It was amazing. It was even better than what we were told. It was very small inside, which was wonderful but the moment you pulled into the driveway, it was tons of people up there park so you had to kind of wiggle into his face cause it's parking and you get out all you smell was turkey in the food cooking and everything was amazing and they have some beautiful hanging pots. That were very reasonable and fresh tomato plants. Lots a nice fresh vegetables were very welcoming. We walked in. We explained that 1 of our children give us a gift card and that it was our first time and we wanted to get some lunch so they told us what they're their main item was which was the number two thanksgiving sandwich we then got two containers of their homemade coleslaw, which was wonderful. They had a wide variety of desserts, pies, cakes, cookies, etc. we were so full from dinner from lunch. Excuse me that we did not get dessert but we had promised we would come back we did, however, find out that they do do catering in the platters with absolutely out of this world. They had several kinds of bread as well for the sandwiches this time we got a wrap I think next time we'll definitely probably get it on like a whole-grain bread that they had because the wrap was just too much. But everybody was kind and friendly and helpful and welcoming, and that we were outside waves of the call our name and they brought our sandwiches right out to us. It was so big. We were only able to eat about maybe 3/4 and they brought the rest home for later. Met some nice people there that were singing on the tables and then the young fellow was taking the meat and stuff out of the smoker they had outside and he while we were there they took out the Rose turkey breast that they had been doing in the in the smoker, they also had ribs as well as a ham. They say they run it continuously all the time so I believe that it was just a lot of stuff going on, but there was definitely a lot of choices they had made to order. They also had fresh and they had frozen for you to take home. So this is I really like the variety we will go back. read more

Picked up some Turkey Dinners for Thanksgiving as I was told the outpost farm is a very popular place for thanksgiving turkeys. Since I only needed enough food for two and didn't want to do the whole cooking all day thing, I got a premade dinner that consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and butternut squash - plus gravy and cranberry sauce. The portions/serving sizes were huge - had plenty and then some, leftovers for days!! We got it a few days early and put it in the freezer to keep...Took it out two days before eating time and let it defrost in the fridge. Transferred everything but the turkey to pots/pans on the stove for heating instead of the microwave and put the turkey in the oven day of. It was super easy to reheat everything and get it to temp. I had concerns about the mashed potatoes as those can be weird sometimes but they reheated perfectly. Everything tasted SO good, full of flavor, and very delish! The turkey was very moist and tender - like fall apart and the flavor of the gravy, and sides were all excellent. I think this was probably one of the best turkeys I have had. Definitely want to try the outpost farm again as I am sure everything they have is great. I was very happy with the choice and outcome and it made our Thanksgiving meal like a home cooked meal minus the mess and all the cooking lol. read more

I'm lucky enough to drive by Outpost Farms every few days. I happen to drive by the day before Thanksgiving and decided to stop in. I know it can get pretty crazy around this time of year but the parking looked reasonable for 6:00 pm so what the heck! I was looking to see if they had a very small turkey around 10 lbs and they did not, but what they did have was a turkey breast about 8.5 lbs. Absolutely perfect. They were very kind even though they had all been there all day helping poor saps like me. I also ended up grabbing some stuffing ( amazing by the way ) and a few pies. I'm in town from California, and since we are so close to Thanksgiving and turkey is my primary protein, I wanted to make a Thanksgiving dinner with my dad and brother and other loved ones. One of my values is that I do my best to purchase my food from local vendors who have my shared values of knowing where your food comes from, how it's produced, and doesn't have to travel far to get to your table. Not really a restaurant but loved our meal. We tried turkey burgers, a turkey sandwich and the chicken plate. Just loved everything. The chicken comes in dark or white meat. Outpost Farm is a favorite of mine, and I go there quite often. Right now, I have one of their large turkey pies in the oven and smells delicious as always. I also love their turkey salads and coleslaw. They slice turkey to bring hone and have gravy along with it. They have frozen pastured meats from nearby farms also. They have great soups and pies. Everything is very fresh and delicious. I've been going there for a very long time and never had a problem. The young men help me bring my bags out to my car and are very helpful in my purchases. My children 18 and older never like eating pie however for thanksgiving a friend bought an apple and a pumpkin pie for us. We have always gotten some of our holiday fixings from here (gravy, pie, squash, etc.) But went for lunch for the first time and wow the thanksgiving sandwich is incredible and for under $10!! I've been coming to Outpost Farm since I was a kid. It's a cute off-the-beaten-path farm stand that offers delicious sandwiches and sides all year round. I always get what I would call the "thanksgiving" sandwich. It's filled with tender turkey, fresh cranberry sauce, warm stuffing and mayo (if you ask for it). Along side the sandwich, I ordered the potato salad. It comes by the pound but it's only around $4 so I have plenty of left overs. Outpost offers many other things like fresh turkeys, pies and freshly local grown produce. It's a nice place to stop when you're on a scenic backroad ride. read more

This is based entirely on going over to buy a pie and two quarts of gravy two days before thanksgiving. Lines I get.... it's prime time. To ask the guy working the gravy cooler for two quarts and to get home and find frozen solid gravy - disappointing. All the supermarkets can sell fresh non frozen gravy without a problem. On top of that, there was no packed on date... with that issue alone the gravy got put back in the freezer and will NOT make a thanksgiving debut, instead perhaps used as a base for turkey pot pies. We had to make a last minute trip to Roche Bros, for Fresh - non-Frozen turkey gravy for use on our t-day bird. A turkey farm that can't offer fresh gravy- sad. The sandwiches we love - sadly this review is based on thanksgiving disappointment. read more

Been coming here for years.... Had been feeling well the last few days with a cold so I called on my way by there today to order a quart of turkey noodle soup or turkey vegetable soup as they said it was I got it home went to heat it up tonight there was not hardly any turkey in the soup at all it was all carrots potatoes and onion there was one little tiny chunk the size of a fingernail of turkey on the very bottom of the seat. I just gave the my car to look at the price I'll look at the price of my bank account in a while but if it's more than $5 I am really going to be bad well there are other places that serve other soups and turkeys and everything else so thank you for the memories everybody but you won't be seeing me again thank you read more

This is sad.... We bought our turkey for Christmas Eve pre cooked (20ish pounds and $215). It was still warm when we got home, so we sliced it to slice it. It is so dry it's crumbling.... If you are charging double per pound to cook the turkey you shouldn't be serving over cooked dry as can be turkey... read more

Multiple signs on the outside of the business say "curbside pick up" and have a phone number to call, but when you call they tell you to go up to the window to pick it up. So that's a lie. There is a line to pick up for people who have already paid, so you think it would go fast, but I have been waiting 20 minutes and it has not moved once. We ordered in advance days ago, but it looks like Out Post has not been prepared or done anything in advance. Update: Still waiting in the "already paid just pick up" line and have seen AT LEAST 4 different people go back because there order was missing items or had the wrong items. So unorganized, will not go back here and I haven't even tried the food. Update 2: After seeing so many people get there order wrong I checked to make sure the 2 items I ordered, ham and carrots, were in the bag. Guess what? Yup they forgot the carrots and only gave me a ham. Complete disaster of a place. I don't care how good the food is, never going back. read more
