I am so happy this place finally opened! The inside is very nice and spotless! They have a few tables to sit at but is setup mostly as a grab and go type of bakery. They have cases of Brazilian pastries and also a case of fried Brazilian snacks. They had a great selection at 8AM today. They also have some sandwiches and other items available to order. Brazilian style coffee, two fresh juices ready to pour and a machine to make fresh orange juice. I tried the pao de quiejo (cheese bread), coxinha with chicken and cheese and the fried chicken on a kebob - everything was really good and very fresh.

I totally love this place for their savory snacks. My favs being beef and chicken stuffed pastry. Staff members are helpful and service with a smile.

Cream filled donut hole. A bit dry..but tasty. Coconut flakes on outside.

2nd time here. All Brazilian staff..surprise. definitely translation issues. Ordered a ham egg and cheese sandwich and got 1 ham and egg and 1 cheese sandwich. Overall though good experience. Place is bright and clean. Food is good. Coffee is good and hot. Hot food comes out quickly. Their "donut hole" is bigger than a big mac. See picture.

Look good, but for the most part, disappointing.

You walk in and are greeted with only a table number and a point into the other room. Which is fine except once you get there you have no idea what to do next. The plates are around a corner along with the silverware and napkins. So you have to first find them. After that you go get the buffet food and then find the place with the meat. Finally when you stand there looking like you are lost with a plate of food they will call you to a register to pay $12.99 a lb or all you can eat for $26.99. We chose all you can eat because we love Brazilian and knew we would be back for some more of that delicious meat. It was ok at best. The bacon chicken and garlic steak were the standouts. Everything else was under seasoned or very dry. My husband kept saying how little effort they put in to everything. No salt and pepper on tables. No napkins nearby. No one comes and takes plates or checks on you. You are just left to figure it out yourself. There are plenty of better places that I would choose over this one.

It even has a fireplace which I imagine is a cozy addition in the winter. If you're lucky, you might even hear the commuter rail rush by during your meal. The service at the restaurant is great with the servers being incredibly attentive. To start us off, we were given a bowl of cheese bread - these were addictive and super tasty! I had to control myself and turn down the offer of another round because I didn't want to get too full on bread alone. As for the meat, servers make rounds around the dining room with various grilled meats that they cut off for you right at the table. They come by every few minutes so you will never be left waiting long. My personal favorite was the top sirloin! I do wish there were some more exotic options, such as chicken gizzards / hearts as I've had at other Brazilian restaurants. The buffet area had some good dishes. I appreciated the salad section and side dishes to help offset the heaviness of the meat. I do wish that the buffet area was larger and had more variety, but overall I was happy with my food. I did feel that the restaurant was a bit expensive and was a little disappointed to see that there were no free dessert offerings included in the buffet price. I would come back but only for truly special occasions as it was pricer than other AYCE places I've been.

"There's one thing I'm certain of Return, I will, to old…read moreBrazil" (Frank Sinatra) I've been to a few Brazilian steakhouses over the years, but I'm not really sure I've ever been to a full-blown real deal Brazilian restaurant before we had lunch at Boteco do Manolo yesterday. I say "real deal Brazilian" because the restaurant chain has 12 locations in Brazil, concentrated in Rio de Janeiro shopping centers. The Framingham location is one of the seven located in the U.S. Our server was a young man from Brazil, and since it was our first visit, he spent a lot of time going through their large menu. The restaurant serves family style portions (which are quite large), regular sized portions, appetizers, meat/chicken/seafood entrees, pasta and rice dishes, and a lunch menu. We both went to the lunch menu and ordered a special at $19.90 each. I went with the Peixe Grelhado (Grilled Mahi-Mahi Filet in a caper-butter sauce) served with a mountain of mixed vegetables, white rice and black beans. Seriously, that was a lot of food and much too much for a lunch, so half of it sits in my refrigerator as we speak. There were bottles of olive oil, olive oil with hot peppers, and Tabasco on the table, plus packets of mayonnaise. Those hot peppers nestled in the oil caught my eye, so I cautiously sprinkled some on my plate, and I was glad I was so cautious because it was damned hot (but yummy). My wife ordered the Frango Com Salada (Grilled Chicken Breast with salad) served with white rice, pico de gallo, and black beans. After we ordered, Alex came back to our table and said the lettuce intended for the salad didn't pass his inspection, so he offered us a different side order. We ordered French Fries instead. My fish and my wife's chicken were excellent. They were good-sized portions that were well seasoned and well cooked. My rice and beans were very good and that big pile of vegetables really went well with that volcanic pepper oil. Club soda was a very reasonable $2, so our big lunch ran $42 before tip with plenty of leftovers. If you're ever in the mood to enjoy, or try Brazilian food, travel to Framingham if you can't make it to Rio de Janeiro!

You know what came up when I Googled "veggie burger in Hudson"?…read more Gauchao Burgers. A Brazilian burger place where their burgers are the size of Trump's ego, and the toppings are so messy you legit need to eat it in a bathtub. The last time I had one of these incredible concoctions, my deck looked like the buffet station after a wedding. I HIGHLY doubted that a place which prided itself on beef, layered with beef, with 20 slabs of bacon on top was going to actually offer veggie burgers...but they did! And I was dying to see what the Brazilian burger version of a veggie burger might be. $18 for a veggie burger with no sides (before tip) felt a little steep, until I lifted the bag and almost gave myself tendonitis. This thing was DENSE. The woman asked me if I wanted an extra side of "green sauce." I had no idea what it was, but I'm all about weird sauces so I nodded yes. I got home, and opened it up. The roll for this thing was massive, and lightly sweet. It was sloppy, in the best way: covered in that green sauce, with tons of cheese, a whole tomato, and raw onion. The veggie patty itself was huge, made from scratch, filled with carrots and peas. I don't normally love veggie burgers where you can see all the ingredients, but this one was REALLY good. It was also...almost an afterthought. Remember back in the day, when Burger King offered "veggie Whoppers"? And really, it was just a Whopper without the burger, but with all the other ingredients aside from that? This was kind of like that: the sweet bread, delicious cheese, and incredible sauce tasted so great together, you didn't really care about the actual burger. I would absolutely go back for another one of these, and if my gallbladder could still handle a giant burger without retribution? I'd be there all the time. For you burger lovers: this place is a must-go. Even if you're not a beef fan, their chicken sandwiches are next level. Gauchao is tucked away on a side street filled with triple deckers, a total hidden gem. You'll never simply stumble upon it, even though it's only 4 minutes from Hudson center. Go. You won't regret it.
