And flavorful it was! The chicken tikka masala sauce was packed with spice and had a lovely silky texture. Paired with the rice and naan was a bite that transported us straight to India! Not to mention, the ceremonial decor makes the entire night feel like a true, traditional dining experience. This spot is perfect for sharing and the meal was very cheap for the quantity and quality! We were also able to try their crisp veggie samosas (my absolute fav!) and their traditional gulab jamun (which they kindly provided us on the house!) The service is incredibly kind, moves swiftly, and truly makes you feel at home. Finally, I have to commend their extensive menu offering every traditional indian dish you can imagine, plus some you've probably never heard of. I can't wait to go back and try more things, this spot is the perfect place to indulge in some comfort food or branch out and try something new! I can't give this place enough praise and I'd definitely recommend you stop by whenever you get the chance! Make sure to bring your appetite, and maybe some friends and family to help out as well.

But finally I did and boy am I happy. Very much a family affair - husband and wife who share maitre'd and server responsibilities. And other relatives in the kitchen cooking up a storm. What first grabbed my attention were the huge number of dosas they offer. Seeing any dosa on a menu at all is a rarity and so to see the wide variety they feature was amazing. I opted for the Andhra Kara Masala and it was excellent. The dosa itself crispy and warm and the condiments beautifully integrated. We opted for the mixed veggie pakoras as an appetizer on the recommendation of the owner and they were served warm and crispy. The batter was light - nothing like the thick sludge that usually adorns the deep fried nuggets of vegetable delight. The accompanying tamarind sauce was sweet and clean and the mint-cilantro suitably refreshing. Lovey got garlic naan and saag paneer. Smooth and creamy, the saag was exactly as hoped for and the garlic naan was chewy, warm and toothsome. Dessert was carrot halwa. Hard to believe carrots make such an excellent warm dessert but they do. Richly satisfying with just the right touch of sweetness. We look forward to returning and sampling the rest of the menu!

Sometimes I feel if I want to search Yelp, the more effective strategy is to search the Yelp listing on Google! Good thing I found the listing before creating a duplicate! But I digress: I was at Mighty Squirrel Brewery to celebrate a birthday, and this was the truck parked outside. My indecisive, variety-loving self to go for the Chicken Tikka Masala Combo. The dish came with rice, a little veggies, a few pieces of chicken, and some naan. On its own, the dish was A-OK. While not the greatest Indian food I've had, food trucks get a bit of a pass. The chicken and veggie had lovely spice (not heat) and good, distinctive flavors. The rice was cooked perfectly, and went great with any leftover sauce. The naan was nothing to write home about... but like the chicken not being at peak tenderness, I don't expect it fresh out of the tandoor. While in and of itself the food and very friendly service would put them close to a four. However, the value and price lands them squarely in three territory. With tax, the whole plate was $20 - this being for three small-ish pieces of chicken, and some rice, veg, and bread. While I can't say next time this truck and I are at Mighty Squirrel I'll go for a pretzel, I can say I would not seek this truck out at a Food Truck Festival.

My boyfriend is from Mumbai and I've also been and we LOVE Indian food. We haven't been able to…read morefind a good Indian restaurant since we moved out to Western, MA. We wanted to try this spot and oh it was so good!! We were initially tempted in trying the buffet (we saw photos of that online) but they unfortunately spotted doing that since the pandemic. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with what we ordered!!! We ordered for takeout. We ordered 3 gravies. We chose spicy out of the three levels of heat for each gravy to see how hot they would be. They were definitely spicy, not the SPICIEST Indian I've ever had (we like chili!) but it definitely had it! I'd probably only order one or two gravies as spicy next time, just to switch it up a bit. We ordered: Chicken korma: my boyfriend wanted to try this but was nervous because every chicken korma he's ordered in the US has been terrible. But WOW, he loved it, I loved it, it was soooo rich and creamy. Chicken thighs were the cut of chicken they used in this gravy so it was super tender. We were so pleased with this one. Saag paneer: I love saag paneer so I was curious to see what theirs would taste like. Another hit! Rich and creamy, had a good kick. I loved it mixed with the butter chicken too. Butter chicken: The sauce was perfect- rich and creamy, flavorful, everything it should be. I just don't love chicken breast as much as chicken thighs- but that's a classic butter chicken, so I can't blame them for that haha! Lastly, we got rice with the gravies and it was also really good! I love the mango lassi, my boyfriend didnt- he said it was good but he wouldn't go out of his way for it. I thought it was great, not too watery and very flavorful. Overall, my boyfriend has been to 30+ Indian restaurants in the US and he says this is his favorite! Thank you, Mirchi! We will be back :)

Our go to order is now butter chicken and biryani. I'm not sure which one we got the first time but it had nice moist tender pieces of chicken in it. The second time we had the chicken biryani 65 which was also delicious and the chicken seemed to be prepared a bit differently. It seemed like it was fried but was still moist and tender. The biryani is perfectly flavored and takes a while to come out, so they're probably making it to order.
