nobody wanted to eat the heavy butter cream
    John Y.

We tried this new bakery that is around the corder. Kudos for having birthday cakes left on a late sunday afternoon! My wife went and there were 3 cakes left, so she got this two tone for about $33-ish. The box was nice and the cake looks nice. Price is in-line with other bakeries. The cake sadly did not deliver on taste and experience. It has a LOT of butter cream helping form the cake. Turns out we don't like butter cream...at least not this much. The actual cake portions were just okay, not bad, not great. There is a thin later of jam or something between the slices that our kids did not like, but if you want a little tart, then you'll enjoy it. I would've preferred fruit or something inside. Overall, we didn't enjoy this cake. Not sure if we'll go back (earlier in the day) to see if they have other offerings...we'll see.

The pastries and food were excellent; however, the coffees we order were practically all milk.

Picked up sugar cookies and croissants for the family and they were very good! A tad pricey but it may be the area I was visiting!!

Amazing place within walking distance. OMG. Opens at 6 am. Easy in and out. Tip generously. And they have coffee.

Incredibly flavorful coffee! Mocha coffee tasted like warm chocolate milk... but that might be what a mocha is.. ‍

Lovely bakery and a great addition to Watertown. Coffee is weak, and oddly not as good as their Belmont location. Otherwise a great spot!

The spot is known for their Persian spin on great classics, and many of the typical French offerings. I got to try their pistachio croissant and a black sesame latte. Both were very good. The croissant was excellent; dough was perfect, not overly sweet. Tons of pistachio on the inside. It's topped with a hefty amount of what tastes a bit like cream cheese (but it's probably something else, that's just what it reminds me of). Highly recommend trying it. The black sesame latte came recommended by the staff member. Also very good, nice unique flavor and made with in house syrup! I will say though, it was a little bit gritty as you got to the end of the latte. Theres also an area to sit outside and inside. All in all, an amazing spot that I'd love to visit again!

We fell in love with the pastries--each one with a unique Persian spin on flavor. My favorites are still the Kouign-Amann, Pain Aux Raisin, and the Feta-Za'atar and Orange Marzipan Scones. But the true jewel of La Saison is the Kuku Sabzi on Sea Salt Focaccia. It is unbelievably good. What makes La Saison even more special are the owners, Sarah and Soheil. Their warmth, creativity, and genuine care for their customers shine through in everything they do. You can feel their heart in every pastry and bread and every interaction. La Saison has become one of those rare places that feels both special and comforting, and we're grateful it's part of the neighborhood.
