I decided to stop at Family Pizza for dinner very recently for the first time. This casual pizza shop, which is located across the street from the high school, offers thin crust pizzas (by the slice or pie), calzones, subs, salads, grilled items, pasta dinners, fried seafood, appetizers, Coke products and more. They have baklava for dessert! Combo meal and Daily Specials are also offered. For dinner, I ordered the 2 Cheese Pizza Slices & 20 oz bottled Coke product combo deal ($4.50) and the Lasagna Special ($4.90) served with salad or cole slaw, totaling under $10, $9.99 to be exact! The cheese pizza slices were pretty good, which had a thin firm crust (crisp outside, soft inside) with the right amount of sauce and cheese and not greasy. The Lasagna was also pretty good, and a generous portion with 8 layers of noodles & cheese/meat filling mixture and covered with lots of thick tomato sauce & melted mozzarella and served with 3 big soft meatballs on the side. The small side of cole slaw had a crisp texture and good tangy taste. Overall, the food was tasty, very filling, and the prices are very reasonable. My husband got there in 20 minutes and they had no idea about the order, so now he reorders and pays for it and has to wait 25 minutes. The wings were ice cold, the steak and cheese calzone was all dough with a little bit of steak and cheese in the middle of it. We ordered sauce on the side and it was iced cold. I called to let the person on the phone know I was not happy and she did not give an F about anything I had to say. So not only is the food terrible and all dough no filling in a calzone that cost almost $40, but the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Prices here are very affordable and portions are tremendous, with the school complex right across the street, they sure know how to cater to their customers. - Fast - Generous Portions - Affordable - Delicious! Their $4 "Mula Burger" deal is ridiculous! For $4 plus tax you get a HUGE 6oz burger, ask for it loaded! ( Lettuce, onions, pickles, mayo, ketchup, mustard ) it also comes with a whole side of fries and a can of soda of your choice. Far cheaper than your local fast food joint and better prepared with bigger portions! Fantastic! Their small 14" Calzones also come with huge portions packed with the filling of your choice. The last time I ordered a small Chicken Finger Calzone here, it took 3 of my friends and I to eat it and we still didn't finish it, imagine if we ordered the large! My 1st time here, went with the chicken finger dinner. Unfortunately the meat quality was comparable with frozen chicken nuggets or like fast food chicken. Was not real breaded chicken which was a bummer. You can tell in the photo. The fries/onion rings were really GOOD and delivery was quick ( it was the middle of the day). Ordered online easily through there website. Family Pizza is a great pizza parlor, and is, in my opinion, one of the best places for pizzas, fries, and burgers in Dracut. Family Pizza offers the usual kind of food you'd find in any other pizza joint, like specialty pizzas, dinners, pastas, calzones, burgers, salads, fries, wings, subs, home made desserts, and all that jazz, but the food here tastes much better, and the prices are out of this world. Pizza here is pretty good. The sauce is sweet, just how I like it, but the dough is a little too powdery and chewy than I usually prefer, though it's still good. They offer all kinds of toppings, like pepperoni, sausage, ham, green peppers, etc, and there are also specialty pizzas too. Though Family's may not have the best pizza in town (that would be Brother's Pizza), they make up for it with their burgers, which steal the show here. Their $4 Mula Burger meal is amazing, and it's so darn cheap! It comes with a huge, juicy, 6 oz burger loaded with condiments and veggies like lettuce, pickles, tomato, cheese, onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup, all in a toasted sesame seed bun. Cheese and bacon can also be applied for an additional cost. You also get a whole side of their crunchy fries on the side, and a canned drink of your choice. Another special that is an even better value is the Hamburger Dinner, which comes with two burgers, fries, onion rings, a side salad, and a drink for just $5.75! Talk about cheap! I love this place! This place is also good for group occasions too, because my baseball coach used to take the team out for pizza all the time here after a winning game, and there was always more than enough room. Overall, Family Pizza is a superb place for pizzas and burgers in Dracut, and it's a much better option than your local fast food joint. With so much variety to choose from, like calzones, dinners, wings, and subs all for such cheap prices, what could go wrong? On our quest to find a good, neighborhood pizza joint, we stopped at Family Pizza to give it a try. Although we thought the pizza was okay, it didn't stand out as anything special. We ordered a medium with onion, mushroom and sausage. On the plus side, the mushrooms were fresh (I HATE canned mushrooms on pizza) and the dough chewy. On the down side, we thought the sauce was too sweet for our taste and bland. Although the crust was decent, we think we've decided we prefer it thinner and crispier...Neapolitan style. Had delivery the other day and they were there way before expected - which is always good! There is nothing worse than wanting a good pizza(Family Pizza) and not being able to find one!! This is a family owned pizza place, and the owner is a great guy, even recognizes me when I see him there, even after years of being gone!! They told me about 30 minutes and I got my food an hour and a half later. The order was wrong and cold. The woman taking my order was also very rude. She had an issue with telling me how much my order was and then got even more upset with me because I asked how long it was going to take. I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo pizza the other night and found it to be one of the best pizza's I've ever had. 20ish minutes after I ordered on eat street the pizza showed up hot and fresh. That was my second time ordering from here The first time was on the superbowl and that time I got wings and a bbq chicken Hawaiian. That pizza was also great. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am! We ordered delivery of ravioli w/eggplant and the fisherman's platter. The ravioli plate was wrapped in plastic wrap to ensure a solid delivery and keep everything where it needed to be. And with the fisherman's platter, the fries were packaged separately from the fish. Family pizza is a typical pizza joint but the food and service surpass most other restaurants of the same style. My coworkers and I order pizza from here often: eggplant (always crispy and plentiful) broccoli, spinach and garlic on a transitional pizza!! It is honestly super delicious and we probably order it a few times a month. For three of us a small is fine and a medium leaves us with a few left over prices. Their pizza is DEFINATLY larger then a lot of other places. There wraps and subs are good too but nothing to right home about but the pizza is my favorite. EXPECT UP-CHARGING!! We ordered an 18" buffalo chicken pizza with bleu cheese $17.99, teriyaki chicken on syrian with cheese $7.25, large steak fries $4.25, and large onion rings $4.50. These are the prices on their current website. The man on the phone said 25 minutes. got there 5 minutes early and had to wait 20 minutes. The man started typing prices quickly into the cash register, which has no codes, he just types in whatever price he wants. He charged $19.99 for the pizza PLUS $2.75 for the tiny bit of bleu cheese they added, $7.50 for the sub plus $1.00 for cheese(their site says $0.50 for cheese), and I'm not sure how much he charged for the fries and onion rings, but the total came to $44.67!! Also, our sub didn't come on syrian like we had asked and it was soaked in sauce and the bread was mushy. The sub was inedible, but the pizza and sides were decent. read more
