I started coming here last year and I loved everything up until recently. Yesterday I ordered a small cheese and mushroom pizza and it was horrible. When I went in to pick up my order one of the chefs were eating while preparing food. Today I ordered shrimp scampi the tomatoes were old and the shrimp was cooked too long. I also got flourless cake, it came in 2 separate containers and come to find out the cake was frozen. The last time I had this it was warm with icecream and whip cream. I will not be coming back. Not sure if it's under new management or the managers are not there. Don't waste your money go to Sogno in Woburn the food is always consistent and the staff are great! read more

Stopped in before the snow for an early dinner on a Sat night. It was busy but there was no wait. I appreciated the complimentary valet parking (tips accepted). They have one of the best birthday clubs around- free entree with their birthday email. I enjoyed a fantastic glass of Nebbiolo and their complimentary bread sticks. I was planning to take home leftovers so I had the delicious truffled eggplant and braised beef ragu. It was excellent and I took home a large portion. Service was friendly and efficient- good pace for the meal. Sturdy carry out containers and a bag made it easy to pack up my leftovers. read more

Had a great dinner Saturday evening with friends around 6:45 PM , with reservations . Our waitress Mary Beth was very nice and she was great. Wine was reasonable at $10 per glass and meals were also reasonable. Very noisy atmosphere , no angel hair , but overall a a solid choice for local Italian food, nice sauces and excellent Tiramisu , Valet parking available, also street parking , plus free entree for your birthday after you sign up in advance . Such a local gem!!! If you're in the area and craving for Italian, this is the place to go. My favorite is eggplant Parmesan, tasted good to go and even better if you have time to sit. Overall a solid Italian restaurant and doesn't break the bank. Only four dishes were to get excited over, the rest were just fine. The truffle eggplant, the special crab cake, chicken Marsala and the chicken gnocchi fra diavlo were the great dishes. Seafood fra diavlo, calamari appetizer, clams and linguine, and shrimp scampi were fine. Not bad but nothing to rave about. The gnocchi were perfect, light and soft with the spicy fra diavlo. The toasted garlic bread was a great vessel to scoop up the rest of the sauce. I've read they have fresh pasta, but outside of the gnocchi everything was boxed pasta. Services was fine. It was nice to see an open kitchen, if you are unsure with what you want, you can see what's at the pass. read more

This place has a warm family restaurant feel. It reminds me of a great neighborhood Italian joint. The warm sliced flatbread with olive oil and parm cheese was divine with the marinara for dipping. It was a great start to the meal. My daughter got the spaghetti with meatballs and I got the Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle. Both were generous portions, which allowed for take-home containers. Both were steaming hot and hit the spot on a cold winter night! Highly recommend if you don't want to make the trip to the North End! read more

I was here for an early Sunday dinner after not being here for a while. The manager was polite and friendly. There was no wait because the restaurant was not at all crowded. The service was good, but not efficient and not overly friendly. I had the linguine and meatballs- always a favorite for me. This meal was hugely disappointing. It was not warm enough for starters. The sauce for the linguine was plain, thin,uninteresting tomato sauce, without seasoning. Any grated cheese offered came unexpectedly in a shaker. The meatballs were plentiful, but they were hard, chewy and lacked flavor. The garlic bread was cold hard and did not have any obvious garlic spread. Immediately walking in, it was like I was transformed into an Italian Grandma's Home! It felt homey, it was nicely decorated, and the delicious smells of bread and pasta filled the air. I also really appreciated the open kitchen concept where I could see the kitchen staff preparing foods and using the brick oven to make pizzas. One of the highlights is the complimentary cheese bread with marinara sauce. And it didn't matter if I ate all the bread and crumbs because the staff offered me another basket! I also highly recommend the truffled eggplant. It was perfectly fried eggplant layered in with mozzarella cheese, topped with burrata, basil, and truffle oil. And for my entree was a classic Chicken Marsala. I substituted the penne for tagliatelle for a few extra dollars. It was a great decisions, the pasta is fresh and homemade, I loved it. It was my first time here and it certainly won't be my last. I came here on a Tuesday night with my girlfriends. It was great that we could make a reservation and there was ample parking with a parking lot. The staff were so attentive and my host was amazing! really great spot for italian food in this area! it was busy even for a monday night, but service was quick and we were seated fast. the complimentary flatbread was so delicious, I would've happily paid for it as a dish. calamari had generous portion size. the braised beef ragu had great flavor but the noodles were slightly overcooked - if they were more al dente I think it would've been a 5/5 dish. chicken marsala was pretty much as expected. there is a parking lot which was pretty full but also street parking as well. read more

I just ordered over $100 worth of food I asked for lemons as I got calamari & pasta with clams they gave me one slice & I asked for salt and pepper she gave me ONE slice. I asked for sauce for the kids chicken strip meal she said they don't have bbq so I said okay can we get ranch she said it costs extra for ranch? So dry chicken tenders if you want ANY sauce you have to pay extra? I thought chicken strips always come with at least ONE SAUCE? no lemons for calamari & seafood pasta- spent over $100. As you know, this is one of my all-time favorite places to celebrate my birthday. ( free Birthday meal) Even recently changed my diet from vegan to pescatarian which nobody knows what that means. So I'm still having to explain myself and what I eat and don't eat. I thought explaining to my waiter, no dairy no meat, only seafood, fruits and veggies. Would get the point across. Fell on deaf ears. This waiter was so rude. He barked at me!! Long story short, I told the Manager Jennifer, that this was the worst experience I've ever had here. They're like known for filling their glasses of water without having to say anything. The waiter disappeared several times I asked two other wait staff and the manager to assist with our needs. My rude waiter was swarming around the table, trying to intimidate me of what I'm gonna say to the Manager. He must be outside his mind. I told the Manager I don't want him anywhere near me. Please make him go away. Then he started singing. I tried to get video of him to put online, but that didn't work out . Thank you Jennifer and the other waitress for excellent service. The best part of my meal was meeting the owner's dad. So cute! I told him his face should be on the sauce. I think my waiter needs to read " How to make friends, and influence people" and to follow the golden rule. I love Italian food and Fiorellas did a pretty good job at satisfying me. Prices are a bit inconsistent IMO but overall reasonable, and the food was great in some instances and just good in others. Loved the bread they brought out at the beginning specifically. Took off one star because we were seated about 20 minutes past our reservation time even though there were open tables of our group size that remained empty even after we sat down. I know this is SUPER anecdotal because I am sure this was due sections that the staff were serving in, but I had let the hostess know that I was dining with someone with a back injury who could not stand for very long so we had to go through this awkward process of getting a chair pulled up to the bar area to wait for 20 mins. I came to Fiorella's with a group of friends for a Friday night dinner and catch up. I'm grateful that we made a reservation as the restaurant was absolutely packed. Amongst our party, we ordered the sausage and broccolini flatbread and signature meatballs to share. For entrees, we got the wild mushroom tagliatelle, penne allá vodka, braised beef ragu, and the seafood carbonara special. We all thought the food was very tasty and we felt like the dishes were very reasonably priced. I liked my meal (wild mushroom tagliatelle) so much that I asked for a box to bring home the last bit of my unfinished pasta. We shared an order of tiramisu as well which was absolutely delicious. I will say that the best part of my experience at Fiorella's, however, was the service. Our server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She was able to provide insightful recommendations for wine and food. I will definitely be back in the future! read more

I used to bring my family to this place often, mostly for birthdays. The last time I came (last year) I ordered Eggplant Parmesan. It was not good. Mostly fried breadcrums. Couldn't find the eggplant. This year we had 10 of us and I order the cheicken parmesan. It was about the size of my palm and super thick. It tasted (and looked) like frozen chicken. Not good. Very disappointing. My daughter had the same and didn't think it was good either. The service is always great and the folks are nice but I think we are done going there. read more

If you're thinking about ordering takeout on a weekend night--don't. They clearly can't handle the volume. I placed an order, was given a pickup time, and when I arrived, they had no idea where my order was. No apology, no real explanation--just a lot of confusion and waiting around. I ended up waiting well over 30 minutes past the promised time, watching other people come and go, while I stood there wondering if I'd ever get my food. When it finally came out, it was barely warm, and the entire experience just left a bad taste in my mouth (and not because of the food). *Extremely disappointing* I have been going to this location for years. Either I'm boring or their bolognese is so good that I always order it. Tonight however, the pasta tasted extremely starchy, as though it had been mixed up with the sauce and left on the stove to stay warm. I know this is the case because the dishes came out of the kitchen so quickly--usually a good thing, but pasta should be freshly made, then the sauce should be added. I guess I don't have a favorite anymore. Also, when I asked for Parmesan, I was given a cold shaker of (dehydrated?) cheese. Customers used to be offered freshly grated Parmesan--or am I crazy? Also, the bartender was our waiter, during a busy time of night. That wasn't fair to him. read more

I came here on a Friday evening for a double date. I was glad we made a reservation because the restaurant was busy with a line of people waiting to be seated. We decided to split the signature meatballs and sausage & broccolini flatbread for the table. They were a tasty appetizer, especially the flatbread. Our waitress was super helpful and was able to explain the dishes in-depth and provide insightful recommendations for both food and drinks. I decided to go with the special of the night, the seafood carbonara. The portion size was large and the food itself was really good. I would go back to try out their seafood fra diavolo, which is usually my go-to dish. FOOD: 8/10 SERVICE: 8.5/10 RECOMMENDATION: Order the sausage & broccolini flatbread. A great Italian comfort food fix. Been here twice now and will definitely go again! After you order, the waiter will give free garlic breadsticks and their delicious signature marinara. Already off to a great start. For apps, we got the calamari and arancini. I love the calamari - perfectly breaded, seasoned, and cooked well. The arancini isn't my favorite since it's a ginormous ball of rice with cheese in the middle (I prefer small ones) but my boyfriend loved it since it was also smothered in sauce. As for entrees, we've had the shrimp scampi, chicken parm, fusilli bolognese, and fruitti de mare. We liked all of them except for the fusilli - it just lacked depth and the pasta was over cooked (that day). Definitely try this place if you haven't yet! read more

Three of us had lunch on a busy Saturday and the food was excellent. Had the fig and herb salmon and the flavour was well balanced. Portion size was not absurdly large but still generous - so didn't feel like they skimped on quality just to give you a huge portion. Fiorella's is always reliable. I find that their food is delicious and consistent. Most recently, I ordered the baked gnocchi. The gnocchi were very light and held the tomato sauce very well. I will say that the tomato sauce has a very potent garlic taste. I like garlic but for those who don't, you may not enjoy this. Solid family choice. I had been here a couple of times in the past after dropping kids off at activities (nice sewing school for kids next door) but I just sat at the bar and ordered an app. This time we took the family pivoting from another place on New Year's Eve. I ordered the arancini and the arugula salad. Wife got something seafoody and the kids got kids pizzas. I enjoyed my arancini though it would've been nice to have two on the plate for $12 (suggestion: bump price to 15 for two). The kids pizza was excellent for 9 each (was larger than a personal size and good quality). The bread is delicious. My wife was not thrilled with her dish (clams were not good). But that could've been a bad batch. Service was excellent. Suburban places CLEAR OUT after 730 on new years. Wow haha. The kids puzzles were more complex and interesting than the ones given elsewhere. Though I'm told it doesn't change so next time it's a moot point. I will try to use as many adjectives as possible to describe my meal and experience. Food was hot, fresh, flavorful, and certainly not overly heavy or rich. All in all it was delicious. Delicious. I also love how the chefs are the first thing you see when you walk in. They cook in front of all of the diners and you can smell how amazing everything is. Our family has become deep regulars here. Exclusively, almost. Owners and staff are hyper friendly and attentive. Food is authentic southern Italian, with other basic staples which make the menu approachable. The place itself is nice, not too fancy, but also not too casual. The food is great, not amazing, and the portions are huge. I will be back, not by choice, but thats not to say I wouldn't be back if I had the choice LOL. Besides going to Italy, Fiorella has always been our go to for authentic Italian food. However, the food has really gone downhill. Tonight, we gave it one final chance by ordering the Chicken Parmigiana. The linguine pasta was very bland and did not taste fresh at all. It actually tasted worse than some of the store brand pastas. The soggy pasta and tasteless tomato sauce almost made the dish inedible. Additionally, the chicken was overcooked, dry and rubbery. The thinly sliced piece of cheese completely melted and was barely visible. We had so much hope, but were ultimately disappointed. read more
