    Carrot, Mushroom Sandwich, Potato Salad

I have been to the stores in Burlington and Newton, and both are great. This is my favorite though, because it's always quiet and I can get my order fast and sometimes talk to the people who work there. They make one heckuva great sandwich in a pita pocket, lots of variety, something for everyone, mostly very healthy. Today I got the sunchoke mushroom sandwich, which has some kind of cheese in it, they are specialists at flavor and sauces. It doesn't suck that they use local fresh produce and environmentally smart packaging. Their app works like a charm, if you've never had a meal at clovery, you must try them. It

I'm pretty sure this place is a Christmas miracle. My craving for Mediterranean food was at an all time high and the only way to address it was to come here. Located within the Whole Foods in Sudbury, this kiosk is serving up some tasty-ass vegetarian Mediterranean food. While it's hard to do, are a few things that stood out to me: There's a very large variety of side salads that compliment each other both in taste but also in color and portions. I ordered the lentil salad which came with chickpeas and kale + the Moroccan carrot salad which was in a lemon and orange dressing. Both were soooo good! The platter always comes with pickled cabbage, shredded carrots, Israeli salad (cucumbers and tomatoes), hummus with zaatar spices and of course the chickpea fritters. They were bite sized and super tasty, but I could have used maybe 2 more...not that it ruined my amazing meal. All-in the platter costs about $13. It was a fair price given the fact that everything is homemade and fresh beyond belief.

What it was supposed to be...

Incredibly disappointing potato leek soup. So disappointing that I'm writing a review solely about this one item.

The service was pretty good , the drinks were overpriced like Boston prices for a couple old fashions that got watered down quickly. I had the salmon dish with rice. The portion was perfect , but it lacked flavor so it wasn't very satisfying. The best thing I liked was the dessert the chocolate mousse.

Our server was patient as we perused the menu and caught up with friends. I started with the equinox, which is their signature bourbon and cognac cocktail ($18) - it was good! The soft, pillowy rolls with butter was a nice start...who doesn't love delicious bread?! The steak frites ($41) was one of their specials that evening, and frankly, it wasn't too special. While it was a nice sized piece of sirloin that was cooked to my requested medium rare, it was a little tough and desperately needed the herbed butter it was served with. However, the menu offers a good variety of entrees, so there is something for everyone. We shared several desserts ($12 each), and again, all were good versions of familiar fare, such as creme brulee, bread pudding, flourless chocolate cake. The restaurant really seems to fit this affluent Boston suburb...a bit conservative, a bit pricy, nothing offensive or too risky, but everything done pretty well, if not especially memorable.

Today I gave it a try and felt that it was good in some areas and just ok in others. Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

The place itself was clean, neat, and not very large. We ordered the regular eggs Benedict (around $21) and the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict (around $30). Between the two, I definitely preferred the chicken and waffle Benedict. It was more savory, whereas the regular eggs Benedict also savory but came with a red sauce that was surprisingly sweet when I was expecting something more traditional and savory. Overall, I would come here for a special occasion, as the price point feels a bit high for what you get. You can definitely find a similar eggs Benedict elsewhere for cheaper. That said, I do recommend trying the green hot sauce they have. I thought it paired really well and tasted better with the dish.
