I ordered a chicken gyro and received what was basically a grilled chicken breast sub in a pita wrap. They seem unacquainted with actual gyro meat. The sandwich was delicious, so no complaints there. This place is just horrible. Nice people, food just sucks! We ordered a steak and cheese, teriyaki chicken subs, one bag of chips, 2 drinks, the total was 33 dollars! So now,, I'm expecting for that price, the subs were going to be full of meat, and great tasting. Well I got neither. No flavor what so ever, and hardly any meat at all. I'd give it zero stars if I could. It took someone forever to come to the counter. I ordered fish and chips and after waiting for forever, they gave me a calzone. So I had to wait for them to remake me order. Then after all of that, they charged me for condiments!!!! Smh When I go to eat my food, the fries were cold and the fish didn't seem cooked at all. Very average pizza, which deserves a solid 2 stars! But it is cheap! That is worth an extra star and that is where I would have left it (3 stars). But then... the game at the register began! I showed the gentleman behind the counter Lyons Card, he took it, looked it over and said "OK". Then, proceeded to charge me the normal price (hoping I didn't notice it). So I pointed it out that with discount it should be less. He: "What did the card say?" "$17 for two large cheese pizzas", He: "what did you get?" "One cheese and one pepperoni" He: "pepperoni is extra" "Sure, but not $5 extra, you charged me regular price" He: "you had to tell me that you have card when you order, it is a different transaction!" Mind you, this was an old, analog register and he rang up the order AFTER I showed him the card! So he tried three things: 1. Said OK to discount and hoped it didn't notice that I didn't get it. 2. Said that extra money was for pepperoni 3. Finally, he said that you have to present discount when ordering on the phone. Had he started with #3, I would have been fine (not happy about it, but fine), it is the fact that he tried two other tactics that cost him two stars and motivated me write this review. Love hate relationship with this place. Don't really like their pizza cuz they use a sweeter sauce and that's just not my thing. The calzones are AMAZING. I tried this place after reading the last review. We ordered a large pizza and a steak and cheese with veggies. Now since those are two of my favorite foods, I usually love most that I try. But the pizza really didn't have much flavor at all. I had to dip it in a lot of Ranch. And the cheese steak was pretty blah as well. We are not sweet sauce fans, and Brothers is one of the few places that does not do overly sweet tomato sauce on the pizzas, subs, etc. It is Greek style, and the crust is typical of the style but not too bready. The crust edges are yummy. There's sufficient toppings to go along with the cheese. The calzones are tasty, too. The Greek salad is decent (but eat the pita bread quickly, it gets hard if you let it linger). Brothers is our favorite local pizza shop in Chelmsford. We usually have it delivered, and it's always good and warm (we're 3mi away). The folks behind the counter are always friendly. Delivery times are typically 30 minutes or so (rarely much longer than indicated over the phone). read more

This is my second visit to Brothers Gourmet Pizzeria for an impromptu lunch as I had other business in the area. The place is clean and simply decorated with three tasteful prints framed on a main wall by Ansel Adams. During both visits, I was surprised by the quiet and was the only customer for about 20 minutes. A few of people came in after that, grabbing takeout orders and received fast and efficient service (I'm guessing they were "regulars"). The place has an endearing "commitment to the community" vibe to it. At the entrance there is a rack of complimentary local magazines on parenting and lifestyle in the area, containers for donations for the International Union of Police Associations, a walk to end Alzheimer's, a box of Reese's, Oreos, watermelon candy, chocolate covered raisins one could buy for $2 as a benefit to the National Brain Tumor Society. Besides the regular trash cans, there are receptacles for both plastic and can recycling (for your soda, juice, water, ice tea bottles). There is a blackboard listing lunch specials. There is a comprehensive take-out menu; gift certificates, catering and hot party platters. "Free Delivery All Day", only in Chelmsford, though. At the counter is a notice to please inform them if you have a food allergy. It is air conditioned and there is a TV they kindly turned up for me to catch CNN news that was on (I'm hard of hearing). The first time I visited, this past summer, I had a steak and cheese sub, and it was good; they have yummy baklava for desert (but no milk). Today I had the spinach pie for $4.50, and I was impressed that my slice took up most of my paper plate. It was delicious and served to me promptly at my table soon after I placed my order. I had a Powerade and baklava again and the total came to just over $10, they accepted my debit card, I thought the prices were reasonable. The woman at the counter was friendly and efficient, there was one man in the back, open, orderly appearing kitchen. It doesn't appear there are public restrooms, but I didn't ask (it's a relatively small place (8 tables for 2 and 5 booths). It's in quite convenient location of a strip mall, and there is more than ample parking. Menu offerings include specialty pizzas, calzones, egg subs, cold subs, club sandwiches, rolls, hot subs, wraps, panini, fried or baked seafood, pasta, dinners served with choice of 2 sides and a kid's menu. This is our favorite local pizza place. I can't count the number of times we have gotten take out here. Like some of the other places in the area, they don't take credit cards. Their pizza is some of the best that I have had in the area (How did the Greeks take over pizza in MA???). They offer a "diet" pizza, which is pizza on a pita like bread that is pretty tasty and can satiate the urge for pizza while cutting out some calories. They also have a buffalo chicken sandwich that is spicy, but very very good. read more

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews but I am very unhappy with the quality of food I received. The pizza was so horrible that I had to throw away the pizza... Crust was stale and crumbling... Anchovies were frightening and not to mention there was some type of bone or sharp object in the pizza. Do anchovies even have bones? The mozzarella sticks tasted like store bought freezer brand that I could've easily grabbed at the supermarket. They had no flavor and came with a marinara sauce the size of a packet of ketchup. Calzone is just pizza with a top crust, right? I'm conflicted. Got a sub from here, which had some of the best bread I've tasted in this state, almost like what I used to get back in PA and Jersey, but not quite. However...I asked for oil and vinegar, no cheese. Got cheese. No O/V. Glad I checked, being lactose intolerant. I might try them again, maybe I caught them at a bad time. The food is pretty good quality overall, and we especially like their calzones, which are made differently from every other place we've tried - generous with cheese and fillings on top of the dough.
