The best Indian restaurant in Lexington. North Indian cuisines. Food is quick and delicious. Our regular go to place.

Finally, the elusive tandoori momos done well. These can be the best version of momos if done well but have been so difficult to find. Little India Express gets them almost spot on. Tried the chicken and paneer tandoori momos. Ordered via Grabull; the order took nearly 45 mins to be ready, but it was worth the wait. A+ for the filling inside. The cilantro and onion topping, sprinkling of chaat masala, and the lemon/lime wedges provided were all nice touches. A couple of small critiques (and hence the 4 *s instead of 5): - The smoky "tandoori" flavor could have been amped up more. Although the momos had char spots on their skin, the charred flavor wasn't very pronounced. - The momos were so red, it appeared that food coloring was used. If so, it is not necessary and would be better done without. - Serving the momos on skewers with some charred green peppers and onions would be a nice enhancement. Aside from that, these totally hit the spot and will 100% satisfy a craving for tandoori momos - and it's much quicker than making them at home so would absolutely get them again.

We decided to try this Restaurant again and this time we only tried momos as momos of this restaurant are always good. We ordered Veggie as well as chicken momos. Both the momos were good and amazing. Everyone loved the momos.

Little India Express has THE BEST momos in the whole state of MA. We've already been there twice in one week. The new owners have added a variety of momos to their menu. Sukuti (dry meat) momo is the best and what a brilliant idea. I'm excited to try tandoori momo next. Also, juju dhau (homemade special yogurt) is a must. They also have great choices of Indian sweets. This place has amazing food and amazing service.

Great great Indian food. Ordered: * saag paneer (it was very well done) * tikka masala w/ chicken (really good per my wife, a. It too spicy at medium) * paneer pakora (side) - yummy * gobi manchurian (cauliflower in sauce) - this is absolutely a must. Some of the best flavors * spinach and paneer nan - good (although this ive had better) * garlic naan - very good per wife Will absolutely come back!

High-effort, well-executed and conceived takes on middle eastern and American food - lamb over rice, falafel, burgers, hot chicken sandwiches, hummus. Chicken is their strongest suit, in my estimation. They do amazing chicken tenders and chicken wings, paired with a tasty sauce and breaded for a really killer crunch. I love em. Same goes for their chicken burgers, chicken over rice combos, and chicken wraps. Lamb here is great, as is the falafel. I haven't had a bad meal with either. I tried their hummus on a recent trip and thought it was good. Nothing mind-blowing but better than the average. Also want to call out their waffle fries and onion rings, which are perfectly done. I love em to death. Whatever my main is, my side will typically be either the chicken tends or the waffle fries. For the negatives, their non-burger beef offerings suffer from the beef having lots of chewy bits in them. For example, their steak and cheese should be a sure thing, but every bite had a bit chewy bit I had to stop eating to pull out. They also overdo it on the mayo/sauce for that sandwich. So yeah, avoid their steak bomb and steak and cheese. I haven't tried their milkshakes but I am very sure they do a great job. Halal Eatz is one of those places you can usually trust to do a new item very well.

Egg is definitely prevalent in a lot of their dishes, but that doesn't necessarily mean its the star in everything and they do have other options. I'd say the best thing is their spices and sauces (they have varying spice levels for those who don't like spicy). Its definitely not a fancy place, but everything we had from baked samosas to the Hum-Tum was great. Only thing I'd add is make sure to check out their drinks. They have classic mango lassi, but other types too that looked really tasty though we weren't in the mood for anything besides the basic ones. We will definitely come back!

When I ordered, the cashier was warning me like I didn't know what I ordered. I get it! I have fair skin, and the stereotyping is a real thing. I asked them if they could make it extra spicy. The person rolled their eyes at me as they said "okay". When I received my order. It was the wrong order. It looked like mine, so I ate some and I had a bite of the roti, which would be a safe assumption it maybe came with the meal. Not like it's a pricey side dish, or anything. The server comes back who was the same person who rolled their eyes at me and said it was the wrong order. They left the roti at my table. So I had another bite of the first piece. The server brings the "correct" order, and there was no heat. Maybe a 1.5 out of 10 on the heat scale. I asked if it was the correct order. The server said yes. I asked if there was something to make it hotter. The server decided to insult me in front of my family and tell me that I can pay for the roti when I am ready to leave. What?!? It was your mistake, and after you insult me twice, you want me to pay? It's not the price. It they weren't rude. I would have been happy to pay. It's a cheap, unleavened flatbread. So, the food quality is definitely Indian street food. Don't expect anything glamorous. If you want spicy food... unless you're one of those people that find black pepper spicy... get yourself a mango lassi, it is spicier than what they consider "hot". They wouldn't survive a day in my kitchen when it comes to spice. It was a waste of money. Especially paying $50 for street slop on a paper plate. (One appetizer, one soda, one drink, two entrees). No wonder why they charge first, then serve the food. This place could close down, and I wouldn't notice or care.

Vanak is small, with only 6 tables, though we noticed a brisk take out trade during our 3 hour visit. Vanak is not fancy and one needs to know that a visit here is entirely about great Persian fare. Be prepared to either wait for a table or to settle for take out. Reservations are strongly recommended. Vanak has an impressive menu covering beef, lamb, chicken, fish, and vegetarian dishes. Everything is authentic and is served with a more than generous portion of rice. The difference in dishes isn't just the protein; there are at least ten different seasoned rice on offer. Our entrees were shared by four people and three dishes were more than enough. The Lamb Shank with Fava Bean and Dill Rice is exceptional. The shank was slow simmered and the ample amount of meat was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The Dill Rice is uniquely seasoned and we highly recommend this dish. Chicken with Barberry and Saffron Rice is another interesting dish. The quarter chicken is also slow cooked and nicely savory. The Barberry adds an interesting taste profile to what would otherwise be a standard Persian dish. No Persian meal would be complete without Koobideh Kababs and Vanak's rendition is very nicely seasoned. The Kababs were served on a bed of Sangak, the rustic Perisan wheat bread. We finished with baklava which was topped with chopped pistachios and Saffron ice cream. The servings here are authentic and generously portioned. Vanak offers a unique change of pace for lunch which we recommend.

I ordered the chicken sandwich combo with fries--mild, I think. Maybe medium. Whatever it was, it had more legitimate heat than the Burger King Jalapeño Whopper ever dreamed of having, and it made Taco Bell's Diablo sauce taste like something you'd give a toddler. It wasn't painful, just the kind of spice that politely reminds you who's in charge. The chicken was juicy, the breading stayed crispy, and the sandwich had just the right amount of everything. The fries deserve some credit too. Crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside--the way fries always promise to be but rarely are. When the box showed up, my first thought was, "That's it?" Five minutes later I was forcing down the last few bites because I refused to let perfectly good chicken go to waste. The portions are a lot more filling than they look. We had everything delivered through DoorDash, so I can't say much about the restaurant itself, but whoever packed the order deserves a shout-out. Everything was boxed neatly, looked like it had actually been assembled by someone who cared, and somehow arrived still steaming hot. After another restaurant (Caspian Persian Cuisine) unexpectedly cancelled our graduation event catering at the last minute, we were left scrambling just hours before a gathering of 40 people. It was a stressful situation, and we honestly weren't sure how we were going to pull it off. Then we found Roksana's. Despite the extremely short notice, they immediately understood the urgency, stepped up, and delivered. The entire order was prepared on time, complete, and exactly what we needed. They even threw in a few extras, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture during an already chaotic day. And the food? Absolutely incredible! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our guests loved it, and several people asked where the food came from. What could have been a disaster turned into a memorable celebration thanks to their professionalism, generosity, and outstanding food. It's easy to provide good service when everything goes according to plan. It's much harder to rise to the occasion when someone needs help at the last minute. Roksana's did exactly that.
