I opened the menu and my jaw dropped, THE TRUMP TARIFFS HAVE KICKED IN!!! prices have INCREASED 25% - 35% You want a 10-INCH bar-sized cheese pizza and it's listed at $18, AYFKM? By the time I add a couple of toppings, a beer + tax & tip it's going to cost me $50. Plan on $pending at least $100 for dinner as a couple; a family of four isn't getting out of here much less than $200. I make good money, but NO WAY am I going to be coming back. For the record, I ordered a small cast-iron skillet of cornbread with a coke and it cost me almost $20. read more

We were told the wait was 20 minutes. After waiting a while, the host approached us and asked for our name again. We were brought to our table and our server came over in a few minutes. She took drink orders and said it would be a while for the bar drinks. After about 25 minutes we got drinks and placed our order. It took over an hour for a Dip, a wrap and a pizza. The food had been sitting under a heat lamp. I know this because the arugula was wilted and the fig juice crystallized on the pizza. The wrap was just alright. The wrap itself a bit crispy. The dip was cold. Not just cold but really cold. The roll was soggy and the jus was thick. I don't like to send food back, but after waiting over an hour, I wanted hot food. In the meanwhile, the host sat a party of 8 kids on one side of us and the 6 adults on the other side. The kids were running back and forth and the parents were screaming over us for the kids to behave. Now, after being seated for 1 1/2 hours my refire Dip came out. At this point I was unable to eat it and wrapped it to bring home. The second one did look much better than the first. To sum it up: terrible service, beginning at the host desk, then the server and then the ambiance during the dining experience. It was far from a relaxing enjoyable dinner. This is an edit of a review that I posted last night reporting on the frustrating experience of ordering a takeout pizza and finding out it was not correct when I got home. My original rating of 1 was based on a call to the staffer who took the order who would ask the manager to call me back. Since then, I have spoken today with the manager, Lauren, who could not have been more apologetic about the mistake on the order and who has made it all good. We all know mistakes may be rare but are inevitable in the restaurant business and the rating should reflect how the restaurant fixes the mistake. Nice way to wrap up a long work week. Made some reservations for 6:15 and showed up a bit early and were seated immediately. Nice and simple decor highlighting prints of some icon location around Wayland. Our server Anthony was attentive with a great demeanor. I ordered a pepperoni pizza to celebrate Pi day and was not disappointed. Delicious and well cooked. Walked in and barely any other tables were there, we were sat right away and continued to sit for 12 minutes with no acknowledgment, not even water poured. The two tables nearby who had a server kept telling us someone would be right over as she would walk by with a water pitcher. Arrived on time for our reservation, and despite reserving a traditional table/booth, we were seated at a high top near the bar. Not the end of the world, but not the vibe we were seeking. We asked our server for suggestions as we had never been here before, and his brutally honest candor was refreshing - and surprising. In an amusing fashion, he told us all the bowls were incredibly over priced for what you get, and avoid anything with pulled pork. He also indicated the tacos are all good, as are the burgers and chicken sandwich (but it is drowning in honey mustard sauce). Since he told us his favorite item was the French dip sandwich, that's what I ordered. The short rib on the sandwich was very good - tender and rich, but not fatty, and a decent portion. Unfortunately, the cheese and horseradish were barely noticeable, so without the au jus, it was a bit dry. The au jus was nice, but served in a cup slightly larger than a shot glass, so you could barely dip the sandwich into the cup. IMO, you need more au jus in a different vessel, more cheese, and more horseradish cream to complement the meat. I was expecting skin on fries based on the Yelp pictures, but ours were golden and seemed more like a frozen variety than hand cut. Not bad, but they would have been better with some seasoning. read more

Came here for lunch on a summer weekday. The ambiance is pretty nice - the interior is huge with many seating options from booths to tables to a U-shaped bar. There are TVs at the bar for watching a game - would be fun to sit there for a Celtics game or something. My mother in law and I sat outside on the patio because the weather was nice. As this restaurant is in a busy, newly developed shopping area, the traffic was somewhat noisy (an 18 wheeler idled next to our table for a while as it delivered food to this restaurant - not so great!) The server was clearly new but eager to do well. They were friendly and had good timing. There were some small errors on their part, like when they brought out our shared appetizer but did not provide any cutlery, napkins, or small plates. We had to wait for them to come back and refill our water and then ask for those items because the appetizer would have been too messy otherwise. They also brought the check before we were ready, as we had wanted to see the dessert menu first. Again, very friendly server, just new with some things to smooth out. The food was the most disappointing part. The appetizer we shared was the Crispy Brussels Sprouts with soy lime sauce. I was hoping the brussel sprouts would be baked with one or two crispy layers/leaves as most brussel sprout apps are, but these were completely deep fried. It was also a ginormous bowl of them - much too large of a portion in my opinion. The sauce was tasty. We each ate a few but didn't really enjoy them as they were so fried and oily - not what we expected! My MIL got the blackened salmon, which she was happy with. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was fine. It was again not what I expected. It was a full size tortilla with chicken and cheese inside, but the only other ingredient inside seemed to be some kind of thick tomato sauce/salsa. It was like no quesadilla I'd ever had...but in a bad way. It seems pretty standard to me to add in at least some diced peppers and onions or maybe black beans or corn to give some flavor and variety in texture. And yet there was none of that. It was served with sour cream, guacamole that did NOT seem homemade/fresh, and some salsa and shredded lettuce. Some of the larger chicken pieces inside the quesadilla were also rubbery in texture. It just felt like a really lazy quesadilla with a lot missing. This place is a very standard chain-vibe American restaurant. They have a burger. They have a salmon dish. They have a fried pickle appetizer and a quinoa "power bowl". I found the menu offerings to be kind of cliché and I wasn't impressed with anything I ate. Would not come back. read more

It was not too busy but waiter was covering more tables while two people were just chatting away at the front desk the entire time. Probably the front desk girl and manager or assistant manager. Service is highly variable , the food is usually comfort food but nothing special and the prices are on the more expensive side . For better or worse it's a favorite of a couple of family relatives , so I go here often enough to know that it's just OK. There are better places to spend your time and money. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the outside dining area very comfortable (until about 7:30PM when the mosquitos arrive!). I was disappointed to have been handed a dirty menu but they were busy so I could understand it slipping by. We began our meal with the crispy Brussel sprouts that came with a lime soy dipping sauce but unfortunately not with small plates to put them on. Because our waiter was busy, I got up and got some plates from the dining room inside the building. That said, the sprouts were crispy and the dipping sauce matched well! Next two of us ordered the Hong Kong noodles made with a sweet soy sauce which arrived with a generous amount of kale, peanuts, red peppers, mushrooms, onions and cabbage mixed in. The other of us had a southwest salad with shrimp. While perhaps the flavor of our food was not exceptional, the food itself was well made. All tiny fractions of pieces of chips with a tiny cup of onion dip. I ordered French Dip...it came with no dip. Fries were good but the sandwich was bleh quality. My girlfriend ordered garlic bread and the sausage & farfalle pasta. The garlic bread was a special that night...it was buttered toast. There was no garlic or garlic taste anywhere to be found. And it was served with more butter. The pasta was solid but the onions were crispy and not cooked soft like they are supposed to be. First thing he says is do you know what you want? We both replied yes. Before we even had a chance to breath, he replies, "well you gonna let me know anytime soon?" Was thinking in my head, bro give us a millisecond to respond. Put in our order and he just disappears into thin air. Doesn't tell any servers around him nor does he inform us. Aside from a different server or might have been a busgirl bringing out our app, we had zero service for about 30minutes. We finally got fed up and said something to a passing waitress. Heavy set brunette who wasn't all that pleasant to deal with either. Didn't seem happy we were displeased with not getting any service for extended periods of time. The only saving grace was believe her name was Caroline. During Brian's disappearing act she took over all his duties and helped us as best she could and she was fantastic. Never coming back here again. Brian left a real sour taste in my mouth and my buddy said he's had several bad experiences with him before as well. We were not rude to you in any shape or form Brian. My partner and I ate here for the first time a few days ago and it was fantastic. We had the nachos, clam chowder, chicken sliders, steak tips, and the skillet cookie. My entree (steak tips) was my favorite! Cooked perfectly, great flavor, and the fries perfectly crispy on the outside and well seasoned. Great serving sizes too. I'm not usually a fan of sports screens but they weren't up loud or distracting, they were just over the bar area. Nice decoration, not over fancy or casual. Just right. Service was great! We asked for an extra 10 minutes after dinner before even considering dessert, and our server accommodated. She managed a perfect balance between checking in on us and giving us space for our date.
