So I guess this is my own fault for ordering a sub from a place called "BrickFire Pizza" where clearly pizza is the main focus... I was in the area for work and was not about to order a whole pizza for myself for lunch. So I opted for a "house made" tuna sub and let me tell you, they should start out-sourcing it asap!! I hate to say this but it was probably one of the worst subs I've had in a while; watery, flavorless tuna that was slopped together with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. It didn't even look appetizing! I took a few bites and threw it away. I can't comment on the pizza but I would stay away from the subs at this place :( read more

I would have to say that this was one the best dishes I've tried recently that was filling and delicious and the garlic bread that came with it was good as well but a bit soggy which was okay but back to the main dish the chicken soft and crispy and well cook which good flavor and the spaghetti was made just right plus the sauce along with it seem good but could have had more flavor put into it but nothing crazy needs to be done just an extra hfmmm could do for the price it was a bit high but a good portion that will fill you up or leave some for leftovers but please try for yourself and tell me what you think 4/5 :) read more

BrickFire Pizza Co is located on the corner of Oak St and Chestnut St, sharing a small plaza with Allstar Liquors. They offer counter service and an airy space for those who dine in at one of five 4 tops and a 2 top on the left, and a 10 seat communal high top on the right by the soda case. Their menu is well posted on screens above the counter, displaying both description and prices clearly. BrickFire's pizza is thin crust, made with their own pizza dough and signature red sauce. We opted for the 12 inch Caprese (signature red sauce, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, basil, balsamic glaze $16.50) with the glaze on the side, and were told it would be 20 min. I made good time, and the pizza was boxed and ready for me. Unfortunately it was no longer even warm by the time I got it back - no surprise since it was a very thin crust. A run through the toaster oven however did its magic. With a normal firing, the crust was golden in color and crispy chewy, the sauce sweet savory, and there was both tomatoes and mozzarella on each slice, and a nice sprinkling of sliced basil. The balsamic glaze was on the side as requested - a generous pour in a little condiment container of a satisfyingly thick dark glaze. Crispy might have resulted in some burnt spots on the pizza pie, so I'm glad I didn't make that special request, as we are an anti-charcoal consuming household. Five years ago, I bought a certificate for BrickFire on LocalFlavor, which is similar to Groupon, but not as popular. It still exists online (I googled it), but the promotional value ($20) expired after a year, while the paid value ($10) expires this year (5 years) according to the fine print on the second page. For my 2023 visit, I called ahead to check about how to redeem the paid value and asked to speak with the manager. He's worked there 4 years and had never heard of LocalFlavor. He could not honor the certificate but was willing to give me $10 in free food. I appreciated that but told him I would bring in the certificate anyhow so he could see that I was being honest. My suggestion would be to dine in on site when possible for the best experience of their food. Consumed cold, their pizza would have been 3 stars - okay. However, based on my experience of their service and the pizza once warmed back up, 4 stars - worthy of a return visit. read more

Chose delivery during a college football game watch at home. It was efficient and fast. The pizza was good but my order was incorrect - ordered pepperoni and got a cheese pizza. Called the restaurant and they apologized and removed the charge for pepperoni. It was too far away and not worth trying to make the order right- but they did offer it. Used to love this place. I work right around the corner and go 2-3 times a week and get the same exact thing 99% of the time, a chicken ceaser wrap on wheat. Lately I go in and theres always something wrong, they didnt put my order in, I go to pick it up and they say its not ready meanwhile its sitting on the shelf behind them, its always service related with the same guy working the counter. Today I went in 10mins after I had called in my wrap and I was the only customer there and I was there for another 10-15mins before they even started on my order. The guy behind the counter was staring at his phone and the cooks were joking around half working. I asked a few times if it was ready and the final time when I said "I got to go can i just grab a slice of pizza" the guy behind the counter shrugged and pointed to raw chicken that was placed on the grill and said "we're working on it now" like I was the one who was in the wrong and made no move to get me a slice of pizza or help the situation. I was mad and I had to go so I left empty handed even though i had paid. I have never written a bad review for a place in my life. But i hope the owner sees this and realizes theres a guy working his counter with a bad attitude that doesnt give a damn thats messing with his business, because they just lost a 2-3x a week customer and if the guy cares that little about his job im sure im not the only angry customer. Brick fire pizza is great! The individual slices are massive and have great toppings. It's cheap for two slices and a drink, which is more than enough for a meal. Calzones are great too. Good atmosphere, clean restaurant. One of my favorite places to get a bite to eat after work! read more

I have driven by so many times, and always thought "I really need to try it sometime"; that day finally happened yesterday because it was 5pm and I hadn't eaten all day. I ordered a slice from the nice guy (maybe 17/18?) and a few minutes later a giant slice of deliciousness was presented to me. The crust was crispy, but not at all burned; I have friends who love burnt crusts, but I like to taste mine. I have been ordering pizza from BrickFire for years and have always loved it! If I were reviewing just the pizza, there would be 5 stars. Today, for the first time, I ordered a salad with extra dressing, no peppers or onions. I also ordered the two cookies for $1.50. I picked up the order and when I got back to my office, the salad had peppers and onions, there was no extra dressing, and no cookies. Mind you they charge extra for extra dressing so I paid for that and the cookies, waste of money. The salad was pretty terrible, the tomatoes were refrigerated and tasteless and rock hard. A couple of my coworkers also ordered salads and they agreed, never again. If I were reviewing just the salad, 0 stars. read more

I visited BrickFire for the first time on Thursday May 1st and am glad I did! I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered something light. On the menu was a Ham & Cheese sandwich, so that's what I told the young man who took my order. I know it's hard to get excited about a Ham & Cheese sandwich. Right? But the fact that I am leaving a review speaks volumes about the quality of the food. First, the bun was unbelievable! The bread was warm, substantive, and actually tasted good! Not like those boring buns you buy at the deli counter at a grocery store. The ham had a nice, smoked flavor. I've had Ham & Cheese sandwiches at some sub shops that had absolutely NO flavor. To top it all off was the American cheese. My only "complaint" would be that I wish BrickFire offered other options, like Swiss Cheese for example. That's about it.
