Non Vegetable Lunch Special
Beverly W.

Upgraded the garlic naan for a buck. Well worth it. $17.99 for a lunch special. Always delicious and relaxing atmosphere!

Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, Rice Pudding, Garlic Naan, rice, some delicious veggie things... $20

Excellent food, reasonably priced, good service, chill ambiance (no loud music). I just had a plate of chicken, lamb, veggies, rice pudding, garlic naan for $20

Chilli Paneer
Rachel S.

Ordered takeaway from here for the first time. Hubby and I ordered the chili paneer, the chili chicken, and the Peshawari naan. Total came out to around $45 (without tip). What's Hot - Menu variety. Pretty good variety and there seems to be something for everyone- meats, vegetarians, vegan, and desserts. - Quality. The chili chicken was delicious. The chicken was nice and tender. The peshwari naan was tasty, as well. You could taste the slight sweetness, especially the coconut. My chili paneer had a decent amount of other veggies, like bell peppers and onions, which added to the flavor. - Portions. Pretty good size portions. The rice was in a large Chinese takeaway container, which was helpful for my husband and I to share. We also appreciated that it wasn't already with our dishes, because the rice would get soggy. Good size portions to get you full, as well. - Service. We ordered through Uber Eats before the restaurant was opened. Our food was made within a timely manner, which was helpful. They appear to communicate well with Uber Eats, because we received timely notifications when our food was ready. When we arrived for pickup, our order was ready in a bag by the front register. I confirmed the name for our takeaway order and the waiter was ready. - Spice. In our order, we asked that they make the food spicy, which it was. It was a good level of spice for me, but not for my husband, which I address below. What's Not - Dry paneer. Although the flavor of my chili paneer was good, the paneer was dry and not as cheesy/moist. - Spice. Hubby couldn't really taste the spice level very much. To be fair, he has a high tolerance, so I only add this to make people aware. If you have a high spice tolerance and you like your food really spicy, be aware that it may not be enough for you. - Price. For a dinner for 2 to be almost $50 is kind of pricey. To be fair, they have decent size portions, but be aware that if you are hungry and/or want to try extra dishes, be ready for the tab to add up pretty quickly. - Takeaway containers. Our food wasn't labeled, which was a little frustrating, because it was a bit difficult to tell exactly which dish was which. Given that takeaway orders are the norm right now, I always appreciate it when restaurants label the takeaway container with which dishes are which. It helps avoid confusion, especially when you're sharing dishes and/or if anyone has dietary restrictions/allergies. - Health and safety. The waiter who assisted us in picking up our order was not wearing a mask. During this time of the pandemic, when health and safety regulations are continually fluctuating, I get that it can be uncertain. However, I appreciate it when I see restaurants taking extra precautions wearing masks, gloves, whatever in ensuring the health and safety of others. Final Answer Willing to come back, but may not be the first choice for Indian food.

Stale, dry chicken tandoori.
Ragini P.

This restaurant used to be half decent. Now it is just awful. We got their chicken tandoori and paneer tikka yesterday, hard as rock and dry. Clearly, the chicken was not freshly baked. Paneer was overdone and dry. I also saw their manager Kishan yelling at a lady who was collecting her takeout and was asking questions. Not acceptable. We are not going back.

Good food but too expensive. No atmosphere and slow service. Better Indian restaurants in Arlington and Bedford.

The ambiance sets the tone as soon as you walk in, vibrant decor with a stylish bar. The service is consistently excellent. The menu is where Tashan really shines. They take familiar Indian flavors and elevate them with a creative twist. The Punjabi staples like chole, chicken tikka, and daal makhni are done exceptionally well, striking that perfect balance between authenticity and refinement. The cocktail menu deserves a special mention. The aam mojito was refreshing and vibrant with mango and mint; the sharabi samundar was tropical and fun. For dessert, the Rajasthani Ghevar was a highlight; it was honeycomb-textured, and perfectly paired with a rich rabdi and pistachios. Tashan delivers a polished, yet approachable, take on modern Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!

There wasn't a hint of spice in anything. There wasn't any chai ($5 for a glass) and for dessert all they had was "strawberry mouse" which tasted basically like flavored cool-whip, instead of any actual Indian desserts, like gulab jamun, which most India buffets have. On top of this, it was more expensive than many Indian buffets. If you want a good Indian buffet, go a couple exits up 128 to Godavari in Woburn instead. It'll be worth the detour.

Approachable menu with as much fusion as authentic Korean. -- Chicken Wings: Jumbo wings with extra crispness and an inner texture varying between sufficiently moist and gushingly juicy, depending on the piece. Always liked them, and I tried twice more recently with similar positive results. Excellent flavor in both the Soy Garlic and the Sweet and Spicy Gochujang. Superb, and with no price hikes in at least five years, now an excellent value too. -- Kimchi Pancake: Crispy on the edges and fluffier inside, with kimchi adding some crunch and nice flavor to go with the starch. Thin dark sauce to complement it. I think of it as a Korean cross between scallion pancake and egg foo yong. Good for sharing. -- Seafood Jampong: A large bowl of seafood stew with a red broth that has some creaminess as well as spice. Nice texture and chock full of large mussels, scallops, shrimp (gigantic Gulf shrimp as well as baby shrimp), Asian squid, and noodles. The squid was a little chewy, but everything else was cooked beautifully. This dish satisfied both in the restaurant and as leftovers the next day. All fine in their own right, but not exactly the environment you think of when selecting a sushi restaurant. Then, just to enter, you need to find the entrance behind a support column and take an elevator up to the second floor. So right off the bat it's a bit strange. That being said, once we were seated for AYCE, everything was superb. The server would bring us a new order card immediately after we ordered each round of food and checked back often ensuring we never had to wait very long for the next round of food to come out. The entire menu was available...sushi, sashimi, rolls (including the special rolls), apps, soups, salads, and hibachi. The sushi wasn't elite, but absolutely fresh and tasty. And the wine is very reasonably priced. There is also a hibachi area of the restaurant that we didn't visit, but we could hear it. It was loud and full of families and it sounded like the chefs were putting on a good show and everyone was enjoying themselves.
