Under new ownership for a year or so and started off a bit slow but has settled back into being an exceptional coffee shop. Their pastries and croissants are absolutely delicious. Coffee is also very good - one small critique would be that they do not fill the coffee up to the top when ordering a black coffee and the ambience while ok is not as warm as the old spot which featured books to read, browse and purchase. read more

Fair to poor. Stopped in and ordered a veggie wrap. No taste. I asked for advocado. They said they have to charge me 50 cents for the avocado which was fine. This is a really good place for breakfast, especially for the kids. Lot of variety in their menu. But children mostly love their colorful interior and the books that they have placed on the shelves. It's like a mini library. So, you get to enjoy your breakfast with hot tea/coffee while reading a book. Just don't forget to put the book back on the rack before you leave lol. I had a sandwich and it was not bad. I would have loved crispier bacon, but I was in a hurry and didn't really care. The bread was fresh though. The staff is friendly, but you can feel ignored if the place gets too busy. It's a small breakfast cafe. read more

The food and coffee quality are much improved since this place was purchased by the owners of Blue Moon. The muffins are fresh now and no longer neon colored. They have also done a nice job of renovating the place. The bagels are smaller than they used to be, though. read more

Average to poor. Arrived at 8:30am on a Wednesday... three people at tables, no one in line. Ordered a toasted bagel with butter. Specifically asked that the bagel be Toasted not just warmed. Ordered Dark Roast coffee. Bagel was lukewarm - barely a brownish edge - like it was in the toaster for 15 seconds. Their dark roast coffee is a medium roast coffee everywhere else. The new owners bought a locally owned coffee shop that had sponsored local kids sports teams, hired local kids. Seems to have lost that ambiance for me. Maybe I just dislike change, but it doesn't feel like a Holliston coffee shop anymore and the food is just average. read more

The baked goods are excellent. The coffee is some of the worst I've had from a coffee shop anywhere. Try ordering any iced coffee or iced espresso drink and you'll see what I mean. Extremely watered down. If they can improve the coffee, this is a 5-star place. read more

Stopped in on a work break a few weeks ago. Clean, minimalist ambience. Ordered an egg sandwich that was fresh if a little bit bland. Maybe some more greens or a sauce on the side? Spices at the side counter for personalized taste? Was trying to check something on my tablet and maybe make some calls when the local middle schoolers streamed in. Unless you love that much background noise, I would recommend avoiding mid afternoons on a weekday. Willing to go back and give it another try as I hear it's under new ownership. Since changing ownership it's just no good anymore. The atmosphere is bright, sterile and cafeteria like. Dropping red barn coffee was a bad idea... general flavor and quality as well as flavor options were delicious. The new coffee is gross. The sandwiches aren't as good anymore as well. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to make sure I can stop here for coffee. Also they have this breakfast sandwich that I'm mildly obsessed with called "here comes the boom" and it's so good. Consistency is key for me and I'm never disappointed here. Sometimes the line is slow moving so give yourself extra time, but totally worth it!! read more

This is very small spot, tucked away off a residential sort of area. The staff, compromised of young women, are friendly and nice. I've been there twice now, and both times, the bagels were delicious (which is A LOT coming from a native New Yorker.) I have yet to find comparable bagels in the area, and I'm not sure where they get theirs from, but it is worth the visit. During my first visit, I also tried some of their iced coffee; I had the chocolate raspberry flavor. It wasn't bad, and there are several other flavors to choose from as well. They are currently offering indoor seating, and they have a couple of tables set up right out front as well. It's not a large cafe, but there were some patrons sitting inside. There's also a gift store type situation attached adjacent to the cafe, as well as a couple of shelves with books available to purchase. I briefly browsed around, and they seem to have a mix of old and new, for kids and adults but there isn't a huge selection as it's a small shop to begin with. Still a nice touch! I am so glad I live close to this coffee shop because it's astronomically delicious. I come here way too often. They use coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee so that it doesn't water it down when they melt. They have a large selection of coffee flavors and they are really good. The food is also amazing. Reasonably priced and tastes great. Service is unmatched and they always get your order out quick no matter how busy they are. I would come here everyday if I could. The owners and staff are super friendly. If you don't like this place, you're wrong. I recommend the cinnamon sticky bun flavored iced coffee. I also recommend the bagels. I eat bagels almost everyday and their bagels are my favorite so just trust me and get them. Although there is a Dunkin' Donuts a few minutes away, you are much better off coming here. If coffee shops were NFL quarterbacks, Coffee Haven would be Tom Brady, aka the goat. When this place closed because of Covid, I cried for a week and three days. It's open now though so don't you fret. read more

This place deserves 5 stars for their delicious food and great service. I heard the person taking orders address someone by their name.. meaning they really go above and beyond with customer service, which I really appreciate. I am super impressed with the iced coffee and coffee ice cubes. I thought that was such a genius idea so coffee won't taste watered down. I wish more places would have that. I had the buffalo chicken wrap for lunch along with a cranberry orange scone and that was delicious. I then really wanted to get the cranberry walnut chicken wrap since so many people in line got it and because of all the great reviews about it. I had to because I wasn't from Holliston but instead from Boston and wasn't sure when I'll be back. So, addition to the cranberry walnut chicken wrap, I also got chocolate chip cookies and another scone to go so I could share it with my loved ones. This place should not be overlooked and I highly recommend it. Definitely try the cranberry walnut chicken salad wrap. It was so flavorful and tasty.. and such a different combination I never had before. It definitely did not disappoint. If you're a scone lover, definitely grab one to go or eat one there! Adorable spot in the middle of Holliston - with great wifi! Very popular - but a good amount of table to snag. Good assortment of bakery options. I had an almond croissant and a coffee with almond milk. The best part is the mini bookstore inside the cafe. Such a great idea. This was a great meeting spot with a friend. Ordered an egg/cheese/tomato/pesto sandwich on english muffins, tasty! Also ice coffee and a small pastry. We were a little hungry after running the 10k Holliston trail race, but definitely satisfied w/our breakfast. Plus the staff served us out order. I always came here to do work in high school and even on breaks from college I'm sure to stop by a few times while home. The food is delicious-especially the veggie wrap and the chocolate chip cookie. Lots of coffee flavors and their iced coffee has coffee cubes! They even have a little area to browse and purchase books. Lines can be long but there's usually enough workers that you're not waiting more than ten minutes. If you're in a rush though, might be best to call in your order on the way! The shop has been in town longer than I've been alive. You can tell the owners have put in a lot of love and dedication into the place and it's a popular spot in the town! They recently redecorated and it looks great. Worth the trip! read more

I have Yelp to thank for leading me to this unassuming but totally satisfying cafe. My boyfriend and I try to consistently support local, small business - especially when coffee is involved! We each had a bacon egg & cheese on a fresh bagel - so good- not too eggy, or cheesy or bacony - perfect combination. The coffees? Delicious - he had an iced latte and I had an iced coffee that was suggested by the girl who helped us - coconut and Swiss chocolate almond - super tasty, not too sweet and hello, the coffee ice cubes? Genius! We make them at home and I'm always saying I'm surprised nobody offers them - way to go Coffee Haven! Pastry options in the case, and a menu showed there are lunch items too. The staff was super friendly, offered suggestions and seemed generally happy to be there. Also no pressure or annoyance at us perusing the menu and taking our time. Prices are totally reasonable compared to other places nearby and the whole place was neat and clean. We'll definitely be back! read more

Adorable cafe with tons of seating and an obvious connection to the local community! I stopped in at around 1pm on a weekday (it was empty) and ordered the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Sandwich on a wheat wrap with an iced coffee.The employees were really accommodating and even though the sandwich took a while (10 min), I was able to peruse their book rack (they sell books there!) to pass the time. I had forgotten to mention that I wanted the wrap to stay but the employee who gave me my to-go bag (actually delivered it to the table I was sitting at) nicely said it was okay and brought me a paper plate for my to-stay lunch. The chicken salad was wonderful -- lots of chicken and just the perfect amount of mayo and walnuts -- I thoroughly enjoyed it! The iced coffee was okay -- nothing special in terms of flavor, honestly think they can use different coffee beans for stronger coffee- but the fact that they use coffee ice cubes was genius and it definitely made the coffee taste stronger over time. Great service, lots of seating and a wonderful selection of sandwiches, soups, salads and sweets all with that small town feel. Will stop by again! read more

I was going to give one star but I gave another for pity because I WANTED to like this place. I'm new to the area and was looking for a good cup of coffee and maybe even a pastry. When I saw online that this place was a "bookstore" I got very excited and imagined myself sipping a nice local coffee brew reading a best seller in some cute little nook. Yeah, but no. When I got there I was very disappointment that the "bookstore" was just a shelf with crappy books, and mainly children's books mind you. Ok, fine. Got in line and this little teenage bippy had a bit of a 'tude with me and annoyingly took my order: coffee. *SIGH* To get to the point, the coffee tasted like it was watered down and it just plain sucked. I wasted no time. I threw away the coffee after 2 sips. Jumped in my car and typed in "Muffin House" in my GPS where I was finally happy to receive good service and a cup of bloody damn good coffee! read more

Kindest staff. About two years ago I walked after school with some friends. We ordered individually and when I came to pay, it was probably around $6.75. It turned out I was actually a dollar short but the kind guy behind the counter told me not to worry about it. I eventually got a loan from a friend and was able to pay it off with a small tip. I'm a weekly regular at this coffee shop since it's so close to the bike path. After every long run I treat myself to a baked good treat and an ice coffee. One thing I love about this place is they put coffee ice cubes in your ice coffee (and they put decaf coffee ice cubes in your decaf ice coffee!). On weekend mornings there's usually a line to place your order, but there so many attentive staff behind the counter, the lines usually goes pretty quick. They have a variety of baked goods, like muffins, cinnamon rolls, and scones; I go-to baked good treat are the cinnamon scones (they're SO good!). I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I'm not a fan of theirs (the egg yolk is separated in the sandwich). I'll be back here this weekend after my long run for my treat and coffee! read more

Ugh. I wish reviews could be based on the products/services offered alone, but that just isn't the case. Atmosphere, cleanliness, and the underlying messages sent by a business matter as well, amongst other things. I walked into Coffee Haven thinking I was supporting the "little guy" through and through. I was a small business owner for 8 years and understand how hard it is to compete with the big guys. I'd much rather get a coffee from an independent local shop than a large chain. I ordered my coffee from a very friendly employee who got right to work. As I was waiting I turned around to take in the atmosphere of the shop and I saw a wall of books. I scan the wall until the final row and what do my eyes land on? "White Fragility" ... SIGH. I was awfully close to saying forget it on the coffee but the employee was very kind and almost done with the order. I don't believe she was the owner as I read that it was owned by an older couple. Wherever you lie on the political spectrum, it doesn't matter. This is propaganda and now it's being force-fed to our kids in school.. I'm sorry, ZOOM school. Coffee Haven, by having this book on your shelf you are supporting a racist narrative and the indoctrination of innocent kids. I'm no snowflake and therefore I'm not personally offended; simply disappointed to see someone else - a small business no less!! - falling for the disgusting BS forced down their throats by the media.
