I like this place until today's incident... I ordered food from Uber Eats and described them my preference in notes... for some reason, they didn't receive my note... I'm vegetarian and they gave me chicken... this is NOT acceptable for people who do not eat meat, and any Indian restaurant is expected to know that. When I contacted the person, his attitude was very much like it's my fault. And they're not open to update menu, so that such errors doesn't happen for future customers. I'm not asking for refund, was asking to fix menu, for e.g. be clear about veg and non-veg items, which any restaurant is expected to take seriously. The food is delicious, especially the momo and goat curry.I tried their Jhol momo and it was really good, flavorful, and comforting. Finally, the elusive tandoori momos done well. These can be the best version of momos if done well but have been so difficult to find. Little India Express gets them almost spot on. Tried the chicken and paneer tandoori momos. Ordered via Grabull; the order took nearly 45 mins to be ready, but it was worth the wait. A+ for the filling inside. The cilantro and onion topping, sprinkling of chaat masala, and the lemon/lime wedges provided were all nice touches. A couple of small critiques (and hence the 4 *s instead of 5): - The smoky "tandoori" flavor could have been amped up more. Although the momos had char spots on their skin, the charred flavor wasn't very pronounced. - The momos were so red, it appeared that food coloring was used. If so, it is not necessary and would be better done without. - Serving the momos on skewers with some charred green peppers and onions would be a nice enhancement. Aside from that, these totally hit the spot and will 100% satisfy a craving for tandoori momos - and it's much quicker than making them at home so would absolutely get them again. read more

We are repeat customers. The food is very good however they are a little light on the spice... you may have to ask them to step the heat up. I mostly order from the Himalayan menu.. chicken momos are delicious. The chili chicken entree is my favorite. The szechuan chicken is also good. From the regular part of the menu I like the chicken kadai curry and the chicken 65 curry. The chicken pakoras are fine. Garlic naan is good. Little India Express has THE BEST momos in the whole state of MA. We've already been there twice in one week. The new owners have added a variety of momos to their menu. Sukuti (dry meat) momo is the best and what a brilliant idea. I'm excited to try tandoori momo next. Also, juju dhau (homemade special yogurt) is a must. Wow, what a great little Indian restaurant! They have lots of the "traditional" Indian dishes like butter chicken, vindaloo, tikka masala, aloo, gobi, etc. They also have some dishes that have a Chinese influence to them, like chili chicken and Himalayan momos and chow mein. We ended up ordering SIX different main dishes because it all sounded so good and everything was delicious! I like vegetarian dishes and really liked the mixed veg (many different veg in a curry sauce) and the sag chana (I think), which was chickpeas cooked in a spinach and garlic sauce (like saag paneer, but with chickpeas instead of cheese). The chicken vindaloo was excellent and had a bit of heat to it--perfect! The sukuti momos were really interesting and had somewhat of a bitter flavor with the topping. Every time I order from here, I feel comforted and reminded of home. This place is every bit authentic and I feel so blessed that they are located close to me! Almost every dish I've ordered has consistently been outstanding and I find myself coming back for more. The flavors are simple yet delicious enough that you can tell it feels homemade and with love. My favorites are the Panner Momo, Veg Biryani & Hariyali Kofta, which I normally ask to be made extra spicy and boy do they pack a punch! Currently, however, being a pregnant momma I'm averse to lot of foods especially the ones overpowering in spices and this place has been amongst the few place I can still eat from. Luckily the woman at the register warned us when asking about the spice level we wanted with our dish. I got mild-to-medium, and it was a nice level of spice. I ordered yellow dal and garlic naan from this place. Yellow dal was too watery and tasteless and garlic naan was not cooked. How can an Indian restaurant mess up with dal and naan?? So much better than many Indian restaurants in Greater Boston, because while they serve the usual North Indian foods, they have extra entrees as well, that I've not seen elsewhere, that are much more interesting and tasty. We get take-out (the only option, really) from here at least once a month. And in all that time, I have never had a bad dish. I especially like their Aloo Bindi, the Gobi Manchurian, the Malai Kofta, and the Navrattan Korma. (Obviously, I order only vegetarian, but my husband orders their meat dishes and says the Butter Chicken is great.) We've been ordering from India Express for a while but it seems like quality has decreased lately, maybe it's because of Friday's rush, but Masala was watered down (flour was added for volume) and chicken tandoori was dry (probably prepared earlier and reheated).
