Let's get this place on the map! Karen is a first class chef, serving in well known places in San Diego. She's branched off and really created something special. A farm to fork experience. We were able to customize our sourdough pizza, about 14" in size, and let's just say between my wife and her parents (4 people) the pizza was so good, we should have gotten a third. (Some devoured 4 slices). Even after the meal, we didn't feel heavy or bloated, which is a miracle for lactose intolerant people, but fresh ingredients can overcome such things. The store it self is like a farmers market in a hole in the wall store. Highly recommend!

Delicious garlic, spinach, artichoke sourdough pizza!!! This is the Hollis Harvest Pizza! So tasty!! I recommend the red sauce.

Delicious garlic, spinach, artichoke sourdough pizza!!! This is the Hollis Harvest Pizza! So tasty!! I recommend the red sauce. Definitely ordering this again! Actually I don't think there is a pizza in there that wouldn't merit a repeat! Cheers to the chef and employees for always delivering :)

Leftovers: 3 slices of the POM, 2 slices of Margherita, and 1 slice of the chicken parm.

Got pizza here on the last night of a winter vacation visit, the pizzas were excellent. Not as thin as neapolitan; but importantly the sourdough crust while thicker was firm but not difficult to chew. The edge has pockets of air and gets crispy and bubbly in places. The sauce and cheese are added in good ratios- only had red sauces on our selections: the Margherita, the POM (peppers, onions, mushrooms), and the chicken parm pizzas. Red sauce was delicious. One thing that was nice is that while these feel like neapolitan style, the thicker pie meant they hadn't gotten cold by the time i got them home. This will be my go-to for pizza whenever i'm in town.

Great made from scratch kitchen, the sourdough pizza is really good, I reheat it in the frying pan and it's delicious.

It's a little small inside, but there was no wait for a table and we sat ourselves as instructed (we ended up being asked to move to a smaller table as we sat at the only table available when we arrived and it was a 5 top; we were happy to move). The coffee was excellent and I chose the Sue's Hash Omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast. The toast was a little cold, but the omelet and hash browns were tasty and perfectly seasoned. My partner will write his own review, but he enjoyed his waffle as well! The service was great with an attentive and friendly waitress, and we're ready for a return visit!

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

This spacious restaurant with full bar offers chonky margaritas, complimentary chips with fresh salsa, and an extensive menu packed with authentic Mexican dishes. Gluten-free galore! Queso Dip and Esquites accompanied by fresh cucumber margaritas made for a savory and sweet jump off. For dinner, the Quesabirria was tender and juicy, complimented by a generously sized bowl of flavorful consommé for dipping. Black beans and rice side dish hit the spot. Went with two different parties and everyone cherished their food + drink! Valentina was a gracious host and our master mixologist both nights. Lose the addresses of those old chains... It was a Friday night and surprisingly pretty empty, which honestly I didn't mind at all because it made for a more relaxed experience. The ambiance was actually really nice for a casual night out. Since it wasn't busy, there wasn't a lot of noise, just light music playing in the background, and we could actually hear ourselves talk without yelling across the table. Ironically, even though I came looking for tacos, I didn't order any . We ended up getting the chicken quesadilla and the Enchiladas Lokas, and both dishes were delicious. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and satisfying. For drinks, we tried the house margarita and a tamarind margarita. I specifically asked about the tamarind because I really like that flavor and wanted it to come through more. While the margarita itself was good, the tamarind flavor kind of got lost along the way. One thing that definitely stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, helpful, and checked in on us throughout the night. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back, maybe next time I'll finally order the tacos
