Another trip, and another amazing experience in the books!! This second time around, we took our entire family of five for an early Mother's Day Dinner (around 4:30pm). We were promptly seated and greeted in one of their more open areas of the restaurant. The room was packed with TV's (perfect for me as Game 7 of Celtics / 76ers was on!). I cannot stress enough how good their Marinated Steak Tips were. Absolutely out of this world. The in house marinade was ridiculous, and the tips themselves were perfectly cooked - super tender with a nice light char on the outside. As I'm writing this I seriously want to head over there and get more. They are 2 for 2 with me as far as spot on service, quality and atmosphere. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I wouldn't hesitate!! A great spot

Under new ownership, the Sudbury Point Grill took over the former Conrad's Restaurant in Sudbury. They are the same owners of Franco's Trattoria. At the time of this posting, the Sudbury Point Grill was still offering the Conrad's menu in addition to their smaller developing specials menu. Their official menu is now on their website. The place still looks the same as before with the spacious dining areas with booths and tables and the bar area with seating at the bar, high top tables, and a long table with high seating across from the bar. Some booths have their own small flatscreen TV. There is also outdoor patio seating too. I stopped in for a later dinner on the second night of business and the place was busy in the bar area with plenty of open tables in the adjacent dining areas. I was seated in a booth and given both Conrad's and Point Grill menus. Since I've eaten at Conrad's already, I decided to choose from the pricier Point Grill menu for the purpose of this posting, which had very limited food selections compared to the bigger Conrad's menu. They were still building their own menu, which will have some of the favorites from the Conrad's menu. I started out with an ice water and the PEI Mussels ($14.99 plus tax) which was served very hot in a big bowl, 2 dozen steamed mussels with onions, cherry tomatoes, garlic, scallions, in a tomato white wine sauce, very good and filling. For dinner, the Chicken Fajitas ($16.99 plus tax) came out on a sizzling iron skillet with strips of grilled chicken, seasonings, peppers, and onions, plus rice pilaf, sour cream, guacamole, pico de Gallo, lettuce, 3 warm soft corn tortillas on the side. I took my time to enjoy this good sized meal. When I was done, I passed on the dessert (Conrads dessert menu) and got the check which was $34.11 with tax and before tip. The service was acceptable and prompt. The waiter brought the mussels first and then the fajitas with the fixings afterwards. He checked on me a few times and cleared the used plates and shells away. I will keep an eye out as the Sudbury Point Grill menu evolves with more choices incorporating items from the Conrad's menu and Franco's Trattoria menu.

    Too Salty cold cut turkey.

Came here for lunch and sat at the bar. This is the second time I've been here and the service is always great. Food is not as successful. Last time I had the fried calamari which was decent, but I asked for no peppers and it came out with peppers anyway. This time I had the turkey club with potato salad as a side. The potato salad was much better than expected- not wet and soupy. The turkey club was disappointing. I asked for no cheese (which the kitchen obliged) and no mayo. The tomatoes were nice considering this time of year. But the turkey was what I would consider as sub par cold cut quality. Very salty. See photo. I would not order it next time. The menu is large so I'm sure I will find other better items. I'll be back for the service, vibe and hours.

Today I gave it a try and felt that it was good in some areas and just ok in others. Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

Known locally as "The Chat," it's tucked away in a neighborhood overlooking Dudley Pond, in what began life as a private fishing lodge nearly a century ago before becoming a speakeasy and eventually the local institution it is today. It definitely shows its age--and I mean that affectionately. (The Dudley Chateau) The building is well worn, it gets packed, it can be loud, and yes, the restrooms have seen better days. None of that has stopped us from coming back several times a year. Why? Because the food is consistently excellent, and so is the service. The menu goes well beyond what you'd expect from a neighborhood pub, and we've yet to leave disappointed. The staff somehow manages to stay friendly, attentive, and efficient even when the place is buzzing. The Dudley Chateau isn't trying to be trendy or upscale, and that's part of its charm. It's comfortable in its own skin, and so are the people who keep coming back. If you're looking for spotless, quiet, and polished, this probably isn't your place. But if you're looking for great food, friendly service, and a genuine local institution with plenty of character, it's absolutely worth the visit.

Menu is super basic, takes a long time to find anything to eat here. Settled on an iced tea, fish sandwich, and side salad. Iced tea was solid, fish sandwich was good, but the bun was lacking. Salad was low brow, but tasty enough, homemade blue cheese dressing, not offensive. The place could use a cleaning, and some feminine energy, and the menu needs a lot of help, if we are going to move away from seed oils. No need to rush back. But if I do come back, I will probably have dessert only, which looked decent.

I've been here for both of my sisters' graduation brunches, and we always leave happy. It's become one of our favorite spots for a celebratory brunch. For drinks, I tried their new Vanilla Bean Matcha Latte with oat milk. It was a bit thicker than I expected--possibly because of the oat milk. I can definitely see some people loving that texture, but for me it was just okay. That said, it was still a good drink, and the hint of vanilla came through nicely without overpowering the matcha. For food, we ordered a variety of dishes for the table. 1. The chicken and waffles had so much flavor, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly--not too runny, but still soft, gooey, and delicious. The chicken was a little soggy, but it made up for it by being incredibly tender. 2. The blueberry pancake was fantastic. Their pancake portions are huge, so this time we only ordered one to share. It was delicious, though definitely on the heavier side. 3. The house burger was easily the standout dish of the meal and might be my favorite item on the menu. It's simple and classic, but packed with flavor. 4. The chicken burger, on the other hand, was disappointing. The chicken was quite dry, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I think something like pickled onions or another acidic topping could help bring some balance and moisture to the sandwich. 5. We also tried the omelet, which was very good, especially with the goat cheese. What really made the experience special was that the staff noticed we were celebrating a graduation and surprised us with complimentary donuts. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely way to end the meal.

We had a 5pm reservation, which was perfectly quiet and relaxed, though by 6:30-7pm the place was packed. If you're walking in, definitely aim for the early side. Service was excellent from start to finish -- the host, our server, and every staff member we encountered were attentive and professional. The steak and seafood selection is diverse and well-rounded, with plenty of side options to choose from. One honest note: the sides were a bit underwhelming on the flavor front compared to the rest of the meal, which is worth knowing going in. The appetizers, however, were a highlight -- and the french onion soup deserves a special shout-out. The drink program is solid with a strong wine list, and a nice bonus for non-drinkers: they offer a mocktail menu that was genuinely tasty, not an afterthought. When I go out to a high end steak house, I expect my steak to be cooked as ordered to perfection, and the service to be excellent. I am sad to say this was not the case. Our cocktails and appetizers were adequate, but unimaginative. For dinner, my friend and I each ordered Westholm Wagyu NY Strip ( priced at over $100 each) because we were told they were the best steak on the menu and we wanted to treat ourselves. I ordered mine rare, and my friend ordered his medium. Our other friend got the lamb, which was fine. When our steaks arrived mine was Medium to Medium-well, and his was clearly on the very dead side of well done. When we complained to our waiter he brought over the manager - and then things went really sideways. the manager started by giving us attitude but finally had to concede that my friend's steak was completely over cooked. When I said my steak was over cooked too, he became rude and angry, told me he was already taking my friend's steak off our bill and he wasn't gong to discuss it with me. When I insisted I had ordered my steak rare, he said " I was in the kitchen and watched your steak come out of the oven at a perfect 145º, so stop trying to push it Lady." I was so shocked by his response I didn't argue. I know a rare steak is cooked to 125º - 130º at most. It left me wondering if he treats all women like that.
