My coffee break is 15 minutes long. I thought a very basic egg and cheese sandwich was doable in 15 minutes. It's not. Just want to start off saying that I'm not usually a fan of diner style Americana breakfast but this place was great! Definitely a hidden gem in this area and so happy we stumbled upon it randomly today. All the food hit the spot and wasn't greasy like a lot of diners I've been to. I asked for bacon extra crispy and it was perfect. The corned beef hash had crispness and wasn't overly salty like a lot of places. Everyone was super nice and loved that our water cups had ice. My sister and I went there today for the first and LAST TIME. It was horrible - someone should teach their cook that OVERFRYING AND BURNING food is not the way to go. I had a BLT which I promptly sent back - looked like that had two leftover slices of burnt white bread and decided to use it for my BLT - horrible - my sister got the fish and chips - so it must be hard for the cook to open up a box of frozen fish and then fry it in old oil until it was like a cracker - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and serve good food - and by the way no longer did we get home after leaving your establishment that my sister vomited that disgusting lunch. read more

Went there on a Saturday morning and had the Breakfast Plate, consisting of eggs made to order, choice of meat (had Canadian bacon), home fries, and choice of toast. I had eggs over easy, and they were made just the way I like them. The Canadian bacon was a little too salty. The home fries were good but could have been made with onions for more flavor. The toast was a little too soft. But it was still a good basic breakfast. My first cup of coffee was good, but the second and third weren't as good, perhaps not being fresh. The atmosphere reminded me of Cheers, where the regulars come to meet and hang out. Overall, I would probably come again, if I was in the mood for a basic breakfast. such a local gem! i passed by this place all the time but i never stepped foot in until now. the space is small and homey, feels like a family owned restaurant so i had a feeling it was going to be good. prices are reasonable considering how big of a portion you get. we ordered the breakfast set where you can choose how many eggs, type of toast, and side of meat, plus it comes with the home fries which when i tasted it are cooked in their bacon fat, so delish! additionally we ordered the veggie and cheese omelette which was so gigantic i could barely finish it. it had american cheese, personally i prefer a stringier cheese but this was still solid. a no frills restaurant, reliable, hearty, and worth the price. service was quick and friendly. i would definitely come back here again, it's going to have a special place in my heart. read more

We love Weston Road Cafe. Before My husband passed we'd come here as much as possible I love all the food one of my favorite things is the jumbo corn muffin cut in half and grilled with butter. We love that this is a mom and pop family restaurant with beautiful photos of Greece. Just went to Weston Road Cafe and this place is fantastic! Super duper hole in the wall, like 10 tables. Coffee was fantastic, the staff was very nice and the food was great. I had bacon that was perfectly crispy, home fries that were soft, crunchy, and seasoned correctly and BIG! Eggs were light, fluffy and I like mine dry - so they were cooked just before the point of rubbery (which is how I liked them) AND they have hot sauce on the table. I'm also a pancake addict - they let you order just 1 pancake. Fantastic. Highly recommend this place. I mentioned to them on my way out the door that they should remember my face because I'm now a regular. I'll be back. read more

Years back I had one or two good breakfasts here. So recently I decided to try their lunch items. I was on the go so I ordered a large chicken salad sub with tomatoes only for my takeout. I paid $9 for it. I was really looking forward to a nice fresh sandwich. The sandwich came out quickly. I really like the little café spot and feel bad to have to say this, however, I was more than extremely disappointed. The bread tasted store bought the chicken salad was clearly from a blender and the diced tomatoes were overly ripe and actually tasted bad. I say this hoping that the Weston Rd Café will reconsider how they make sandwiches and choose homemade and freshness in the future. read more

The holy grail of superb gourmet food. I found this cafe after being out of Wellesley for some time. I just had a swiss cheese omelette with spinach which is pure gourmet, perfection in cooking, texture, and taste . The red skin home fries are beyond belief, get Bacon too, you have never tasted Bacon like this. I got the raisin toast, oh my it is amazing. I have been going here since it was called "Ernie's" and remained a loyal customer through many sets of owners, and Stellios is by FAR the best in terms of food and service. The people who work there are so friendly and they know my regular order and have it written down by the time I'm walking through the door from my car. The food is great, nothing too fancy (but I'm not looking for fancy when I come here), definitely diner options but I have never had a better tuna melt or cheesesteak. Their coffee is also delicious. Also their breakfast sandwiches are out of this world and the sausage patties are so yummy. They used to only take cash and check, but now that they have internet, they accept credit cards... YAY! My only complaints are that they aren't open on Sunday's booo and that Wednesday's are crazy when the Wellesley schools have early release but I think it's nice that they are willing to have all of the kids, after all I use to be one of them and was always treated well. read more

Kids from the Fells part of Wellesley seem to like Weston Road Cafe a lot. It closes early, though--like 3 on weekdays--and isn't open Sundays. I think the food is probably comparable to La Riviera's, and the funny part is that the prices are very similar even though La Riviera dresses it up a little more. For lunch, the Greek salad with grilled chicken is delicious and healthy - reminds me of a salad my mom might make (she's a great cook). This weekend I branched out and had a tuna melt. No kidding- it was the best tuna melt I've ever had! Everything was perfect in perfect proportions. The side of crispy fries were well worth the calories.
