My Bf & I are locals in Framingham. We decided to give it another chance. It was empty yet we were stuck waiting for someone to even seat us... We figured ok at least the waitress would be attentive. She was NOT at all. Unfortunately poor service again! We'll NEVER go back! Our friends who are from the area, SAME thing waitresses disappearing & even rude, so odd!! Stopped by for breakfast after lab work 1 minute down the street and I was the only one there for the first few minutes. The server had an attitude, wasn't easy to hear, (very soft voice), and came over to check on me after my omelette was done and half my English Muffin! When I was deciding on what to tip (I paid cash) he was on me like flies on a horse! I live close by and drive by a lot and it's always dead in the parking lot! Fantastic IHOP!! My parents and I came here for breakfast yesterday and we had such a good time. The food is reasonably priced and you get great value. Plus it's DELICIOUS!! Honestly our expectations weren't high given the Yelp rating but ended up being great. The portions are generous and food didn't disappoint. Prices are as expected. It was very busy when we went but still got served and our food fairly quickly. Learned over easy has raw egg white at IHOP and over medium would have egg white fully cooked with yolk runny. Returned about a month later. Felt a little more of what was anticipated the first time but portions still good. The steak was mildly warm and gravy cold. I had some very high expectations walking into this IHOP... and unfortunately I can't say that they were met. Picture this. You are pregaming the Minions movie and decide to splurge on having breakfast from the Minion Menu to get in the right mindset. I was expecting the food to be lip smackingly good, but it was only mediocre at best. The Ba Ba Banana pancakes were okay - I personally was not a huge fan of the pudding and sprinkles and the pancake itself was on the dry side. The Minion Mango OJ Splasher was also a bit of a letdown. It tasted literally just like orange juice with a smattering of blueberries. The real star of the show were the Cinna-minions. The glaze paired well with the cinnamon sugar and each bite was truly despicably delicious. Although the meal itself was average and I don't think I will be ordering from the Minion menu again, the Minion theme made this a positive experience for me. I left this IHOP feeling hyped as ever to watch the Minions movie and would recommend this experience for any of the other Minion lovers out there. read more

I brought the leftovers home and while eating, there was a piece of plastic. Huge turn off but mistakes happen. This is kind of funny. Please make sure you read the whole review. I used to hate going to IHOP. I would go because the kids wanted to. But there was always a huge wait, and the lobby was a madhouse...the restaurant was loudly packed with people, and service not so great. Today? 50% occupancy, super clean, staff able to handle their tables, and service was top notch. It says the menu is limited, but I didn't think so. There is a lot on this menu. I wouldn't have even noticed if they didn't say something. No complaints. [Hey - they gave us one menu that was a happy hour menu from 2pm to 10pm full of about 12 different entree for $5 each. Nothing fancy, but had all the basics-- breakfast sandwich, hamburger, etc. Great deal...but it was only 1pm when we were there.] We went today as a family, all 7 of us, and although the bill was around $100, we all thoroughly enjoyed it, including me. To be seated quickly without fighting through the lobby, and separate from other parties in the restaurant, and an attentive staff....I would already pay a premium price for that...and then to add that the food looked and tasted great, It was worth it for today. My daughter had some sort of combo meal. Way too much for an 11 year old, but we really wanted to see how things are returning. So this combo, about $11, had a pile of scrambled eggs, a wallet size helping of hash browns, about six half a deck of cards slices of fried ham, and a separate plate with three cookies and cream pancakes with whipped cream on top and a bunch of broken cookies all over it. My daughter ate all of the ham and about 3/4 of the pancake creation. We brought home most of the hash browns and eggs that she didn't eat much of, but looked very good. My daughter loves her ham, and she thought this plate of ham was a My wife had the turkey club sandwich which was perfectly grilled bread and stacked with slices of real turkey, lettuce, bacon, tomato, and mayo, with a side of hot golden fries (not crinkle cut). Do they actually roast turkeys in the kitchen for this?! It was a great sandwich and she could only eat about 3/4, and brought the rest home. I had the Poblano Pepper Omelette. It came with a side of 3 pancakes, which I didn't touch because the omelette was so big. Honestly, this thing is phenomenal. I feel silly saying that about IHOP, but it was excellent. It had peppers, onions, I think olives and some mushrooms, with cheese, and some sort of cheese sauce over the top. Here's what made this thing memorable from your ordinary southwest omelette -- it was covered in shreds of succulent beef. I don't know what the hell kind of beef it was, roast beef (?), but somebody knows what they are doing back there. It was shredded, so tender, and I am guessing was marinated in something. I don't know how to cook, but I know how to eat, and it makes me cry to think about how good it was, and I hope the cooks know how much they made my day with this! Kudos to today's kitchen staff! Great job! Keep in mind drinks run the bill up about $3 per person. If we had water instead of soda, and didn't order mozzarella sticks, the bill would have been $30 less. read more

No staff. They can not handle lots of customers at once. Can't get tables cleaned fast enough to keep up with those coming in. Long long waits for a table. Online orders will say that they will be ready in 20 minutes but the wait times are actually an hour or more. Go elsewhere. There are far better breakfast places in the city. read more

Is the soup half empty or half full? This was how the soup brought to us from the kitchen by our lousy and unattended waiter before we touch it. We couldn't believe it and ask for a manager. The manager confirmed that how it is served. Are you F***king kidding me? It looks someone just ate through it. We won't dare to eat it and asked to a salad instead. The salad was equally bad. Rotten and yellow leaves. Main courses was worst. We ordered turkey dinner. You can tell it's microwaved and it's over-heated. It's dried and chewy. The mashed potato was on its way to be bad. It smelled funny. At that point, we were too scared to ask for exchange. Who knows if they would think we are being difficult and do something to our food. We just paid the bill + tips and left. Not very clean but, hey, its the regular IHOP greasy spoon it always has been. My simple breakfast for lunch made me happy. I'm always happy with hash browns and eggs... seriously I could eat that every day all day anyway. My husband had a mess of an omelet stuffed with everything but the kitchen sink, and he was happy. Service was ok, what you expect from an IHOP. People are eager to work and serve and just so appreciative that you came it. I was sitting by the window with a broken heart watching the vacant Volturno Framingham, another one of the Covid victims. We have been coming to this iHop every weekend since it's opening. Been a family ritual to start the weekend with some iHop. Over the years the quality of service continues to deteriorate and the staff becoming rude / unprofessional. Despite low traffic, wait and service times are high. Orders are wrong many times and it's always your fault (despite our order not changing over the years). No apology. Simply the response "yeah we are busy and it will take time to get you what you want". You will be lucky if only the long timer servers are waiting your tables. I enjoy breakfast at the IHOP in Framingham, Massachusetts, it is conveniently located when I stop there to shop at The Natick Mall which is one of the largest shopping centers in New England and should have a review all by itself, you can test drive a Tesla Car at the Natick Mall for example or buy a very fabulous piece of jewelry, a fine grand piano, or a simple piece of Double Bubble Gum, whatever you wish, but back to IHOP, with so much local competition and restaurants it is imperative to keep up a good standard and they do, everything I have ever ordered has been on par with their other chains. The service has been excellent. We especially enjoy their new crepes and of course, their pancakes are awesome. I like the hash browns and they always manage to serve whatever eggs you ordered just right be it over easy, scrambled, or sunny side up. Everyone at our table orders their eggs a different way and they manage to bring it all to the table perfectly each time! Juice, drinks, coffee, and breakfasts. I've never had an issue. As soon as you walk in the door of this brand-new work of genius across the street from Framingham State University, they are a study in mediocrity. Prom night in Ashland I guess. Anyway the mocha hot chocolate was attractive and pretty good at the outset hot and tasty and then the last sip so wasn't great, but it showed up, before my meal, tho I ordered it last. I'm still waiting for my meal well after I finished with the mocha. And no water until I ask for it. On a night when the Celtics lose a heartbreaker in Washington, why can't yelp spellcheck? Anyway, the eggs were good, hashbrowns were weird and tasteless, the turkey bacon was salty and not great, the toast was small and there was no butter to be found. Have been to this location several times now with my father who loves IHOP. Since this is a chain I don't think it's worth commenting on the food. It is like every IHOP. Instead I will comment on the things affected by the staff at this location such as cleanliness, friendliness, and consistency. The place always seems very clean when I go including the bathrooms. I rarely have to wait even when it is super busy there. The staff is friendly enough. Not as nice as some more local spots but I don't go to IHOP for the service. The food is fine. I do have trouble getting my hash browns done the way I like even when it's slow. Bacon isn't always done right but their specialty items come out the way they should if not overly sweet. read more

This place is operating in an absolutely sub-standard level when it comes to customer service. They let the phone ring for minutes and don't even pick up at times. I've heard waitresses say "sorry" repeatedly for leaving customers unattended for long periods of time. I even walked out one time after they sat me down and no one came over after 10 minutes. The waitresses were checking their phones and gossiping in the back. Not cool and I'm Not going back. The food has been decent so I have no complaint there. You should fire your entire staff, starting with your manager, close down, hire a caring staff, have them train in Northborough with a real staff and professional IHOP, then re-open, and then Maybe..
