can't wait to visit family again so we can go back to Quebrada! read more

My husband and I live in Framingham, but every few weeks for a fun outing, we take a ride to Quebrada to stock up on goodies. I love their chocolate croissants, raspberry shortbread cookies, and chocolate-dipped macaroons. My husband loves their ginger cookies, carrot cake cupcakes, and pecan rolls. In the summer, they also have delicious Raspberry Lime Rickeys. Earlier this week, we took our drive to Quebrada and bought our yummies. I was getting a straw for my Rickey, and my husband headed out the door, thinking I was right behind him. When he realized I wasn't there, he returned to the store to find me. He walks with crutches, and on his way back into the store, something happened and he fell. At that very second, everyone in the store went running to help him. I helped to get him up, and the entire store staff went into helper mode. One person brought him paper towels (he had hit his nose and was bleeding), someone else brought band-aids, someone brought a bag full of ice, and someone else brought him some water. They asked him to have a seat, and kept checking to see how he was and if they could do anything else to help. The manager even gave me her personal phone number. I assured her that this wasn't the store's fault. She understood, but still wanted me to have her number. Everyone there remained calm and knew exactly what to do. It was an extraordinary experience. I did use the manager's number to text her my heartfelt thanks, and also emailed the company's owners to tell them about the experience, and to praise the staff at the Wellesley store (as well as the customers, who were also extremely compassionate). Even if their pastries weren't so delicious, I would return the Quebrada in Wellesley forever because of how they handled this mishap. But their pastries ARE delicious, so you should go there and try some! read more

This review is mainly for their holiday menu but I popped into this bakery for the first time today and was amazed by the delicious holiday treats. I'm a huge fan of gingerbread men and this place made fantastic gingerbread cookies and loafs. The cupcakes looked delicious as well. The inside was packed with people and I can tell this is a place with a lively vibe everyday. Great place to grab coffee and lunch or sweets. Lots of friendly staff helping you. I am always on the hunt for a good scone and this morning I was craving one so decided to stop by Quebrada. I was really impressed by how big this place was and the ample seating they had! I'm not sure why I return here because I leave really annoyed every time. Many of the people behind the counter are unpleasant, and sometimes even rude. One young man who waited on me once had a horrible attitude and was just awful. Every time I go there, whoever waits on me purposely chooses the smallest sized croissant or scone, even if they have to reach much further in the case and bypass the larger ones and grab the smallest one for me. What is THAT all about?? The next person after me won't KNOW if they got a smaller pastry, but as I am WATCHING, you are grabbing the piece that is literally 80% smaller than the one closest to you... It seems like a small, nit-picky thing, but I find that really annoying. It's a good thing the baked goods are pretty good, cuz that is the only thing this place has got going. The petite scone bought this week literally had only three specks of scallions and no parmesan flavor. Definitively misnamed. Quebrada has amazinggg pastries and coffee. My favorite is the chocolate croissant. There are two sizes; the larger one (about $5) is super filling and has a generous amount of chocolate. Parking is convenient and located right outside of the cafe. Usually there's always a line, but it moves quickly. Quebrada is great for families, friends or get togethers. Ordered the fresh strawberry cake for a friend's birthday. So. Absolutely. Delicious. Fresh cream and strawberries. The cream is so fresh there's a chance that the cake may slide - be careful! And one cake is sufficient for 7-8 people, you may even have leftovers for the next day (yay!). You can place an order on the phone a day in advance and they'll have it ready for you. There baked goods are to die for! Some of the best in the city. If your ever tired of the Italian baked goods they make some amazing French pastries. This bakery is absolutely delicious, there is almost always a line, you can pre-order baked goods or walk in. Cookies, cakes, pies, coffees, croissants, and sandwiches, they are all pretty incredibly. Their coffee is only "okay" in my opinion, but this is a full fledged bake shop and if you come here, you are coming for the baked goods. I am obsessed with their ham and cheese croissant, which is served warm from their front window. Stopped by on a Saturday morning. There was a line outside but it moved quickly. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, a mushroom and cheese croissant, and an almond croissant. All three were absolutely delicious. There were a variety of other pastries on display, as well as hot drinks. The prices here are higher than I would expect of a bakery (ie $6+ for breakfast sandwich), but it correlates with quality. I'll definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the neighborhood. I've never had a bad experience here - I think it might depend on the days you come but this is a popular spot so if you don't show up early they're bound to sell out on weekends. I always use their order ahead via the website, and I've never had problems. Their pastries are delicious, and the portions are great. They price competitively for the area, and you get the real sense that they're a local business, not a chain. The mushroom+cheese croissant is divine, and their strawberry cake is something I treat myself to on special occasions. Haven't tried their cupcakes or cookies yet, but they're on my list! I don't love the coffee here, but it's affordable and nice when you just want something to enjoy your breakfast with. They have a lot of seasonal items too - best thing to do is to call ahead and ask or order online if you have your heart set on something. The Wellesley location is really spacious, so I never felt cramped or nervous about being in a shop with too many people during Covid times. It was a short visit to pick up a small (6 inch?) strawberry cake ($25) that I had ordered yesterday afternoon. The service was quick and pleasant. The place, though small, seemed clean, and I noticed a funny sign, which claimed, "Unattended Children will be given an espresso and a free puppy." We were warned not to place the cake on an angled seat on the way home, but rather on the car floor, to keep it from sliding. And to keep it refrigerated. It was whipped cream frosting after all, so that made sense. It was a nice and light cake. Fresh and tasty. A good choice. read more
