Still love Marathon! Those are my guys. They always do a great job with my sandwiches and wraps. One of the latest sides I've really enjoyed is their blackened chicken pasta. Please do yourself a favor and get it with your sandwich or sub. Sheesh. It's that good, and I can't order from there without it now. Another goodie is their chicken milanese salad if you want something lighter and fresh. If you're a runner or fan of the Boston Marathon, you'll love the ambiance with all the jackets mounted on the walls of past marathons. read more

We've done takeout a few times while visiting the family. They make solid sandwiches and subs that's filled with meats and veggies. My kiddos wanted the chicken broccoli pasta and the BLT. The chicken broccoli pasta was tasty but the ziti was a little too soft for me. The sauce was light (less dairy; more broth) and there were loads of broccoli and chicken chunks. The BLT was filled to the brim with bacon which made my eldest very happy. My husband got the Dixie. Chicken was moist and it was on good bread. He wished it was spicy or had another sauce other than just mayo - his fault for not asking for it, though! read more

I had never been here before. I asked the owner for a chicken parm sub and jokingly asked if theirs was good. He said they sell a lot of them. When I got home it was eggplant parm. I called the deli and the owner said I had ordered eggplant parm. I know what I ordered. He offered to make me a chicken parm sub but I said no. I cannot eat fried eggplant so it went into the trash. read more

Good wraps with fresh ingredients. Somewhat skimpy and pricey but if you don't mind paying a little extra they are tasty. Order in advance because parking is tight. There are better choices in the area if you are looking for quantity for the money. Will you go wrong there, no but its not my first choice for wraps and sandwiches. read more

Drove out there today with a friend after reading about 10 deli restaurants that were highly rated in the metro west area. We were not disappointed. We had hot subs...I the steak bomb and my friend had the veal parm. Both of us agreed it was well worth the ride. We both ordered the large subs and both of us took half home. First time there it is easy to be overwhelmed by the extensive menu posted over the counter so suggest you look it over online. After we visit all 10 mentioned in the article, I'm sure we will return for another great lunch. read more

This was a completely accidental find while in the area for work. I was immediately impressed with the menu and more importantly the staff and their customer interactions. We ordered our food... which was fantastic and then we settled up. I have been back three times and the the owner (I presume) has mentioned thanks for coming back. I am always impressed when staff remembers guest after a single visit... I would like to consider myself a regular now. read more

This place is the best deli around. Possibly the best deli I have ever been too. Only moved to Ashland a month ago and have been here at least 6 times. Every sandwich myself or my friends have ordered has been thoroughly enjoyed. Great chip selection, yummy fruit cups, quality brownies. Anything marathon does; they do it right. My favorite spot to grab a meal in Ashland. The team works at breakneck speed to give you a fresh sandwich or one of their plates. Probably eaten here over 100 times and never disappoints. There is huge variety on the menu for even the pickiest of family members. Highly recommend the chicken ceaser wrap but also recommend you try the hot food items. read more

Small and can get really crowded, especially after work. Everyone behind the counter is really friendly and they do their best to get your order to you as fast as possible. I usually get their wraps..the cape coddah is ah-mazing. It's a chicken salad wrap with cranberries and walnuts. Their ingredients always taste fresh and they are very generous with the portion sides. Their wraps are huge and can really make two full meals. read more

I had concerns about the mashed potatoes as those can be weird sometimes but they reheated perfectly. Everything tasted SO good, full of flavor, and very delish! The turkey was very moist and tender - like fall apart and the flavor of the gravy, and sides were all excellent. I think this was probably one of the best turkeys I have had. Definitely want to try the outpost farm again as I am sure everything they have is great. I was very happy with the choice and outcome and it made our Thanksgiving meal like a home cooked meal minus the mess and all the cooking lol.

Cheap, poorly made food. If you are absolutely desperate for a sandwich and there are literally no other options, you could waste your money on a wrap that's 90% lettuce or mayo. I don't see why you would, when a much better option- Taqueria Mexico- is available across the street. Oh, and the owners are rude pricks who won't apologize when their delivery driver does damage to your property, because you made a joke about having a beer with the driver [I literally said "you look tired man, you want an ale or a joint instead of a tip? hahaha" which I quickly followed up with a "dude I'm kidding, I'm sorry" when it appeared that the drive took me seriously. I would never give someone who's about to drive any kind of substances, it was purely a joke based on how run down and pissed off he looked. I was trying to cheer him up; if he didn't think it was funny, that's fine and I did apologize. I was 18 years old at the time, in the middle of a party and thought I was funny, sue me. And that word makes perfect sense as the namesake of this wonderful little Framingham deli. Their menu is loaded with the ethnic delights you'll find in any NY Style Deli - Reuben and Rachel sandwiches, Hot Pastrami, Bagels and Lox, Whitefish Salad, Potato Latkes, Matzoh Ball Soup, Herring, Kishka, Challah French Toast, and yes........... Noodle Kugel. We had checked out their deep menu the day before and knew what we wanted - a Whitefish & Lox Platter ($25) with a choice of Bagel, a choice of cream cheese served with lettuce, onions and tomatoes, and cucumbers. We added an extra bagel for $1.75. Now, I have to tell you that we were incredulous when this huge platter of very reasonably priced platter of food was delivered to our table. I bet there was between a third and a half pound of lox, plenty of vegetable cream cheese, a ramekin of whitefish salad, and a garden of lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced purple onions, and cucumber slices. The bagels were pretty big and were everything you want in a bagel -nice and chewy/crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We each had one half of our respective bagels with cream cheese, lox, and onions, and the other half with whitefish, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. One customer service caught my eye immediately -those big tomato slices had been carefully trimmed to take out the core. That drives me batshit crazy when a restaurant apathetically doesn't do that. Staying on the customer service theme, our server was very attentive, with plenty of checkbacks and coffee refills. We packed up our leftovers and finished them off the next day. So that fish yielded us four servings. I promise you this....... The next time we are looking for breakfast between Boston and Worcester... I know where we'll end up. We might even get some Kugel at Kugel!
