Possibly the worst pizza I have ever had in my entire life! Ordered two 18" pizzas via GrubHub, a sausage & ricotta, and a pepperoni. The former was a swimming pool of liquid on top, and wasn't even sliced. Unsliced pizza? Maybe they were worried all that liquid would destroy the box if they sliced it? The crust of the second one was actually soggy. Floppy pizza is a thing, but it shouldn't disintegrate! Also, the cheese over-cooked so that the oil separated, and the pizza was extremely salty. Combine that with the GrubHub (or store's?) driver just dropping the pizzas in my neighbor's driveway, and a photo of the location didn't show up for some time in the app, so I had to wander around randomly looking for my pizzas in my pajamas. Ate a few slices, but threw the rest in the garbage. Basically inedible. Never again! read more

Had high hopes for this place, but sadly the prosciutto Paradisio fell flat. The prosciutto was really stringy and chewy and lacked tomato and mozzarella. The balsamic was tasty, but the amount was too small. I wish the bread was something more special than just a sub roll. They do have a really good deal on Monday for a buy one get one meatball sub. Husby said the meatballs were really delicious & tender. He's a fan of the sub roll. They were out of the lasagna, which I really wanted to try so I'll have to come back again and give it another go. The pizza & mozz sticks looks good as well. read more

I've been eyeing Mortadella Head for a while, and my parents stopped in when they visited for a couple sandwiches. I'll give the Somerville location a shot, but definitely not Wellesley. My mom ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and was expecting a lot more than literally JUST steak and cheese. I'm used to maybe peppers and onions with it too which already turned me off, but all I tasted when I gave it a try I only tasted the meat, no cheese - this made it really lackluster and the meat was just alright. My dad's cold cut wasn't anything special. I've seen the famous chicken caesar sub online and that looks super good, and I would totally try that but I wouldn't be too inclined to come back. read more

Game changing for Metrowest, which was a pizza desert before Mortadella Head. I have no need for another pizza joint. Great pepperoni,l and specialty pizzas (try the chicken parm). Hot and cold subs also excellent. High quality ingredients and passionate staff. I'm as lucky as they come and I love it. read more

Been wanting to try this spot for a while so I took advantage of the Tuesday pizza deal to grab lunch for my family on a work from home day. Called in my order at noon and picked up at 12:20 (quick service). The restaurant has a few spots to sit bar style if you want to grab a quick bite. Caesars pie is DELICIOUS, and the Roman style cheese hit the spot. Will absolutely be back to try other pizzas, and their viral chicken Caesar sub! read more

I kept seeing this place pop up on my TikTok about the Caesar sandwich and being a Caesar salad lover I had to come and give this a try ! The sandwich did not disappoint at all ! I love the fact that they put crispy chicken instead of grilled chicken and the meat to lettuce ratios was perfect for me ! I did need some extra dressing on the side tho but that is my personal preference, I like it a little saucier lol. Please decrease the salt in the porchetta! My dad puts salt on everything (including bacon) and even without additional salt we both felt like the porchetta was EXCESSIVELY salty. Almost to the point of my tongue burning, and not from the spicy mayo. I do believe it has the potential for being a great sub (good roll, meat is tender and juicy) but the salt levels are so off. If you don't trust this review, ask people you trust what they think. read more

I tried the Somerville location, so this location is closer to me. So I'll this location. The issued i had was I ordered a Roman Style Pizza and it was over cooked. The crust was very hard and I was disappointed, flavor of the pizza was good. I will try them again. read more

Checked it out the other day . Small place had to park across the street . Prices are fair, porchetta sub was good , filled with porchetta , broccoli rabe . Good size . Only complaint was the roll .. a little to "wet" not sure with what ? Pizza was just ok . Undercarriage was very hard .. and seemed a little lite on cheese .. staff was friendly . I had high hopes with a name like Mortadella Head. Honestly, maybe one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. We ordered Roman version of Mamaluke. It arrived 35 minutes after being picked up by Grub Hub though the place is 15 mins away (not the restaurant's fault). It was cold. But a cold, good pizza would've been tolerable. This had a really thick, cement-like crust. Overloaded with a cloying, thick sauce. Overly salty meatballs. Just inedible. We threw the whole thing out. Very disappointing. read more

Ordered online it was easy. Got the Caesar chopped salad, a mortadella head special and a chicken sandwich. All were tasty. The mortadella head weighed 1.7 lb. It was so big and heavy we put it on the scale! It was good for 3 meals. Can't wait to go back and try their pizza and meatballs! Stay tuned! read more

Decent sandwich shop. I wanted to give them 5 stars so bad but there were too many issues. And having been in business for many years elsewhere, they've had all the practice. The steak and cheese (triple cheese) was great flavor and perfect amount of cheese - sadly the roll was soggy-ish. Chicken Campagna was delicious both times we ordered it but the cutlets were soggy and first time rabe was bitter and unseasoned, while second time it was insanely salted. Caesar salad sub was the shining star - Perfectly dressed, great flavor and the prosciutto took it to the next level. Square Buffalo chicken pizza slice was good too. Place was way out of control. Orders way backed up beyond quoted time. 9 employees looking like they were all putting out fires. Client next to me went to pick up call in order and they couldn't find it. He even showed them the # on his phone to prove he called. They took his order again and said 30-40 min more instead of jumping the error to beginning of line. They need to be a little more organized I think :-) will definitely return if in the area. Best of luck !! read more
