Came here for lunch after an event at the library.. It's a really cozy take out place, a genuine corner deli. This is a full take-out place, so keep that in mind. I had the large meatball sub. This was recommended and it had some heft to it. This was a big, messy, delicious sandwich! No pic of the sandwich since I ate it in my car. It was all prepared fresh and promptly. I was a great value, and I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Greek salad with grilled chicken

I ordered catering from here for lunch via Relish. Because of this I can't speak to the ambiance of the deli itself. However, I can speak on the food. I ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken, which was great! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the chicken was plain and cold. Additionally, it would have been nice if it came with a side pita. All in all, the salad was great and packed with feta! I'd order this again.

Italian with hots. This his is only half of the sandwich.

Old school deli with good sandwiches. The outside is non-descript, so you may not notice it. I had the Italian with hot peppers. Decent sandwich on fresh bread.

Family Italian!! Just so fresh and filling! Yummmmmm.

Really good deli shop! I'm not usually into cold sandwiches (they do offer hot ones), but I was committed to trying the "Family Italian" after I had seen the sandwich! It was phenomenal and filling. I got a small and the small is really a large and I had to finish the rest later in the day. Service was prompt. I ordered in store. Not pictured here was carrot cake slice (for me) and NY cheesecake slice I picked up as well. So good. I will be returning.

Great sandwiches. Don't order a large. If you eat 1/2 you will be full but they are so good if you eat the whole thing you will need a nap

Great tasting large sandwiches! Pretty fast turnaround even during lunch rush. The ingredients taste fresh and the meats are cut there.

The people working there were really nice and let us eat there until 8. It is cute inside, with limited seating. They also have picnic tables outside. They sell wine, pasta, sauces, coffee beans, ice cream, etc. some from local companies/vendors. It's a fun place to browse. Their chicken sandwiches are good, but I always get a bowl with either chicken thighs or steak. They have excellent sauces and the food here is really good, albeit a bit on the saltier side. The clam chowder is nice and hearty. I also really like their drinks, including the strawberry rhubarb one and the lemonade.

Their fried chicken sandwiches can all be made with plant-based chicken, which suits my current situation. I had the Street Corn Chicken Torta (G, D) with the plant-based chicken and it was fantastic. My potato salad side was excellent too. They had a lot of orders up with folks coming in constantly. Such a cute building also. Great place, and the staff were super nice as well.

I have only been in the store once, cause, I usually get left on the job for my dad to head out and grab the food for us - he usually calls with a menu and lets me pick a sub, or something. The sheer variety of subs he read off to me made my head spin the first time. I decided I would just send him the next time with a main ingredient (ie type of meat) and let him do the rest. It worked out pretty well. I've tried the Buffalo chicken? turkey? sub, which was nice and spicy; asked for it with ranch instead of any crazy blue cheese business - I don't like that stuff at all! It was awesome. It was just what I wanted that day! I tried the "train wreck" which was good - though I was so hungry, I couldn't even tell you what was in it. I also had my first "hot pastrami" that I remember ordering for myself the last time we went there. It was good, but dry - and next time I'd get it with spicy brown mustard, not yellow. They have amazingly large muffins and coffees all over the place that are wicked cheap! There are about 674 different types of cold drinks in all the cases that line the walls. You can get several different types of chips and snacks if you don't want to go to the deli. The people who work here are really nice. I liked all the interactions - on my one visit, with the three different people I talked to. They were speedy and good at what they do. I will def go back if I'm out that way again.

Their bread is still some of the best around, and their staff are great. Ever since they rebuilt their entrance to be in the back, you have had a walk through a very unattractive alleyway that was used for trucks picking up the trash before it was converted to the entrance, and honestly, it has barely been converted. Today I got a chocolate chip cookie, and it was essentially flavorless. If you are looking for good bread, this is definitely your spot, but if you're trying to find anything else, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this **Replying to the owner** I seriously don't understand owners and employees on yelp who play victim when it comes to negative reviews. The customer had a negative experience, they describe it truthfully on yelp. Yes, the 3 star review negatively impacts the business, but ultimately, that's how reviews work, and you should take negative reviews as constructive criticism, and reply apologetically and constructively instead of being rude and defensive. As they say, customer is king. To your point that I didn't review your main menu focus sandwiches, despite your fact that a large portion of your building is dedicated to making bread, and no real area for putting together sandwiches. Either way, it wouldn't matter, the cookie I had was not great, and I reviewed accordingly. Responding to negative reviews in a defensive and rude way steers customers away from your establishment almost as much as a negative review does, if not more.

Perhaps it was just the day as the street sale was happening and the store was extra busy but I got attitude when I asked about a certain type of sandwich and came close to making a retort that would have been embarrassing for me and the other person involved. I ordered and waited for my food, paid then I left. Sorry to say that I was dismayed but there it is. It was quite busy on the day and it seemed that crowd management could have been handled better. Perhaps when the store has its remodel the traffic flow can be improved upon. I've always enjoyed shopping here and would like that to continue..

The shop sells cheese (and they let you have samples), wine, and imported foods, but it also a full deli that serves sandwiches, salads, prepared food, and more. It was the best brie (and soooo much brie) that I've ever had and just a perfect sandwich. There was a little wait to order - it's a popular spot - but once our sandwiches were in a brown paper sack in our hands, we drove over to Walden Pond and enjoyed them there. What could be a more perfect lunch on a first visit to Concord than a great sandwich from the Concord Cheese Shop enjoyed looking out at Walden Pond?! I'd return for that sandwich - and next time I'm tasting cheeses, too!
