Love it always. Get the southwest steak salad ALWAYS so great and consistent. Will be back time and time! Great place for family lunch or coworkers or a date!

Went here for lunch and overall had a great experience. I went with my mom and boyfriend, and everyone was able to find a meal they enjoyed. Both of them felt their fries were hard and cold, so they didn't seem very fresh. However, they both really enjoyed their burgers. My salad was fresh and tasted really good. The service wasn't bad, but the place was busy, so at times it felt difficult to get our waiter's attention. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and would come back again to try other items on the menu. I'd say the average plate is around $20, and drinks are about $15-20.

Went here during Christmas vacation break mid week. Hostess advised us it was a 25 minute wait. We were hungry and willing to wait. Glad we did because we only waited 10-15 mins. We were seated. Ordered drinks, apps and meal. I ordered a seasonal sangria and it was delicious. Also ordered a burger with blue cheese, no bacon. I can't recall the name. It was decent. I wouldn't order it again but would definitely go back to this location. I frequent the one in Boston more. For ambiance it's a loud, busy bar. For the holiday season, they didn't have a decorated Christmas tree up. Also had a fireplace that some patrons were sitting in front of. I thought that was cool and I'm sure they were toasty.

    No cheese nacho

Nachos came with barely any cheese. Flavor good on the guac and fried pickles were good. but I cannot believe it was 23 dollars for these nachos. Added chicken and guac. Do better.

My friend and I stopped by Tuesday evening to grab a drink and some apps at the bar. It was packed - this was my second time here, and it was just as packed the first time. The bar has a fun atmosphere to it, seems great for game nights. Luckily we only had to wait 5-10 minutes for some seats to open and the bartender greeted us pretty quickly despite being so busy. To drink, my friend ordered an espresso martini, and I got a strawberry marg. We both liked our drinks, and I appreciated that the bartender asked what kind of rim I wanted! To eat, we shared the guacamole, buffalo wings, and chicken dumplings. I liked the guacamole - nothing memorable but still good. I think my favorite of the trio was the buffalo wings. They were cooked well and had a good flavor, albeit not super spicy. The chicken dumplings were ok, but just ok. I liked the dipping sauce and the texture of the dumpling was nice, but the chicken was just a bit too dry, so I found myself dousing it in sauce to give it some moisture and flavor. I think it's a good spot to go with friends or family for a lively evening. The food isn't anything worth going out of the way for, but I liked my drink and I enjoyed the service I received! I would go back again if in the area.

    Korean fried chicken sandwich

Our server was super quick and attentive which was great during a Thursday night after-work rush. I got the strawberry hugo spritz which was refreshing but not the best I've ever had. I also ordered the Korean chicken sandwich which had a solid mix of flavors and I couldn't put it down! (partially because it was a bit messy). The chicken was coated in a sweet and spicy sauce and paired with pickles and some type of (cabbage?) slaw. They had a diverse menu and good drink selections. I enjoyed my experience and will likely return to another location!

First time here after change from John Harvards. The inside is super loud, dark and open. Large TVs everywhere and the same big bar. The hostess stand was a little chaotic. No clear way to form line and people came in after us were seated first. We were seated in a large booth which was nice. Fun kids menu for them to color. Service was friendly and quick. The food was okay but nothing really stood out. Although happy to see tots on the menu! The nachos weren't loaded with much but I appreciate the toppings being spread out and not one blob on the top. Plenty of parking although can get crazy with shoppers world Marshalls side. Small dedicate parking lot on backside.

This is my chicken bacon ranch sandwich with sweet potato fries, all cooked perfectly.

A great dinner experience, 12 old guys all arriving separately. Food and drinks were all nicely receding a timely manner. Nice open setting with plenty of big screen TV's. Our waitress Asia handled everything perfectly, right down to paying, we all pooled our share and one guy had the rewards program and she handled everything nicely.

    Fishy/frozen tasting fish tacos

This kind of place is my inflation nightnare ... no way are two people getting out of a lunch here without spending $100. The food is average ... the atmosphere is great. Service is hit or miss. Bottom line ... if you are near a mall, or shopping plaza, you'll see a Tavern on the Square. It's corporate ... generic ... but consistently average and expensive. We had the warm pretzel/cheese appetizer. Salty, addictive and carb-loaded. It's really good and we had no problem finishing 4 large pretzel sticks. However, for $12, not sure this isn't something you couldn't get for $4 at your local grocery store. I had the fish tacos, which tasted way too fishy and frozen. They were covered in all kinds of salsas and sauces but there is no mistaking the fishy taste of frozen and thawed fish. Skip this dish. My dining partners had the kale salad, which was a giant plate of kale with minimal other things. It was basically 1 - 1 1/2 kale bunches chopped up with a couple of tomatoes sprinkled in. For almost $20. The burger was $20 and average, at best. A tad undercooked ... very greasy ... and basically exactly what you'd get at an Applebees or TGIFridays. The $12 side caesar salad was overdressed and underwhelming. The beer selection is good but you will pay dearly for it. A 13 ounce cradt beer was $12 - $13. Owch. A mixed drink will set you back $15 - $16 and even the cheapest wine is $12. The atmospherere is the best part of the restaurant. It feels like California with lots of windows and outdoor seating. Unlike the previous brewery/restaurant in this space, which felt dim and cold ... the bright and airy vibe here is awesome and maybe worth the high cost of admission for average food. Our server did what he needed, with no extra or personality.

I like this place. We only had appetizers and the Tots, mushroom ricotta pizza, chicken crispers, pretzel and nachos. The chicken crispers were so good we got another order and everything was great save for the nachos. I come to Framingham a lot for work so I will definitely be back.

The ambiance was cool and casual. Food was great -exactly as we ordered. We ordered Chicken avocado club sandwiches w/ homemade chips. Service was good.

    Baked Tortellini Short rib Bolognese

I'm a big fan of Tavern in the Square. I've been many times since they opened in the former John Harvard's location. This place has the best "fun" vibe of any location in the Framingham area. The bar area is large and welcoming with a lot of T.V's making it a great place to watch a sporting event. And they take that seriously and will work to find a sporting event on T.V. If you ask. I would say that they take it as a challenge to find the event which I wholeheartedly endorse. I often feel like asking at other places is an annoyance but that is definitely not the case here. Also, they serve food late every night of the week which I appreciate. I'd say it's got to be the latest kitchen closing time of any restaurant in Framingham and I've never seen them close earlier than listed. As for service, I generally have found it to be excellent with a few exceptions. The rare times I had an issue is was with attentiveness of a few of the bartenders with them disappearing for a bit. I'm generally not a big fan of chains but like the near by Burton's, TITS is a solid restaurant with good consistency in the quality of the food. One of my favorite dishes is the Baked Tortellini Bolognese. It's made with short ribs and sausage and was surprisingly excellent. I say surprisingly because this isn't the type of dish you normally see at this type of restaurant because of the time it takes to make. While I don't know how they execute I can tell you it's delicious every time and does not taste like it's processed or premade well in advance. There are at times a bit of variation in the execution as you'll see in the two pictures I included which are separated by several months. Not too much variation but a bit and that is expected at a restaurant like this. That said, the flavor has been excellent always. I've also had the Tuscan chicken and the pizza which were both solid. I also like the Mac & Cheese which I add crispy chicken and bacon to. It's a large portion so you're likely to be taking some home which I always do. This is a reliable, go to restaurant that won't disappoint.

I went there before a movie to grab some beers and my friend got a sangria. The food was amazing and the service was awesome. We sat at the bar our bartender was quick and friendly. He kinda look Milo like from Atlantis. I love the high ceilings and they had a lot of seating. I wish they did.

We walked into a casual, modern space with colorful murals and a counter-service setup that made it clear this was a quick-stop spot rather than a sit-down restaurant. The room had a lively, energetic feel with a steady flow of customers coming in for takeout and a few tables occupied by diners settling in for a quick meal. The order process was straightforward, and the menu was focused enough that deciding what to get did not take long. The sliders are the highlight, featuring crispy, juicy chicken topped with kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce on a soft bun. We ordered a few and found the tenders having a crunchy coating while staying moist inside, and the different spice levels made it easy to order something that matched our heat tolerance. Even the mild options were well seasoned, so we did not have to go spicy to enjoy the flavor. The seasoned fries paired well with the chicken, and the combo meals were filling enough to leave satisfied. While the menu is not very large, it covers the essentials well and makes ordering straightforward whether it is a first visit or a stop for a quick meal. The spice levels are clearly labeled, and starting with Lite Mild or Mild is a safe option before working your way up. Service was generally efficient, though food is cooked fresh to order, so waits could be a little longer during lunch, dinner, or weekend rushes. The team handled the steady flow with efficiency, and the portions were generous for the price. The food came out hot and well assembled, and the consistency across the order made it easy to know what to expect. The chicken was usually cooked well, and the combination of crispy coating, juicy interior, and balanced heat made for a satisfying meal. Dave's Hot Chicken is not trying to reinvent fried chicken, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The crispy chicken, customizable heat, and satisfying portions make it a solid spot when you are craving Nashville-style hot chicken, even if there are other places that offer a wider menu.

Dave's is a lot like Raising Cane's, but with the ability to customize the spice level of the chicken. I opted for Dave's #3 ($13.99) so I could try both a slider and a solo tender. The pieces of chicken were very good. They had a nice exterior crisp covered in a flavorful heat, with a juicy, tender, pull apart inside. While I preferred the sandwich, it definitely could have used more slaw. As far as portions...for me, two sliders is likely too much, but I think I'd be unsatisfied with one, so the #3 was a good option. Similar to Cane's, the fries are crinkle cut. I prefer the dusting of seasoning on the Dave's fries, as I find Cane's to be overly salty. I do wish they had more options for sides...for instance, a nice refreshing cucumber salad, potato salad, cold bean salad, etc. would be great with that chicken. I happily dipped my extra tender and fries in the Dave's side sauce...no need for ketchup, though they do offer it. Interestingly, a new Raising Cane's is scheduled to open right around the corner from Dave's...bring on the chicken wars...I'm rooting for you Dave!
