I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

Not the best place I've tried in the Arlington/Lexington area. I heard the meatballs and sauce were home made so I thought I would check it out. The meatball sub was nothing to brag about. The meatballs weren't very flavorful and the sauce was a little bit sweet but didn't really stand out either. I also tried the buffalo chicken wrap a while ago and wasn't impressed as it was a roll up with the ends left open and the inside ending up all over the place, a wrap has closed ends, right? So in general for the prices it wouldn't be my first, second or third choice for take out. read more

LOVE this place. If you want a delicious home cooked meal but don't want to do the cooking yourself, stop on by -- you won't be disappointed. The quality of the food and the service has been consistently excellent since they opened they doors. Jackson's is the first place we think of when we want comfort food but aren't in the mood to cook or don't have the time. I'm addicted to the chicken parm dinner and the meatballs....mmmm...chicken soup is also tremendous. So glad they're here, and so hope they'll be around for a loooong time. read more

New and wonderful! Great sandwiches, fresh turkey and salads!! I had a craving for Italian coldcuts and Jackson's Kitchen delivered. I have to admit having been there two days in a row since this is convenient to work (Arlington). Definitely worth the visit and several great items on the menu ranging from comfort foods to classics! Stopped in on my way home from work to pick up dinner -prepared food section provides lots of great options that taste like a home cooked meal without requiring that I turn on the stove! read more

At a loss for what to make for dinner driving home from work and thought of Jackson's Kitchen nearby so stopped in to check it out. I got the Chicken Parm and my husband decided on the Shepherd's Pie. Both were yummy! I'm a big fan of comfort food in general so it was refreshing to get large portions at a reasonable price. Picts of the owner's toddler son cooking up a storm in the kitchen line the walls, making it clear that the passion for cooking runs through this family. Delicious!!! I eat here at least twice a week. People are nice and friendly, service is fast. I love how the food taste homemade, not greasy at all. This isn't your typical pizza joint. On the advice of pal, I ordered grilled salmon here, it is served with rice and vegetables. The food was very tasty, the salmon was well fried, fresh tasty vegetables. The girl manager I spoke with on the phone was very polite, she recommended their specials. Took my order without any problems, too, in maximum 3 minutes.
