Very pleasantly surprised! Pasta, pizza, calzones- yes please! I spied the wood fired pizza oven (ok not wood fired but same concept) which I really like. Ordered at the counter and I got the lunch special chicken parm with fuzilli pasta. I was supposed to get a # from the cashier but didn't so there was a mix up when my food was ready and I had to wait double. Bread came with my meal with soft butter. EVOO was on the tables. Dish was very food and a generous portion seasoned well. 2 big chicken breasts covered with melted cheese on top of the pasta. Sauce was fresh and had some nice tomato chunks. Really nice place for some quick fresh Italian. The only neg is that the food was served on a cheap plastic plate and plastic silverware. Real plates and cutlery would have been nice.

Owner was yelling to staff that I was there to pick up and not one of the staff members acknowledged it or checked. Owner kept Noticing we were standing there and kept trying to get the staff members to finish our order and get us out of there. Again no one looked for slip or food. After waiting for 25 min the owner I think he's the owner anyway kept saying I was here for Pick up. Finally someone checked and the order had been sitting out for the entire time we were there. Got home. Food is absolutely cold. Pizza was completely burnt. Couldn't even eat the pizza . I had taken a bite and the pizza snapped from the burnt pizza underneath. I have been going to espressos my entire life over 30 years! I have never seen anything like this. The owner who is always great and is still amazing. I have nothing bad to say about him he's always so friendly and on top of things. Usually the older guys who work there are great! No complaints. As for the younger staff, very lost and have no idea what they are doing. The younger staff definitely needs training!!! They were extremely incompetent. Mind you I was not the only customer complaining while I was in there I saw atleast 3-4 very unhappy customers shaking their heads and whispering under there breath while walking away. This is unacceptable. It's not like we spent a few bucks we spent like $42 bucks on food we didn't even eat and food was cold and burnt. One of the cooks said as we were walking out "oh he's pissed" and we heard and my fiance yelled back " yeah I've been coming here for 40 years and have never had such terrible service." Which of course we were pissed waiting for Almost half hour and our order was sitting Out and not handed to us because no one cared to look for the slip or food even though the manger/ owner had made it very known we were there waiting.... I feel bad because I love this establishment and I love the main guy who works there because he's always upbeat and friendly and this has nothing to do with him because he tried his best to get these kids to grasp The concept that we were waiting and they weren't comprehending or something. Also normally the food is wonderful which is why I keep coming back but I've never seen such a mess. Hope this staff gets the extra training and time Management for this line of work because espressos won't be a favorite of many people In the area if not.

My only special requests were that I asked for provolone and for the bread to be toasted. I got home and unwrapped my sandwich only to find _none_ of the veggies had been added. Perhaps the veggies did some sort of culinary drive by but there was not a single piece of mushroom, onion or pepper. Not one. In fact, there was not a drop of chlorophyll anywhere. I got a dry sub of steak tips and cheese. I didn't bother to call because I wasn't going to go out to get a replacement. I ate it anyway but it was not as satisfying as it could have been.

Family Pizza is a great pizza parlor, and is, in my opinion, one of the best places for pizzas,…read morefries, and burgers in Dracut. Family Pizza offers the usual kind of food you'd find in any other pizza joint, like specialty pizzas, dinners, pastas, calzones, burgers, salads, fries, wings, subs, home made desserts, and all that jazz, but the food here tastes much better, and the prices are out of this world. Pizza here is pretty good. The sauce is sweet, just how I like it, but the dough is a little too powdery and chewy than I usually prefer, though it's still good. They offer all kinds of toppings, like pepperoni, sausage, ham, green peppers, etc, and there are also specialty pizzas too. Though Family's may not have the best pizza in town (that would be Brother's Pizza), they make up for it with their burgers, which steal the show here. Their $4 Mula Burger meal is amazing, and it's so darn cheap! It comes with a huge, juicy, 6 oz burger loaded with condiments and veggies like lettuce, pickles, tomato, cheese, onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup, all in a toasted sesame seed bun. Cheese and bacon can also be applied for an additional cost. You also get a whole side of their crunchy fries on the side, and a canned drink of your choice. Another special that is an even better value is the Hamburger Dinner, which comes with two burgers, fries, onion rings, a side salad, and a drink for just $5.75! Talk about cheap! I love this place! This place is also good for group occasions too, because my baseball coach used to take the team out for pizza all the time here after a winning game, and there was always more than enough room. Overall, Family Pizza is a superb place for pizzas and burgers in Dracut, and it's a much better option than your local fast food joint. With so much variety to choose from, like calzones, dinners, wings, and subs all for such cheap prices, what could go wrong? This place has been up and running since I was a kid, and if it's lasted that long, they must be doing something right.
