    Regular waffle fries
    Sarah D.

Food is decent but I'm not wowed. Pretty happy they have gluten free pizza, but dominoes is better. It reminded me of Little Caesar's or a frozen pizza, because the crust tasted a bit like cardboard. I've had gluten free pizzas at many places before where the crust is thinner and doesn't taste like that. However, it was satisfying enough. I suggest the loaded waffle fries which have great portions and are enough for 2 to share. The people I was with ordered chicken tenders which were also great portions. It was a little frustrating at first trying to order on the phone because it kept saying "your call could not be completed" or there was a busy signal. I think it's because they were so busy which was understandable. If I was in the area I'd probably order again.

Huge Greek salad with chicken, yum!

Moved recently and this is my new go to pizza joint but for more than just pizza! I also love their Greek wrap and their Greek salad - which is so massive I get 2 meals out of it! They give plenty of feta for this feta lover. Also try their chicken tenders, some of the best I've had. Don't know if they make their own dressings but those are also yummy! All around a great place to go :) I would also prefer to support this small local business over a food chain.

Yo Dowg, so check it out! Sadly, The Dowg Shack closed over a year ago (miss it, wah!!!), BUT Pizzaroma opened up in the former Dowg Shack space. The place was completely renovated into a casual restaurant, which has an order/takeout counter and high top table and "fast food style" hard booth seating with flatscreen TVs at the front and back of the dining area. The menu offerings include pizza, calzones, subs, wraps, burgers, appetizers, salads, pasta dinners, chicken, sirloin tips, bagged Lay chips, and drinks from the cooler (Pepsi products). The prices are reasonable. See the menu and pricing (PDF) at http://www.pizzaromanh.com/menu.pdf I ordered from Pizzaroma recently. It took me a couple minutes to decide which specialty pizza I was going to order since the 20 choices sounded pretty appetizing including the 10 Topper, Firecracker, Ballpark, and Chicago. I decided to go with a small 12" Chicago Pizza ($11.22 with tax) and it took about 20 minutes to be ready, as I watched some Red Sox highlights on the TV. The Chicago Pizza came out really good! This Chicago pizza is not deep dish like at Uno Chicago Grill, but this version was made with a thin soft crust, with crispy thicker edges folded up, cheese & oil on first, topped with sausage, roasted peppers (green, red, yellow), and a thick chunky zesty tomato sauce. The pizza was a bit messy to eat and very tasty and filling to eat. 2 good slices was enough for one meal. I'd order the Chicago pizza again, but on my next visit, I would like to try Mediterranean Chicken pizza. FREE DELIVERY: $10 minimum

    Specialty Steak Pizza from Pizzaroma

Pizzaroma is one of my favorite Greek-style pizza restaurants. We drive up from Nashua, and the easiest way to get to the place is to take route 3 to exit 11. Take a right and the restaurant is just around the corner. The food is fantastic. We've tried a number of pizza specialties and loved them all. The specialty steak has loads of steak, onions, and peppers (see picture). The loaded waffle fries are crisp and full of goodies. The restaurant has lots of space - wide booths, clean, and a flat screen TV. The staff is friendly and helpful at answering questions.

They specialize in *everything sourdough*, and it shows. The pizza was so delicious. I ordered the Hawaiian and my husband built his own with white sauce with greens and Italian sausage. Both were so flavorful, perfectly balanced, and baked to that ideal sourdough crisp-chewy combo. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. But here's the real win: it was actually good for my gut. I usually feel heavy or uncomfortable after pizza, but not this time. Their sourdough truly makes a difference: I left satisfied instead of sluggish, which feels like a miracle. We also found out the owner, Karen, used to be a chef in Irvine, CA, and honestly... it makes sense. There's a clear SoCal flair in the ingredients and overall vibe, and I'm so glad she brought that creativity and quality to my hometown. So glad I got to stop by this place. If you appreciate food made with real intention, you must stop by too. I'll be back the next time I travel back to the east coast.

Despite being nearly 6 miles from my house, it can be worth the deviation from my routine stop at the 7-11 on Amherst. Apropos of this, there's a little place I happened to spot along the way which, upon first appearance, seems like a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint known only as....Billy's Famous Pizza. After researching their menu courtesy of Yelp, I naturally had to go in and check this place out. Despite the very modest size of the pizza joint itself (not to mention the diminutive dining area), the menu is larger than the average local pizza joint. This place has all the essentials: wings, burgers, chicken sammiches, pizza (obviously), copious types of sides, not to mention almost any classification of subs you could think of. On this day, I decided to debut with my all time favorite sub - the steak & cheese. The best way I could describe this style of sandwich is a tube sub. If you saw the pic, you know what I'm talking about. But don't let its subtle appearance of subterfuge fool you. Because this sub is packed with plenty of meat and various vegetative innards of your choosing. Not to mention, they have a much more "beefed up" version known as "the steak bomb", if you're into that sort of thing. Now then, taste wise...I'd wager this sub is on par with D'Angelo (or Papa Gino's if you nasty). So, whilst not quite earth shattering, it's about a 7 out of 10 for me. I also tried the fries, which...they offer you plenty of in a brown paper bag. Actually...they double bagged it for good measure. Anyways, these were passable and innocuous enough to warrant a 7 out of 10 as well. I'd like to personally offer a shout-out to the incredibly cordial and friendly staff who served me that day. The counter ladies were wicked friendly and even addressed me by my name. Always a sweet touch! As you can probably imagine, this place is best for take-away rather than dining in. Though, the latter option is perfectly fine, so long as you arrive during a slow afternoon toward the middle or end of the week as I did. Near as I can figure, there's maybe 5 or 6 small tables in there, at best. In any event, I'd highly recommend take-away over dining in. One day I shall return. At which point, I wouldn't mind trying out some of their wings or perhaps even a tuna salad sub if I'm so audacious. For now, Billy's Famous Pizza gets 4 well packed cheesesteak tube subs out of 5.
