2 stars, for two reasons: 1) Greek salad was mediocre at best. Not fresh feta cheese (I know I can't expect Corfu, but c'mon- the wet nuggets of chalk masquerading as cheese? Blech). The dressing had a weird taste as well. 2) the real issue however, befitting a true crime podcast it was so egregious, was that the eggplant parm sub was not toasted. TC Landon's is a good spot for typical foods like burgers,pizza, sandwiches, fries, and etc. The restaurant is in the long column of other businesses and is near Santa Fe. The building is small so it has little to no seating inside. They have seating outside but that is good for when the weather is nice outside. The menu is good. The food is good quality. I recommend the fries, burger sub, and the mozzarella sticks however the mozzarella sticks are expensive costing $10 per order. TC Lando's gives you a couple of mozzarella sticks but not enough so I suggest to serve a bit more. The fries are crispy but could have salt. The burger sub is delicious. The service is average. They have a small staff. The person at the register clearly was their first day. Overall, food is pretty good but the seating area and some of the prices are not ideal. read more

Ordered a Greek salad with extra feta and extra pita. Got home to find no pita at all :( had to drive all the way back to get the pita since we paid for it and wanted it with the salad. Only to open up the pita and find that the dough was raw and stretchy, as if it wasn't cooked enough. Also if you like to put your salad in the pita, they don't have that kind of pita -- just a heads up!! They're tiny triangles with no pocket. I wanted to give another update since the last. They have improved and the food was good. I ordered off the online app and it was easy to fill out. The only issue I had was with the page and font sizing. Food was hot, on-time and complete. I had the MOAB which was filled w/ fresh veggies, cheese. No skimping on items- it was huge. Had onion rings that were much better. My husband had the Giamobota subs which is his favorite. For those who love meat, this is the sub for you. He said it was really good. He also had the cheese sticks which was very good w/ the thick flavorful tomato sauce. I'm so glad they are better. read more

While Philadelphia will probably always be the epicenter for the culinary wonder known as the cheesesteak, TC Landos in Acton, Massachussetts shows that a good cheesesteak can be found outside of the City of Brotherly Love. The Cherry Bomb is a great way to go. A cheesesteak with pepperoni, hot cherry peppers, tomato sauce, provolone and for whatever reason, barbecue sauce (I had them hold it). This is a great combination and the Cherry Bomb is truly a behemoth of a sandwich. In addition to cheesesteaks, they also offer both hot and cold subs and inexplicably burritos. This restaurant keeps the surprises coming. I did not have the burrito, I was directed here and told that I had to order the cheesesteak. This was definitely a good recommendation, so I shall share this recommendation with you. Go check out TC Lando's. Get a cheesesteak. I've been going to TC Lando's Acton for many, many years and they have been pretty consistent over this time unlike some restaurants I frequent. Portions are large for the money, quality of ingredients is good and service is efficient. It is not a dine-in type of place although there are some tables outside if the weather is decent. Carl and his team do a good job getting food out quickly. I have never had the pizza, mostly Italian Cold Cut and Steak and Cheese sub. My daughter is a big fan of the meatball, that too seems to have a generous amount of meatball and is a good size meal. Just finishing up my Italian Cold Cut as I write this, and it had a generous amount of meat and just the right amount of toppings (and a sprinkle of some herbs/spices to top it off). Cheesesteaks Onion rings Dropped in on a Saturday night at 6pm. Lots of takeout/online orders, in and out. But I was able to put in my order right away up front. They make it Fresh to order - 10 minutes. I went next door to the Wine/Beer place to pick out some beverages and pass the time. Order was waiting for me when I got back - piping hot. I got the Firecracker sub - cheesesteak with pepperoni besides the usual meat and provolone. It was amazing - somehow the core of the sandwich continued to stay hot as I ate it, glorious. Also, I'm a big fan of onion rings, and these were great - crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. Highly recommend! A friend just moved to Clinton and had yet to be able to find a good pizza. We decided to try TC Lando's and let's just say... she is still trying to find a good pizza. The pizza was so floppy they might as well have used a wet piece of paper instead of dough. None of the toppings seemed fresh and it was expensive. The side of blue cheese served with the buffalo chicken pizza was most definitely rotten and I'm not even sure it was actually blue cheese. My two experiences at TC Landos have both been bad because the guy answering the phones does not listen. Today I ordered a Poppeyes pizza and a jalapeño poppers . I paid and then opened up the bag and instead of jalapeño poppers, there were cheese fries. What? These two things don't even sound the same. When I told the guys this is not what I ordered they just claimed it was and refused to make things right. I see many similar complaints of the workers at TC Landos not listening, getting orders completely wrong, and refusing to correct the issue or own up to their mistakes. I've been going to TC Lando's occasionally for over 20 years, and tonight's visit will be the last. At one time, they were the best in the area for a steak sub. The portions were large, the quality of the meat was good and prices were reasonable for the amount of food. I hadn't been in awhile and stopped in for two "Cherry Bomb" steak subs, which have pepperoni, tomato sauce, BBQ sauce and hots. Found out when I got home, one of them simply had steak and cheese, with nothing else and the meat was dry. As for the second, it's obvious that the quality of the meat is far from what it used to be, and there was noticeably less sauce and hots than before. Jalapeño poppers amazing, service not so much. I Called in and ordered one item. The guy that answered the phone said it would be ready in 5 minutes, reasonable . I ended up getting there within 15. I went up to the register and paid for my poppers and the teen at the register said they weren't ready yet. I had no problem with waiting a couple minutes. But a couple minutes quickly turned to 15, and then 20. I asked the boy at the register how much longer my order would be, I was kinda short on time. He went to check with the cooks, and as it turns out, they had been ready for ten minutes. My order was in a bag ready to go, right next to the register the whole time. The guy at the register should have been more attentive to orders that were ready, especially when the customer is waiting to pick it up. Despite being inattentive, he was very attentive to the top bucket, which was a dog that had a bouncing head and tail when you move it. Craving a steak and cheese sub? You LITERALLY can not find a better place than this. I drive 40 minutes just to come here. My husband grew up in Acton so this was probably one of the first places he ever took me there. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. 2 people? Order a large and split it! Alone? Get a large, eat half and later toss that other half into a toaster oven to warm up, you'll thank me later. We get steak and cheese, mushrooms, pepper, onions and double the cheese, lettuce ontop! I doubt that the restaurant cares about yelp but here it goes - they have a menu which says - make your own pizza. So I picked my toppings and what I wanted and when my friend went in to pick it up he got a ton of flack about how I must be high maintenance and difficult to deal with. I just picked what I want on my pizza... I asked for a vegetarian pizza with a few different toppings and asked for a side of marinara sauce. They gave me meat marinara sauce on the side. Didn't realize I had to ask for meatless sauce... I won't be going back. I know this gets good reviews for the taste of the food but I think that service is just as important. Also - I don't think the crust of the pizza (dough) is that great. There are better pizza places that may actually appreciate my business. I don't need to pay people to be rude to me. read more
