Just to make sure the food that I ordered was OK the manager came over and asked just to make sure, appreciate that. The food came out perfectly as ordered without having anything to be sent back, as usually it needs to be sent back for one reason or another. My gas and I appreciate the amazing customer service, the tentativeness, the food that tasted better than what the menu you read and just overall ambience nice experience without being rushed. I'm here to do everyone visiting Burton's for weekend brunch a huge favor: Do NOT get the chicken sandwich. I'm sorry, Burton's, but someone should be embarrassed to charge $18 for this. My husband spent a dollar more and got the brunch burger which I sampled and it was head and shoulders above this sad little chicken sandwich that had very little flavor and should be taken off the menu IMO. It looks like a sandwich you would get from Panera, not a place like this. I want to give our bartender credit for the hard work she was doing attending to surrounding tables and bar patrons by herself. I also will give credit to the restaurant for the amazing truffle Parmesan fries and my yummy decaf espresso martini. But for the love of Pete -- stay away from this pathetic, tasteless and overpriced grilled chix sandwich that sounded great on the menu but failed miserably IRL. We came here for a work dinner and the place was packed for a Tuesday. I ordered the pomegranate martini to test out and we were told about ehe general two cauliflower and though - why not? Talk about flavor and perfect cook on cauliflower. I could've had this for my meal. We also ordered the calamari and the sauce was on another level. I could've drank it with a straw. Made a reservation for Sunday brunch and noted it was celebrating a birthday. They don't do anything special for you so don't bother mentioning it in your reservation. But the hosts gave a sincere & cheery, " happy birthday!" All of the food was fresh & tasty. Requested a medium rare burger but it was more medium. It seemed that the main dishes took a little bit longer than it should have because the restaurant wasn't that packed, we had finished our app and were still waiting, and some of the food was warming light warm, but all tasted good. Had dinner here tonight with a friend, we thought we'd give it another shot. Wow. This place has really gone downhill -- the food was awful. No flavor whatsoever. I had to send mine back, I ordered the mushroom chicken ravioli and it was inedible. Another woman at the bar a few seats down said the same thing about her dish. My friend got the braised short ribs and ate them even though they were dry and overcooked, because he was hungry. The spinach & artichoke dip was served cold. A couple stalls in the bathroom were out of TP. The only highlight of the meal was the bartender, she was a pro and the drinks were good. But we're going to find another spot, we won't be returning. Hope they can hire a chef who actually knows how to cook -- because whoever prepared our meals definitely did not. read more

My friend and I stopped in Burtons on a girls trip, and this stop did not disappoint. As soon as we arrived, the wait was over 30mins, out the door. That's when you know you found a good spot. It looked beautiful inside as well. We chose to eat outside in their covered patio- no wait needed! Ordered a Blueberry Hibiscus and espresso martini! The best drinks, my martini was prepared at the table. Nice touch. For dinner, ordered the chicken piccata (sub rotini) THE LEMONY FLAVOR WAS PERFECT. Pasta cooked to perfection. My friend ordered a California chicken sandwich, which she LOVED. Ordered a side of truffle parm fries- PERFECT. All in all, this stop is a must. read more

I've officially confirmed it...Hingham wins hands down when it comes to Burton's chicken and waffles. I was excited to try the same dish at the Framingham location, especially since I'd been raving about it to my mom and it was her first time. Unfortunately, it just didn't deliver. The sausage gravy lacked seasoning and depth. It tasted more like a filler than a feature. And while Hingham gives you four hearty, crispy, flavorful chicken pieces, Framingham only served three underwhelming ones. And let's be honest, if you're only going to give three, they better be amazing. These weren't. The atmosphere and flair were familiar Burton's style, but the food fell flat. Now I have to make the drive to Hingham just to give my mom the full experience she should've had the first time. Final verdict: Hingham is worth the trip even though I live closer to Framingham. We needed a place for a large group for a soccer team dinner while in town for a tournament. Holly took care of us from initial inquiry to the dinner. We were a large group that changed numbers a couple of times and the restaurant staff was ready for us and made table adjustments as needed. Crystal was the server for the table of 20 adults and she was friendly and responsive and super organized! I wish I had the name of the young lady who took care of the boys because she was a saint! Everyone loved their food, even the picky kids and foodie adults. The parents kept commenting how amazing it was that I found a place to accommodate 36 people AND the food was delicious! Have been to a few other locations and was excited to try this one and their new brunch menu... The Framingham location was great! Easy to get to, decent parking lot, had a little outside dining area, and nice atmosphere inside. I did in fact go for brunch on a Saturday and wasn't sure how busy it would be so I made a reservation. We went at 11:30 and when I arrived it was pretty empty, so a little early for the crowd..but as time went on and by the time we were finishing up, it was getting busy. Our server was friendly and attentive - but gave us time and space too. We hadn't seen each other in a long time so we had a lot to catch up on, so he gave us plenty of time to enjoy our drinks before ordering and checking in as we were ready to order... and gave great recommendations/opinions on our questions. The brunch menu was great! It has a really good mix of breakfast and lunch with some new items and other-regular menu items. For drinks, I tried the derby street coffee. (Was also looking at the spiked cold brew). It was delish. Came hot in a cute glass with a little whip! Not too sweet or boozey but had enough of a "kick". For food, we had truffle and goat cheese frittata and the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles - OH MY GOODNESS, delicious is an understatement. The flavors were incredible. The waffles were a good size, fluffy, with a light crispness. One on top and one on the bottom. In the middle was a good sized serving of moist fried chicken and SAUSAGE GRAVY! When reading menu, I wasn't sure how that would be all together, but I like sausage gravy, chicken, and waffles, and figured they wouldn't make a bad mix. On the top waffle was some honey butter that added a nice touch.. and the syrup came on the side. It was sweet but not too sweet - I think the sausage gravy and chicken balanced out the sweetness nicely. You got a side with it too - I stuck w the hashbrowns which are the shredded kind. Cooked well, mix of soft and crispy. I meant to take a picture but I dug right in - sorry, not sorry. Point is, it was delicious and I will DEF get it again and recommend. I also can't wait to try the short rib hash. So yeah - Burtons crushed the brunch. Speaking for experience at other locations, lunch and dinner is just as good. Highly recommend! read more

For a chain, Burton's feels more like a stand-alone restaurant. The food is good, mostly made from scratch, and the service is always friendly and efficient. The issue is value. Even with inflation, tariffs and meat prices way up- one shouldn't have to spend $50 for a rib eye, $40 for crab cakes, and $11 for soup, for example. Then there is the so-called "Bread Service" which is a fancy way of saying bread isn't included. Kind of adding insult to injury. It is a trend these days in some upscale restaurants, but an annoying one. Too bad Burton's has become more of a special occasion kind of place rather than a regular hangout, but it is still recommended for a birthday, anniversary or when you win the lottery. read more

Stopped by when I heard laughter from the outdoor patio and smelled the grill. I literally was just about to have dinner at Legal's next door but got curious. My first visit for dinner, so I reluctantly walked in and asked to view their menu. The greeter was so positive, upbeat and friendly I decided to stay. I was seated immediately and was very happy I did. You could tell the team enjoyed working there, the place had a nice energy, plus it was clean and had a modern decor, also great music selection. I really enjoyed the the genera tso chicken bowl, the white chocolate blueberry creme brûlée, and the sangria was really good.. everything was really flavorful and fresh!! The clam chowder here can rival the one at legal but I think this one was more smooth and wasn't as chunky. It really all comes down to preference. The Thai steak salad was super flavorful and refreshing! They didn't skimp out on the mandarins either but the steak was dry and tbh very chewy. So I barely touched it. The risotto wasn't really anything to write home about. I think I'd say it's just OK. Maybe I've been spoiled by my time living abroad but I basically just focused on the salad. read more

This was my second visit to Burtons for dinner. The first time was over five years ago and I'm not sure why I didn't come back sooner. We really enjoyed our dinner and the service was excellent. We came on a Saturday night for an early-ish dinner and the place was already hoppin. We only had to wait a few minutes and they were seated in a booth by the busy bar. I love that the booths have a foot-bar you can rest your feet on. It makes it so much more comfortable to sit. We started off with bread service. The bread came out so warm and yummy with three different toppings (olive oil/pesto, chopped olive mixture and a garlic butter). the bread was nice and crusty with salty & seeded top and a nice warm soft inside. We ate two, ha! - I ordered the steak frites & fries, which were perfectly cooked and the steak was very tasty and had a smoky charred flavor. The fries are homemade and tasted great. - Fish sandwich was piping hot and crispy. - Kids menu you pick a main, side, and drink and it has fun activities for the kids. - Not a lot on the dessert menu as there were only three items and one special. Plenty of parking in private lot and also shares with other businesses on route 9. read more

Waitstaff was super attentive, but the wait for drinks was super long. You could see all the staff at the bar working hard, but there just wasn't enough staff to cover for the volume of orders (and it wasn't a particularly weekday night). The food was good, and there were no complaints from anyone at our table, but for the price tag, I would hope for a little more. I had the veggie burger, and it was really standard in size/price. Walked here from nearby hotel for dinner and drink on a Wednesday night. Solo so sat at bar. When chicken sandwich came out I was surprised how small it looked. But it was very good and afterward realized I actually didn't need it to be bigger. Just not used to that smaller size portion. But again I enjoyed it and it's not like I was still hungry afterward. Fries were eh - whatever, wasn't looking to eat many fries anyway. Loved bartender putting one large ice cube for the tequila I ordered on rocks. However, I didn't watch him pour it, but they must use a measuring glass because it was no more than 1oz. Maybe that's a Mass. thing? I think some states have that law. If so, that sucks....Got there around 8:45pm and it was pretty dead, which I didn't care about but if anyone was looking for a lively place this wouldn't be it at this time midweek. read more

Ordered our drink came back maybe 3 minutes max. Asked if ready to order. Then took another 15 minutes to get a different bartender to take app order. Maybe 15 minutes later app arrives. We had drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert. Everything was great. In drinks we had Plantation pineapple, Pomegranate Martini, Mai tai and Winter aperol spritz. All were good but plantation pineapple was my favorite. Firecracker shrimp as an appetizer was a superb choice along with bread service. They .ake bread from scratch and it tastes great. I had filet mignon and my wife had risotto. Server was great and she made risotto vegetarian for my wife. Both dishes were tasty. Ambience wise they have huge place and very well lit. We are big fans of the Shrewsbury location ... although the prices are pretty much what you used to pay at a steakhouse in midtown Manhattan 5 years ago, the food is quality and the location is cool. The Framingham Burton's (right near Shoppers World and The Natick Mall) has similar food ... but a bit more of a bland atmosphere. The ceilings are lower here ... it feels less classy ... less leather couches and the bar is a little more cramped. But overall, there are surprisingly few decent restaurants near this huge mall and I'd put Burton's up there with the best food in the area. The menu is pretty much going to offer something for everyone. Healthy eaters will like the salads, bowls and fish. The carnivores will like the burgers, steaks and chicken. The pub food types will like the hot dips, wings or fried chicken sandwiches. Everything is creative and tasty. The beer selection, though shockingly expensive ... plan on paying $9 - $11 per 9 - 12 oz. draft ... is decent with lots of craft IPAs and someylthing for everyone. The cocktails are innovative and handmade at $14 - $16 each and the wine list is well cultivated. The staff herr is pretty good. Friendly and for the most part competent. They screw up my order far less then the Shrewsbury location, where the much younger staff bats around .500 on accuracy. Buffalo Chicken Dip appetizer ... is one of the best (if not unhealthiest) menu items. Handmade paderdelle Blogognese is a bargain (compared to the rest of the menu) at $25 and done well. This is a go-to dish. Burgers are good, although I always feel bloated after eating one. They took the knife and fork burger off the menu which was a larger, bunless burger. The steaks I've never had because to afford their price, you practically have to mortgage your house to order one. $38 for a small skirt steak and fries ... $50+ for the actual steaks. Add an $8 side of mediocre brussel sprouts and you are approaching $75 f9r a steak and side after tip. Add a couple cocktails and you are over $100 for one person! The fish tacos are good. Salads are pretty good. We haven't had anything really bad. The chicken risotto is actually another dish that is a go-to. It's huge though! Overall, we like the food ... like the menu ... don't love the atmosphere because the low ceilings and somewhat cramped booths feel a little smooshed in compared to the Shrewsbury location. One other pro tip ... don't sleep on the $4 bread basket. It's a fresh baked large pull apart salted roll with 2 dipping sauces and truffle butter that is the best thing Burton's makes. read more
