We just moved to Framingham and had guests visiting from Texas. Our experience in Texas has been that - well - it's not famous for Italian food. We wanted them to have delicious, authentic, Italian food. We also wanted it delivered. I found great reviews of Franco's on Yelp and decided to give them a try. We ordered a variety of things, and everything was scrumptious. The servings were enormous (I made 4 meals of my chicken parm). Everyone was impressed, and I'm so glad we selected Franco's. We've given them several chances since it sold a few years ago and it just isn't what it use to be. Subs are small, stale and bland. Cheese Pizza was one of the worst I've had in a long time and the tiramisu we got last week was inedible. It was a jello like consistency and a far cry from what use to be the best in the area before the sale. We wanted to continue to love Franco's like we use to but there are too many better options at this point. read more

What a nice and casual place with excellent yummy food! I got an eggplant parm with spaghetti, which can be a hit or miss for other places, and it exceeded my expectations. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Will be back with my family for sure! read more

The food is excellent and the service efficient. The ambiance is that of most pizza places but don't let that deter you from this place! Carlos is personable and let us in on his philosophy. We've been getting pizza from Franco's on a weekly basis for a while now, and are always pleased with the quality and flavor. The pizza is never too greasy or heavy, and they have a lot of interesting options. The crust is perfect and the toppings are fresh and delicious! The photos speak for themselves. A roll with a single slice of prosciutto, mozzarella, and tomato. $11. I understand that food costs are high, but I would have rather paid $15 and had a proper sandwich. Franco's, do you stand by this? For the record, we ordered this (Di Prosciutto) and a The Godfather, and the latter was nearly as pathetic. read more

Franco's was one of my favorite pizza places, but after they were acquired a few years ago, the quality and portion size has continuously dropped and despite increasingly infrequent visits, I've never felt that they improved at all. First prices steadily crept up, then portion sizes started dropping. I'm OK if you need to shrink portions OR increase prices for the same sizes, but to do both is a bit egregious. The salads in particular caught my eye- they are now half depth but have increased from 9.95 to 14.95 despite this, and that doesn't even speak to the quality which has also reduced. Last time we were there we got a simple cheese pizza (in addition to other items) and you could tell the love wasn't there anymore. Thin crust, minimal sauce and cheese, and the flavor wasn't the same. Seemed like a lot of cost-cutting measures rather than a change in recipe...Franco's used to have the right balance of thick/thin, cheese and sauce to make a killer pizza, but now I can usually find a good reason to go anywhere else. After the same family acquired Conrad's, I can see the same thing happening over there. Not much you can do aside from speak with your dollars, but when Rossini's is keeping the pizza quality the same despite inflation creep and you can get a cheese pizza for LESS at someplace like Giacomo's, then something is wrong. read more

I ordered a BLT figuring you're can't go wrong with this classic sandwich. I waited what seemed like a long time and finally got it and went to my car to eat it. What a total disappointment! Wow the slice of tomato was so thin it was like a piece of paper and there was such a tiny pinch of shredded lettuce that was such a joke. It didn't even try to cover the bread which had no mayonnaise (definitely standard unless one asks not to put it on). The bacon was just ok also very thin, fatty and scarce. Basically I paid 8bucks for a piece of warm bread. Never going back. Hubby got a slice of pizza which was cold. How can a restaurant serve that and think it's good???? It's beyond me. read more

Been here a couple times. Two things remain consistent: the food is just ok -and- they operate at a pace roughly 5 mph slower than the speed of growing wood. The food is ok but you will grow old and die before they even start moving. And expect an attitude if you ask about it. Seriously, get it together. My 10 year old moves faster and will produce better results with less attitude. read more

There good is absolutely incredible. Even the new items on the menu is good. I'm sad they got rid of the gelato and dynamite bites. Their desserts could definitely be better, but the food is so good. I've only eaten from Franco Trattoria's twice so far and was really impressed by everything. I'm really loving the pastries and desserts! However the last time I ordered, I got a salad with some chicken fingers.....I noticed some of the chicken fingers were undercooked when I cut into them. I unfortunately had to throw them away. I just wanted to write a review in hopes that the cooks may pay a bit more attention to avoid any issues in the future with undercooked meat. I'll continue to order from Franco's because they use good quality ingredients, and well.....their desserts are too good! I'll just be avoiding any of the meat options for awhile :( read more

I ordered the fresh linguine marinara. I was excited that they would use fresh pasta, but the excitement did not last long. The pasta was overcooked by at least a minute or two. This resulted in a mushy texture. The sauce was ladled on top and not mixed in with the pasta. Another Italian no no. The sauce was good but it is the same sauce my local pizza place in Westford uses so I know it wasn't made in house. This place could be so much better if they cared about the quality of the food. read more

Here for a basketball tournament, my daughter and I do our traditional check out the local pizza places for a pizza and meatball sandwich run. Based on great Yelp reviews, we decided to try Franco's. It a a nice, clean, airy, great smelling place, longer than it is wide. Super friendly staff and a fantastic selection of Italian deli and pizza items. We ordered garlic knots, a meatball sandwich and a small cheese pizza. The garlic knots are a great appetizer. Large, doughy knots in a pool of garlic and butter. Amazingly good. The meatball sandwich came on a nice, fresh roll. Large, tasty meatballs in a sweet tomato sauce and some great provolone cheese. The pizza is thin crust, cooked in a real pizza oven. Crispy, airy, tasty, you'll definitely appreciate the fresh ingredients and the care that goes into everything here. The drink selection was the only ding I could add. There were a few Coke products and some generic "healthier" fizzy items as well as the beer selection. Franco's is a nice, clean, super friendly, delicious place. The last time I went there was 5 years ago; it was mediocre. I went again today; it is still mediocre. To be honest, I've never had their pizza, but the ravioli and the veal parm sandwich were nothing to rave about. There are much better Italian options nearby. read more

*Under new ownership/management as of October 2019. Old timers will fondly remember TANO'S Pizza of Framingham. This was Franco's Trattoria in it's infancy. In later years, Franco opened Franco's Cafe on Rte 9 in Framingham where he established a reputation for serving up the best Italian-style pizza int he Metrowest. After opening and closing in Natick after a few short years, Franco chose to bring his fabulous Italian fare to the bustling and unique Mill Village of Sudbury, Franco's Trattoria is just around the corner from Nobscot,& the Garden in the Woods, a few miles from Sudbury's Wayside Inn, and the well known Russell's Garden Center of Wayland. The chicken Parm was a great substitution for the Pizza sub. I ate most there then took the rest to my hotel and finished it there.
