I'm going to be controversial and say this is better than Terry Blacks! The Texas brisket was beautifully smoked with a little bit of char on the outside and incredibly moist inside and so tender. This is simply world class barbecue. Hubba's is consistent. I've been there several times and I've enjoyed the ribs, the chicken and the very well crafted pulled pork. The sides are wonderful. The baked beans are some of the best I've had anywhere. The coleslaw is authentic and fresh. The team at Hubba's is awesome. Friendly and helpful. Sometimes it gets a little busy, but sit back listen to the blues that are playing. Find a seat at a picnic table nearby and enjoy the experience. If I could eat there every day, I would. The bar/restaurant line was not too long and it moved quickly. We had kettle popcorn, hot dogs, beers and cider. These were good and there were so many options; pizza, beer, ice cream, salad, nachos, etc. They are also a pick your own farm; from strawberries, flowers, pumpkins, apples, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, it all depends on the season. After waiting an hour and a half and still no food, I asked for a refund. They did not give us a receipt of the refund, however and said it would be credited at the end of the day. The food itself was enjoyable. The agave-glazed wings were the best out of all our meals. Charred, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The brisket was tender and well prepared, and while the burnt ends were cooked nicely, they were a bit sweeter than my personal preference. Unfortunately, the apple cider vinaigrette for the salad didn't agree with us afterward, although that may simply come down to individual sensitivity.
