We were super hungry and ended up ordering a lot of food. Everything from appetizers, curries and biriyani tasted delicious. Gutivankaya (eggplant curry) was my favorite. I went there for their weekend lunch buffet. Their buffet is located inside a room to your right. It was full house inside, so they sat me and my family to the main room. I have no complains about their food. Service and food were great, but their popular beverages and buffet items often run out. This was my first time trying out this establishment and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was average indian restaurant decor. Our waiter Narindra, was super friendly from the get-go and he didn't take long for us to order and bring us our food. We had ordered the following dishes: Tandoori roti, cheese Naan, ginger chicken, and paneer Tikka masala. I asked for my entrees to be medium spice and they were perfectly medium for my taste. The ginger chicken would have to be my favorite from everything that I had ordered. I think it would go best with an entree that has a sauce like we had ordered in my picture. This is because it is more of a dry dish but not dry like popcorn chicken or something. Overall, I would rate this whole experience a 5/5 and I would definitely return. read more

I don't leave reviews often, but this was a truly bad dining experience. I eat Indian food a good amount, so I am quite familiar with it and know what good Indian food is. And this is not that. First off, the dishes are made with frozen vegetables. We ordered a 15$ vegetable dish which was a variety of pre frozen carrots, green beans, cauliflower, and peas. When I asked the server if they were fresh, he said yes, and denied they were ever frozen. I know they were frozen because I can easily tell the difference. (Soft, waterlogged vegetables with uniform carrot cuts, etc.). But instead of acknowledging that I was gas lit to believe they were indeed fresh. We ordered an aloo gobi that was basically a curry dish with potato in it (not what aloo gobi is). Also it had the frozen cauliflower. All their potato dishes had soft, mushy, bad tasting potato in it. Including the filling of the dosa and samosa. And they served our rice dish cold. Best Indian food around! I came here the day before thanksgiving and had seen the place a couple of times and always wanted to try it. They were busy but sat us very quickly (i think there was just a lot of people because it was the day before thanksgiving) I ordered this curry and rice dish that was excellent. Actually everything we had was excellent. Our server was very quick to get our food and he still made time for us when he was trying to serve everyone. Ordered from here last night for delivery. They have a vegetarian section on their menu for both appetizers and entrees!!! There are SO MANY YUMMY options!!! It's nice to have a bit of variety instead of one vegetarian to app to order. We ordered the golkonda gobi 65. We also ordered the palak paneer, veggie dum biryani, garlic naan, and lassi. The gobi was AMAZING and frankly the best I've ever had. It's almost like a finger food, each cauliflower floret is covered in a fried and incredibly flavorful batter. You can literally pop those bad boys in your mouth even on the go: while driving, while shopping for black friday, or pouring your next drink. They're FANTASTIC. The palak paneer was tasty. It was very spicy and my white ass is going to complain that there's no place to select a desired spice level, they just assume for you. It wasn't unbearably spicy but did require some breaks to allow for my mouth to cool down. My lower GI tract wasn't particularly happy about it around 24 hours later. I'll spare you further details. Otherwise, it's a more pureed version, which is my preference. The paneer was plentiful. The vegetable dum biryani was seasoned well but was disappointing in terms of the "veggie" part. There were only a few diced carrots and a couple green beans. I wouldn't feel compelled to order this again, there are probably many better items to order from here. I wish I could tell you about the garlic naan but they didn't send it, so that was disappointing. This is the main reason for 3 stars, it's a bit of a problem to not be confident that you're going to actually receive what you ordered and paid for. The mango lassi was delicious. I finished it in probably 2 minutes. I highly recommend theirs. I'm really digging the incredible variety of vegetarian options here and look forward to trying more of their stuff...I just hope it all arrives.. read more

Had delicious food while being in town. For my meal I had ginger chicken. It was in the appetizer section of the menu, but definitely filling and big enough for a meal. Flavors were wonderful. Bite sized pieces of deliciousness. Great amount of spice. I also ordered some garlic naan. Garlic flavors were delicious. One of my friends ordered old city chicken roast biryani. I had some to try and thought it was quite tasty. It came with rice and boneless chicken. My other friends ordered a different chicken biryani. I forgot which one. He did like it, but couldn't fully enjoy it as there were pieces of bone, both small and large in his chicken. This is not their fault, but simply his for not ordered a meal with boneless chicken. We were also giving two sauces. A white and a red. Not really sure what they were for. I dipped some naan in both, and some chicken in the white one. Both had good flavors. They serve such good food, if they improve the service aspect they will earn my all 5 stars. Found the quality of their Service to be inadequate in each of our visits. Service issues: server not asking spice level for food ordered.one cannot enjoy the food if it gets too spicy. appetizers and main course gets served together or in immediate succession. The naans end up getting cold while one is still working through the appetizers. server uses hand held devices and when asked for check, they just mention the total amount and one is supposed to pay it. The bill gets generated after payment. This is awkward! One should be able to see the check prior to payment... which is the usual norm! Tips: dont order all food at once. Order appetizers first and once it's on the table, order the main course. Else they will bring appetizers n main course all together. Specifically mentioning this in the beginning didn't seem to help. make sure to mention the spice level required for each item ordered.they dont generally ask you for it. Their medium spicy is really spicy (I am used to eating indian food and this was a bit spicy/hot than usual). don't sit near the main door. My boyfriend is from Mumbai and I've also been and we LOVE Indian food. We haven't been able to find a good Indian restaurant since we moved out to Western, MA. We wanted to try this spot and oh it was so good!! We were initially tempted in trying the buffet (we saw photos of that online) but they unfortunately spotted doing that since the pandemic. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with what we ordered!!! We ordered for takeout. We ordered 3 gravies. We chose spicy out of the three levels of heat for each gravy to see how hot they would be. They were definitely spicy, not the SPICIEST Indian I've ever had (we like chili!) but it definitely had it! I'd probably only order one or two gravies as spicy next time, just to switch it up a bit. We ordered: Chicken korma: my boyfriend wanted to try this but was nervous because every chicken korma he's ordered in the US has been terrible. But WOW, he loved it, I loved it, it was soooo rich and creamy. Chicken thighs were the cut of chicken they used in this gravy so it was super tender. We were so pleased with this one. Saag paneer: I love saag paneer so I was curious to see what theirs would taste like. Another hit! Rich and creamy, had a good kick. I loved it mixed with the butter chicken too. Butter chicken: The sauce was perfect- rich and creamy, flavorful, everything it should be. I just don't love chicken breast as much as chicken thighs- but that's a classic butter chicken, so I can't blame them for that haha! Lastly, we got rice with the gravies and it was also really good! I love the mango lassi, my boyfriend didnt- he said it was good but he wouldn't go out of his way for it. I thought it was great, not too watery and very flavorful. This was our first dine in experiences at Mirchi Nation and it was great . It is great to be back dining in at restaurants without masks. The servers in the establishment were wearing masks. Their menu had a lot of South Indian options, indo-Chinese as well as regular indian food and some unique options. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Goat Rogan Josh, Garlic Butter Naan and Chicken Biryani noodles. The flavors were spot on and the Indo-Chinese is almost like the food in India. Top notch. We loved the food and will keep visiting the restaurant. The food was soo good that I forgot to take picture if them! The only image, I did manage to click was the picture of Biryani noodles with Chicken! Although this is not our first time eating here. We previously took a take out order during Covid restrictions. We were bored of going to the usual Indian restaurants, so we decided to visit Mirchi Nation in Marlborough. I must admit that we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food here. We went there around 6 pm. Ordered Gobi manchurian, chicken lollipop, paneer tikka masala, Nalgonda natukodi curry (bone-in chicken curry) and garlic naan. The service was extremely fast. The food arrived at the table in around 10-15 minutes and it was freshly made. Some people who dine in here during peak hours complain that the food arrives late. But I think it is fair as cooking fresh food takes time when there are so many orders in the queue. Best is to visit early like we did. The taste of each and ever dish was amazing. I decided to order to go because the food was really good. I ordered Goat Sukkha and Goat fry biryani. Both were exceptionally good. Remember, if you say spicy, it will be very spicy. If you like mild, say mild because the spice level is very high here. I am glad I visited Mirchi Nation and found my favorite Biryani spot. Very good indo-Chinese food around MA area. Ambience is decent and clean for dine in. Mostly we saw people doing take out orders. Chicken lollipop- wet was the best dish out of everything we ordered. Szechwan rice was pretty authentic and flavorful. Veg ball Manchurian was decent too, but the veg balls could have been better - they were a bit hard and looked like they weren't fresh. One innovative dish that server suggested was - biryani noodles. Honestly, I dint like the fusion that much. Biryani and indo Chinese are my favorite Indian foods and I prefer to have it as is. Wanted to give Indian food another shot so came to this spot. Did online order for takeout. Online order site was easy to use but lack of pictures and descriptions of the menu items made it difficult to order. I had to use what other yelpers recommended. By the way, not sure if it is just me but T-mobile reception wasn't too good in the parking lot of the restaurant so I recommend ordering from another location if you are a T-mobile user. This restaurant is in a shopping plaza location. I ordered the spicy Mirchinator wings and spicy goat sukkha. Both came to about $30 total. Got an email to pick up in about 25 minutes. I was there on time and they had my order ready. After I drove somewhere else to enjoy the meal, I realized they did not include fork / spoon / napkins. Was I supposed to specify this in the online order? I thought it should automatically come with them. Anyways, the Mirchinator wings were ok. There was only 3 levels of spicy level to choose from and I picked the highest one (spicy), which has enough kick that I would recommend having enough drinks. The chicken was well-cooked and the spices are unique but has an aftertaste slightly like soap. They do have cilantro in there and I know some people taste soap when they have cilantro. I never did had this taste until having these wings. Despite that minor aftertaste, I thought the wings were okay. The spicy level made me stop after 2 pieces. By the way, there are 8 pieces in there and it comes 4 wing parts and 4 drums if you care about that. The skin is not crispy. I think if it was crispy, the crunchy element works well with the spice sauce. The goat sukkha was also ordered in the highest spicy level but it wasn't as spicy as the wings. I liked the goat sukkha better than the wings. The sauce is very flavorful and the goat meat is very well marinated in spices. The sauce is so heavy to have the goat sukkha by itself so I recommend having rice with it to dilute the sauce flavor. The goat meat is not as gamey as I thought it would be, so I liked it. It was well cooked. Overall, it was okay. The food is a bit heavy by themselves. The thick sauces and abundant spices make it so I recommend eating with rice / veggies and having a lot of refreshing drinks to dilute the strong tastes. One of the worst India food I have had in MA, we ordered Mirchi spl wings, murgh soup, Hyderabad mutton dum biryani and chilli chicken biryani. Murgh soup was hot water with tomato, chicken pieces Wings meat was stale and it was sweet and they had coated with ketchup and the waiter told us it's one of their spicy dishes ‍ Mutton dum biryani was definitely not dum it was flavored rice with mutton masala. Chicken biryani was the same. I have no idea how this place got 4.1 ratings, I m in shock if your looking for authentic Indian food pls don't go to this place and waste your money. If I could leave a negative review, I would. I sat down and was brought a bottle (8 oz) of warm water. I asked if I could have a glass of ice water, the server said no, this was the only water available. I move on to ordering a plain dosa. The server tells me no, I need to have potato dosa because it's more flavorful. Ok, whatever, I find it stupidly rude but I'm hungry and craving a dosa. This is our go to Indian restaurant so I've eaten there many times. I'm not recommending it whole heartedly, though, because the quality varies so much! I wish I could figure out what the factor is that affects whether it is a good night or an off night and only order on the good nights. On a good night, the curries are flavorful (particularly recommend the korma), the naan is just the right amount of chewy, the samosas are hot and fresh and perfectly spiced, and OMG get the gobi (cauliflower) manchurian. On an off night, though, dishes that are supposed to be mild come out spicy and spicy dishes are inedible, the curries are all sauce with only a few chunks or chicken or paneer or whatever, the naan is burned and cardboard-y, and once I got a fish dish that had fish that was clearly past it's prime. I'd say it's 70:30 good night:bad night. Try to go on a good night. read more
