Just Ok. Not open long so I will give them a pass on the slow service. At least a half dozen employees behind the counter and food took longer than it should have. We got a bowl. (Tiny) And the big chicken kahuna? The kahuna had a good taste, but a regular for just under $10.00 seemed small. It did taste good but again nothing to make me want to go back. $20.00 for two small portions, no sides, no drinks. You can get better at a local sub shop or deli and you will be keeping your money local. Give it try and judge for yourself. read more

Cannot beat the subs and the convenience. Good people working too! Nice place to eat in or eat out when in a rush.

The "Sub in a tub" was fantastic with nice freshly sliced meat and tons of toppings. Of all the fast food options in Maynard this is by far my favorite. Friendly staff, clean tables and feel good music playing on the radio. I didn't receive any of the negative experiences others did and will be back again soon. read more

Absolute rip off. Right across the street you can get a large steak and cheese at market basket for 6.50 instead of 20 something dollars at jersey mikes HA. 10 people behind the counter and how long can it take to make a sam damwich? Don't really get it.

Not cool is finding tuna fish in your soda cup when you ordered another type of sandwich. Unfortunately it wasn't discovered until the drive home. The first sip I thought it couldn't have happened, but it was discovered at least twice on the way home. I grabbed a cup from the stack that was left out. I can't imagine a customer purposely doing that as they were in a corner by the soda. Why not hand them out instead from the counter like most other places do? Today's visit was my first and last time there. It was so gross, and I hope I don't get sick. read more

We passed this on our trips to the adjacent Market Basket, but never went until November or December (I forget which) 2022, in the middle of one of our annual nights-long holiday lightseeing drives. We expected a Subway clone, but Jersey Mike's turned out to be far better. Since then, we've been there for lunch occasionally and dinner consistently. The breads used are tasty and crunchy by themselves; they're better still when toasted. The melted cheese oozes through the prime steak shreds to create a palate-pleasing, gooey-chewy texture. Paired with the toasty bread, and you have a sandwich worthy of New Jersey AND Philadelphia (we ate Philly Cheese Steaks in Philly itself before going to Eastern State's Halloween event, so we should know). Subs aren't for everyone, but if they're for you, by all means head on over to the Jersey Mike's in Maynard, Massachusetts! read more

Recently I saw a POV video on Tiktok of someone making an italian sub in a sub shop. At the end of the video I could see it was a Jersey Mike's. The portions were generous and the quality looked good as well. Then I saw another video where someone was eating their favorite Jersey Mike's sub and was giving details on what they ordered. It also looked amazing. It occurred to me that we now have one of these stores close to my home. It's in Maynard, MA at the Maynard Crossing and is relatively new. So I tried it, and the Italian I got lived up to expectations. The quality and size of the meat portions is so much more and better than say Jimmy John's or Subway. I have continued to have nice sandwiches from this store. My regular sized (not large) Italian was a very substantial meal and just under $11. I have had a chicken cheese steak that I also enjoyed, but I prefer the cold subs right now. This was great value for money to me. Best of luck to the folks who have this store franchise. read more

Food was ok, service was lacking. Will try again another day. Not what I was expecting, but was ok

I went in expecting a good sub. Placed my order, gave them a tip, then they made the sub wrong. I went back in and pointed out their mistake. The manager on duty, fat and unkempt, handed me a bottle of mayo and some bacon to make my own sub. Without thinking I tried it, then insisted that they make it. They didn't respond at first, so I started getting agitated. Wanting to maintain civility, I raised my voice, yet stayed polite. They made the sub. Overly concerned with not burning a bridge I remained polite and respectful even when confronted with such rudeness and bad customer service; perhaps inappropriately so. Andrew M has the most accurate review on here. The same guy that he is talking about is the one that I am referencing in my review. I seriously don't think I am ever going back here after going a few times the past 2 weeks. Here's the story of my first bad experience. I waited for over 30 minutes for a turkey and roast beef club sub. I ordered it ahead for pickup on the app and even waited 10 or so minutes before going in. It wasn't ready so I waited in the store. I waited and waited. People came in, ordered and left before I even got my sub. By the time the guy handed me my sub I was literally the last person in the store. I open my sub up and it's the wrong bread and there's heavy lettuce on it. Again, not a huge deal. I still gave a tip and thanked the guy because it was the right thing to do. I respect all food service employees and regardless of the experience I still tip However, tonight is really where I took issue with how I was treated. I decided to try one of the buffalo chicken cheesesteaks and ordered ahead and included my tip in the order. I once again waited after I got there. They said they were still making it. While I'm waiting, I overhear the younger kid on the grill tell the guy that he made my sub wrong and that was the reason for the wait. He must have put lettuce and tomato on it when I specifically specified neither in the app. I ignored it and didn't say anything because it's not that big of a deal. Finally, I get handed my sub. I notice right away that it is stone cold. I literally thought that he gave me the wrong sub because it wasn't hot at all. I opened it and right away it looked like they used steak instead of chicken. Turns out it was actually chicken (I think) but it was so dark (I guess because the grill was dirty or they burned it) that it literally looked like steak. There was nothing "buffalo chicken" about this sub. I go back in and ask if this is actually a buffalo chicken sub and I'm immediately met with passive aggressive and sarcastic tone in his response to me. Not the way to treat a customer that has been extremely patient with you every time I've encountered you even though you've never made me what I ordered. I knew the sub was already cold and basically inedible after what I looked at. I am so beyond disappointed and I just wanted a location with consistent service and food. read more

Italian sub. Bread is tasteless and falls apart. Oil and vinegar DRENCHED THE SUB - MADE A REAL MESS - oil low quality - taste like vegetable oil. I watched the sub being made and had to laugh because all I could think about was sloths behind the counter - not kidding - not one iota of hustle from the staff that was more interested in joking around with each other. we got sandwiches at jersey mikes and was very disappointed. they did not have a lot of taste and my italian sub was only ham and a couple pieces of pepperoni. my wife and nephew were also not happy. it seems to be the way of all these 'chain' restaurants. i'm used to the 'old school' type subshops which kinda don't exist anymore. i won't be returning and will make my sandwiches at home because i can make them way better myself. read more

I stopped by the new Jersey Mike's at Maynard Crossing to find out when they are opening. Official opening is Wednesday, October 5th. Not only did they provide me their menu, they gave me 2 subs. A Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Big Kahuna. The chicken bacon ranch was really nice. Crispy bacon and quite tasty. Gave the Big Kahuna to my vegetarian son. They also provided coupons to get a free regular sub when you donate to the Maynard Food Pantry. A damn nice gesture. Welcome Jersey Mike's!!! read more

My original review vanished so I'm writing another one. Went in on a Sunday night to the Maynard shop and saw 10 people that looked under the age of 17. Took forever to get a sub. Wished I had looked at it before I left as it was unacceptable to say the least. A chicken sub with so little chicken I had to look closely to see whether there was any meat on the sub. It looked like tiny scraps of chicken mixed in with mayo. Guessing a tablespoon of chicken on this sad sub. One piece of bacon broken in pieces, no dressing, two tiny slices of tomato and no cheese. Only good thing was the roll. $9.50 for basically nothing. read more
