Ordered from here for lunch and got the Crazy Caprese, which was pretty good (enjoyed how the mozzarella, balsamic, and arugula went together) but may have been better toasted. I also tried the clam chowder which was a little sour and not quite on par with other chowders I've had from nearby restaurants. I'm not sure if this would be a top choice for me to order from again, but I would try this place again. I like the variety of sandwiches they have available. read more

We love Vin Bin! We frequent often and my favorite is the Angry Italian. My husband changes what he gets frequently but tends to lean towards getting the Townie. Their clam chowder is *chefs kiss* as is their Butternut Squash soup when it's in season. I will say, though, if the Irate Irishman is ever on special, run - do not walk to get it. The service was nice, which is why they got two stars, but the sandwich was awful. I got a meatball sub and it did feel warm when they handed it to me, I was under the impression that they made the subs per order. I don't think that's true When I unwrapped the sub the cheese was congealed, the meatballs were not hot and there was no signature sauce. read more

I'm sorry to say this place is going downhill, it was the best sandwich place in the area. All of sudden the tuna got salty, the staff got sloppy and treat their customers like they're idiots. Twice now I've asked for extra pickles in an online order and was rewarded with no pickles at all in return, on a tuna bacon cheddar. Now I have a spicy Cuban, one of my favorite sandwiches yet they substituted the regular pork with a cured deli meat(look it's pink). I'm sure it is pork but the flavor and texture difference means I won't finish it. And I'm a big guy known to finish my food. If you don't have the ingredients 86 the sandwich! I'm a forgiving person but the pattern isn't looking good over the course of weeks. read more

Been to the Vin Bin many many times, maybe too many times. Got the chick n ridiculous to split and two chowders, a clam because usually it's good there.. and buffalo chicken chowder, because I've never tried it. my boyfriend said sandwich, was dry! Clam Chowder - I don't know what I was eating, besides the clam here and there, it was like slimy cheesy butter and oil and honestly I lost my appetite. When you walk in, you are stopped by some large chest high wall, on the other side of this wall it looks like it was once a bar or serving area and now it is just clutter appearing to be a mess... Both my guest and I ordered The Ruben sandwich The corned beef was good, the sandwiches were both cold- the corned beef was cold and the Swiss cheese not melted. To me the Ruben should be hot. Ordered the Townie and I WAS BLOWN AWAY! I've never had roast beef this tender and not dry. The Northeast does not play with their roast beef. The horseradish mayo paired so well in the sandwich and gave it a nice kick. I was visiting from out of state so I had to order the clam chowder, and this was my first Massachusetts clam chowder I tried and it was packed with so much clams! The clams were not chewy and overcooked. It was super soft, almost like an oyster texture. I loved it! Only thing was that it was a tad salty. I got the Angry Italian sandwich, which was delicious only they forgot the provolone. I asked for no mayo or mortadella so thats also why it looks a bit thin in the picture. I only wish I had asked for extra lettuce! My boyfriend got the Firehouse Smoked Turkey, his had provolone on it. Cashier was kind and let me know they were out of a couple things right away, which helped me choose my sandwich. Awesome sandwiches. Based on what I saw I am not sure that you will find anything that is not good. I had the Ruben ( they make their own corned beef) and spicy tortilla soup, both were excellent. My buddy had the smoked turkey which he also enjoyed. They were out of the meatball, next time. Eclectic mix of cheeses, unusual grocery items and extensive selection of wines. All of the sandwiches I've tried have been great, though personally partial to the Crazy Caprese. Be sure to check out the rotating salads and daily soups, which feature seasonal local produce and creative flavor/texture combinations (case-in-point with the current "street corn salad", which marries elements of Mexican and Mediterranean cuisines). When the cooler seasons come around, the butternut squash soup (with pepitas and smoked maple ricotta) is an absolute must-have; best rendition of the autumn/winter classic I've tasted anywhere. Big props to the owners and staff for persevering through the trials and tribulations of the past couple years, adapting to the constantly changing situation, finding ways to serve the community and keep everyone safe, and still showing up every day with smiling (or smizing) faces for their customers and for each other. When I don't know what to get, I always come back for that. But they have lots of choices and always good stuff on their specials board, so I always keep my eye out for that. My husband and I came here for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We really loved the vibe here and we're excited to be taking a break from unpacking in our new place around the corner! The Farmers sandwich is delicious. I love the flavors, especially the fig spread and the apple slices. We've been back several times for food, snacks and of course getting something to drink to bring home. The Vin Bin has a huge selection of liquor, beer and wine we love coming here to bring home some new and local beer getting to try different things. The Vin Bin has the Italian Deli thing going here with a good choice of sandwiches, a few higher end drinks, a great selection of chips and sides. And of course, they have a huge selection of bottled wine but that's not why I was here. I had the Firehouse Turkey sandwich, which was a super tasty panini sandwich. My review is for the cafe portion. This is a fabulous local spot! They have a great selection of sandwiches, fresh housemade soups and salads. They also sell really good quality chips and natural cold teas and beverages. Their sandwiches have a good amount of meat and the flavor combinations are perfect. I have tried the angry Italian and corned beef. The corned beef was perfectly flavorful and not fatty at all. They also didn't overdo it with sauerkraut. They do not put it on rye bread so if you are a traditionalist it might not be for you. The angry Italian has a good kick but not over-powerful. Their homemade soups are the things dreams are made of. If you are soup lover you will never want soup from anywhere else after having theirs! I had the chicken soup with red wine and cream of mushroom recently. They were both mouthwatering and left you wanting to lick the bowl. If they were open during dinner time I would've been back. I have also used them for delivered catering for a work meeting. Working with Mike via email was easy and he was very accommodating. They brought in sandwiches, chips and a custom made pasta salad for our meeting with 20 people. The delivery was on time and in the perfect containers to serve it. The delivery drive was awesome and even offered to help me get it to the meeting room. read more

Ah... the Vin Bin. Sometimes I head to TJ's for some "Chuck," but if I want to treat myself, I'll head over to the Vin Bin. They always seem to have a selection of great wines at various price points and they often have tastings (every Friday night, at least!), which is never a bad thing either! But the Vin Bin is more than just great wine. They have this delightful bread and cheese counter where you can get all the fancy snacks to go with wine you'll ever want. They even have homemade cheese spreads! Also, they have a couple of cold beer fridges toward the back of the store that house delightful microbrews. If I didn't have a mortgage, I'd be in here every night. The Vin Bin is definately a treat, and, although it is in Marlborough (as am I, usually), I would say this place is worth a drive to check out. It's intimate, yet perfectly lit and feels spacious at the same time, and the staff seems to always be friendly. (They sell some nice cigars too... and gift baskets.) read more

I always order the Reuben from this restaurant. I've never stepped in this cafe as I usually order from my office, if I order out. Whenever I am having a rough day, I usually order this. Warning; this is a heavy sandwich. It makes it a little harder to go through the day, but the comfort and taste are a definite spirit lifter when you are having a rough time and definitely make it worth it. The sandwich counter offers a variety of options ranging from a fallafel wrap to a BBQ chicken sandwich to a Caprese Panini.
