I called the restaurant twice, waiting 10 minutes between each call, and no answer each time. I shrugged it off and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they're just busy, so I decided to go and order in person. I drove to the restaurant and parking was a complete nightmare. I realize driving and parking in Natick center can be tricky, but this was one of the tightest parking lots I've ever encountered in my life. Somehow I squeezed into a spot and walked in. They have a designated door for takeout only. I walked up to the counter and nobody was there, I made eye contact with two staff members and they didn't say anything which I found strange. Regardless, a few minutes later someone came by, and asked me my name for my order. I let the staff member know I actually didn't place my order yet and asked if I could see a menu. He sighed loudly and handed me a menu. At this point, I completely lost interest, but I was so hungry, on a time crunch, and spent so much effort parking my car in that horrible parking lot that I decided to see it through. $15 and 25 minutes later, I received a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant (which came with a side of home fries). Fine, but after the hassle, this food needs to win me over. Unfortunately, one bite and I was so disappointed. Dunkin breakfast sandwiches are leagues ahead of Eli's, and that is saying a lot. The croissant was super dry, the egg had no salt/pepper, and the cheese was tasteless. The bacon was carrying the whole sandwich and still nothing. Alright, one last chance to the home fries... and sheer disappointment once again. No seasoning, no crisp on the outside. 2 stars, it was edible.

It's simple and classic, but packed with flavor. 4. The chicken burger, on the other hand, was disappointing. The chicken was quite dry, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I think something like pickled onions or another acidic topping could help bring some balance and moisture to the sandwich. 5. We also tried the omelet, which was very good, especially with the goat cheese. What really made the experience special was that the staff noticed we were celebrating a graduation and surprised us with complimentary donuts. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal.

Charming. Then, while waiting on my order, I made the mistake of taking a video of the (admittedly cute) interior -- 100-year-old diner car, hard not to want a keepsake -- and got yelled at for filming, with a pointed accusation that my brother outside was "also filming," said like it was a crime. Meanwhile this place has an active social media presence built on customers doing exactly that. You can't crowdsource your Instagram content and then treat a phone camera like a weapon. Oh, and the hot dog itself: $5 for a boiled dog on white bread, no toasting, no char, nothing. A sad little snack to cap off a genuinely unpleasant interaction. The building has real history. If you're coming with family, the French toast and pancakes are huge and definitely big enough to share. One thing we really appreciate is the atmosphere. Even with a full dining room, it's comfortable enough to have a conversation without having to yell across the table. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back year after year. Their menu is loaded with the ethnic delights you'll find in any NY Style Deli - Reuben and Rachel sandwiches, Hot Pastrami, Bagels and Lox, Whitefish Salad, Potato Latkes, Matzoh Ball Soup, Herring, Kishka, Challah French Toast, and yes........... Noodle Kugel. We had checked out their deep menu the day before and knew what we wanted - a Whitefish & Lox Platter ($25) with a choice of Bagel, a choice of cream cheese served with lettuce, onions and tomatoes, and cucumbers. We added an extra bagel for $1.75. Now, I have to tell you that we were incredulous when this huge platter of very reasonably priced platter of food was delivered to our table. I bet there was between a third and a half pound of lox, plenty of vegetable cream cheese, a ramekin of whitefish salad, and a garden of lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced purple onions, and cucumber slices. The bagels were pretty big and were everything you want in a bagel -nice and chewy/crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We each had one half of our respective bagels with cream cheese, lox, and onions, and the other half with whitefish, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. One customer service caught my eye immediately -those big tomato slices had been carefully trimmed to take out the core. That drives me batshit crazy when a restaurant apathetically doesn't do that. Staying on the customer service theme, our server was very attentive, with plenty of checkbacks and coffee refills. We packed up our leftovers and finished them off the next day. So that fish yielded us four servings. I promise you this....... The next time we are looking for breakfast between Boston and Worcester... I know where we'll end up. We might even get some Kugel at Kugel!

After eating both halves, I had no appetite left for the fries, but for one single fry. The restaurant was filled with regulars. When I left, the waiting area was overpacked with customers waiting to be seated.

If I was a local I'd be a regular. I've probably gone 10-15 times in two years, and other than my family I've brought two groups of friends. It remains the best greasy spoon diner I've ever been to with respect to price and amount of food, and everybody I've been with agrees. There have been times after forcing myself to finish my overflowing plate in the morning that I'm destroyed for the rest of the day. The state should hire these folks to cook for illegals rather than overpaying with my tax dollars for whatever they've been eating. read more

I go to Lloyd's because I like the people and I LOVE the Blueberry Pancakes and the amazing sausages. This morning I had one blueberry pancake , well done , no butter or syrup and side sausage.
