Solid food, way better than you expect from a comics store ! You'll be surprised at the quality of this place , the burger and salad I had were both fantastic.

Back in the day, comic book places were usually associated with pimpled and curt-bordering-on-rude dudes hanging out with Doritos and soda a plenty.

Atmosphere/ vibe - extremely unprepossessing. Sort of like your grandma's kitchen? But toasty warm, yes! Service - good, pretty prompt. It took a few minutes to bring the order to the table, which I took as a sign it was made to order, almost. Food - ok, but quite bland. The best thing in the stew was the preserved lemon or lime. Wow! Price/ value - disappointing. Paying 3USD for a hot tea, and then when offered more, it showed up on the bill as 6USD. Really? It comes out of the one tea pot/ diluted with hot water. The side of some pita w/butter was gratis. Would I come back? Not sure. On the check was the name Molana, which was the Persian place in Wtown Sq. The owner wanted to retire, but decided to take over the defunct Shiraz Persian Cuisine. Now it's just opened as Caspian Persian Cuisine. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like Molana took over all Persian restaurants in Wtown. Perhaps my expectations were wrong - I had in mind a sort of kebob/shawarma/souvlaki/gyros menu at really good prices. Maybe with Trumpflation, those days are long since gone

I go through phases where I…read morejust want Shawarma, fresh hummus, or a nice wrap and they always are very kind and set me up well. I'm always happy to see the place on the corner. Nice people. So, last night on an impulse, with my girl out of town and me needing food for an overnight project, I decided to swing by and get just what sounded great. Double BLT cheeseburger and onion rings. Fordee's burger patties are larger than most places, but I did want a double burger. You can guess the rest... double burger, bacon, lettuce, tomato -red onion was a treat! -and cheese and sauces and it was amazing. I can't always stop in and order a little piece of heaven like this -but it does happen and they treated me great... and boy, was it worth the wait. Very nice, very polite, very accommodating to whoever I wanted even if the cheeseburger was 72 ft tall. Best cheeseburger I have had in our neighborhood in almost half a year -and the other place we have to order from a great distance and aren't as nice. Having Fordee's in the neighborhood is a real treat. Fresh, friendly, and full of surprises. The Tabouli and salads are great... even my onion rings rocked. Keep up the good work, Fordee's! You set folks up with the best food. I may order 3 patties next time!

As much as they bear the aura of…read more*nonchalant-no-nonsense-straightforward*, they are actually very nice (and sometimes quite funny) folk. I recall one conversation the lady was having with an obvious regular over the phone. She had asked him several times what they wanted to order...I could tell that they had probably ate the whole menu at this point but couldn't decide in the moment. A few minutes later, I heard her say in an exasperated voice, "Oh, yoooooouuuuuu *KILL* meeeeeeee, please tell me what you want." (Note too that she says this in a particular sarcastic accent that literally made me absolutely LAUGH deep inside. Long story short, they continue for a bit on the phone and she finally finalizes the phone order.) I also fondly recall my first visit. I had ordered other dishes to try (none of which were Falafel despite it being part of the restaurant name). It was still pretty quiet as I literally got there as they were turning their open sign. Moments after I received my food, the owner himself stopped by the table with a small sample of his falafels after finding out it was my first time there. That short interchange immediately cemented their name in my list of places to dine. Why? They definitely serve some of the best falafels I've had stateside to date. And on top of that, I truly enjoyed the rest of the plates I've ordered so far. It's one of those places that just somehow tackles your palate with simplicity and complexity making you feel like you're at home and dining out at the same time.

The restaurant is in an inn and just being in the building is a pleasure. We went in the front door and asked where the restaurant was and had the pleasure of being lead to the back of the building through colorful rooms with vintage inspired wall paper. The green cameos on the front halls wallpaper were fuzzy!! The bathrooms were also a freaking delight. Great wall paper everywhere. The dining room was very beautiful with high back chairs and a fire place. They also offered dining on the porch which was really beautiful too - the inn is not secluded by any means, but there wasn't an overbearing amount of traffic, so the porch would probably be lovely. We ate inside though. My husband tried to go light and healthy with claim chowder and the seasonal vegetable. He also got an espresso. I just went ahead and got the burger with the salad. The burger came with homemade pickles which were pretty tasty. The salad had green tomatoes which were very interesting. All around I had a great meal. They also have an excellent selection of cocktails. I had a hard time choosing. but I ended up with the Rose Gold which featured some awesome rose gin. I love anything that tastes floral and this made me super happy. Also, plus points for the paper straw! Our waitress was also excellent and had a really warm persona. AND they were playing all my late 60's early 70's jams. I had a super pleasant time even if we didn't get the breakfast we were hoping for. The restaurant is walking distance from the historical sites downtown and great for a special experience or treat. Would love to see the rest of the inn some day.

When we walked into the hotel, there was no one at the check stand, and we eventually made our way through the bar to the restaurant's host stand. When you step into the main dining room, everything is awash with muted blues and grays--my scarf matched the color scheme pretty well, ha! We both ordered the kobacha (squash) soup, which was really quite delicious. It would've benefited from some sort of dippable bread or carb item, but it was very flavorful. The curry was definitely present without being overpronounced. I had the braised lamb neck, which came with glazed carrots and couscous. I order lamb all the time but had never ordered lamb neck specifically--I was pleased to find that it was tender and they gave a very generous portion! It tasted rather like a home-cooked meal. The harissa couscous was a nice complement. This dish just worked really well. For dessert, we shared the lemon posset, which is sort of like pot de creme. The lavender shortbread was really nice; I actually could've just had more of the shortbread by itself. The negative comes on the service front. We waited 35 minutes after being seated for our server to take our meal order and bring bread (their house bread is Parker House rolls, which were pretty standard Parker House rolls). After a while, we genuinely thought we had been forgotten about because it took over half an hour for our cocktails to arrive, and the restaurant was not full. However, I did enjoy The Ellen, a blackberry liquor-based cocktail, although the apple cidery "The Temptation" drink was too sweet for me. It was sort of strange because our server came to drop the menus and take our drink order and we didn't see her over a half hour. This was really the only negative of the meal, although since it was inching toward the hour mark before we received our appetizers, it was a pretty big ding. All that said, we'd certainly come back here.
