Madaras Grill was on the way when we were heading home after a trip to Northern MA. We looked at the positive Yelp Reviews of the restaurant and decided to give it a try and we're not disappointed. We ordered takeout with Fish Koliwada for appetizers, Goat pepper fry for entree with tandoori roti and naan bread. The pickup was ready on time and the server was friendly. The Fish Koliwada is a Bombay style masala battered fried fish (boneless tilapia here). We ordered the spicy version and liked the level of heat. The Goat pepper fry was a chettinad style, succulent goat meat (bone-in) cubes cooked in a south Indian style peppercorn sauce. Although delicious, it was a bit too oily for our liking and extremely spicy although we specifically ordered medium spice level. The cooler near the pickup counter displayed Meetha Paan which was tempting to resist, especially since one does not usually see them in most restaurants. We got a few pieces and they were refreshing. Overall Madaras Grill offers a decently good option for Indian food and I would definitely come back to explore rest of the menu.

I used to get take out from here a lot when I worked down the street from there, but this was the first time I dined in. I'm not sure what I was waiting for to actually dine in! The food was freshly prepared and delicious. There are restaurants where, when spicy is requested, they don't believe you and bring it medium. But not here, my son likes his food spicy and they delivered. My son tried ours, which were medium, and he said there was a difference. The portions are generous. The bar itself is beautiful and ornate. Everyone working was friendly and helpful. The only I will say, and it was not uncomfortable enough to complain about, was the dining room temperature. It fluctuated between blowing nice warm air and cold air. When the cold air was blowing it would become a little uncomfortable, but then the warm air kicked back on. It was 14 degrees outside so if you go on a cold night like that wear or a bring a layer or two. Otherwise I highly recommend enjoying a nice warm meal from Madras Grill!

Went here for the special dinner buffet last month and WOW! I hope they do them more often. It is absolutely delicious and fun and a fabulous deal at $17.95!!! Particularly good for people: - no allergies/restrictions (very minimal signage). - happy to try food without knowing what it is. - likes spicy food. It's not overpowering but it is quite spicy. - not expecting "typical" dishes - no chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, etc. - not in a hurry - they seem a little flustered and some people seem eager to get the check, and they now have a wait for larger parties. The bathrooms are not gender-neutral but they are individual in the same hallway, and look accessible. The food is amazing and I'm very glad I went!! They are also bring out more food constantly, it's not sitting around.

Great Ambience, staff, and food! No wonder why so many people are leaving great reviews to this place. Right from the moment they seat you at a table to the ambience, the food and the service is just impressive. Highly recommend dishes- Chicken 65, chicken biryani, Mutton Biryani, Butter Chicken, Goat Biryani, Cut mirchi... P.S- Owner confirmed that the Mutton/Chicken is Halal.

I came here with my significant because a friend (who is Indian descendant herself) talked very highly of Madras. The atmosphere is warm, which draws a lot of families in the restaurant. My bf had a lot of questions about certain beers and dishes and the waiters were very helpful and very attentive. The chicken tasted amazing and the Naan bread. My bf is obsessed with garlic Naan and he loved this one. I am a big fan of the sweet Naan bread and this one didn't taste artificial like at other Indian restaurants that I've been to. We will definitely come back here again for lunch/dinner. The flavors and spices worked so well together. I wish they offered different sizes for draft beers and that the vegetable samosa was more than 2 piece, but overall, very good food and quick service!

This is the Chicken Biryani on 2/16/22. It's stale with mushy rice.

Flaming Grill & Buffet is a spectacular spot in its price category. In a world where fast food's…read morecost is often double-digit, a weekday lunch at an AYCE spot for $14 is beyond incredible. While food quality on its own is 'meh,' I can confidently say you get more than you pay for! When it comes to food quality, this is mediocre. The General Tso's chicken was great, though that is to be expected with an item heavy on salt, sugar, and fat; almost everything else is instantly forgettable. The sushi, for example, was on the low-tier of supermarket. At the same time, I do want to call out that there was nothing I tried so awful I spat it out. However, in a high volume, ultra-low cost spot, all non-catastrophic quality issues are immediately forgivable. Now, while Flaming Grill doesn't have everything under the sun, the variety is excellent! There are Asian, American, and Japanese dishes, as well as a salad and dessert bar, plus hibachi. While you will not find any oysters on the half-shell, I can confidently say there is something for everyone. Even with my voracious appetite and taking a small amount of what looked interesting to me, I was unable to try everything. When it comes to the service, considering the buffet nature, it was just fine. I absolutely want to award some credit as it was attentive enough that when I moved on to dessert, they knew to bring the check. As for outside my table, food items were kept refilled, as I saw nothing nearly empty. Everything was also kept clean, and no cleanliness issues were noticed. Final verdict: Unfortunately, my taste run a little more fancy than Flaming Grill & Buffet, but that is not an issue with the eatery, but a fact of my becoming bougie? I think? That said, when I find myself in MA, and waiting for the Rental Tesla to charge across the street before returning it, you can bet your serving spoon I will be coming back.

Two days prior to writing this review, a YouTube channel by the name of "Company Man" posted his…read morevideo essay called "The Rise and Fall (...and rise again) of Golden Corral." Which prompted two things in my brain: 1.) I haven't been to a Golden Corral in years (not since living in Texas, at least); and 2.) I should look to see where the closest one is to me. Lo and behold, turns out...my original assumptions of the nearest one most likely being somewhere in northern Mass were incorrect. There is, in fact, a newly renovated GC right in our midst - in good ol' Manch Vegas! And man, have they upgraded! It would seem there is a great deal of truth in that video essay by Company Man. Because it appears over the years, the management at GC have been hard at work upgrading the ever popular buffet restaurant. Not only are both the dining area and buffet room completely contemporary by 2025 standards; the payment system is updated as well. See, in the past, I usually had to endure the "joy" of making sure to have small bills on my person so that I could aptly tip the servers. But now...GC did something I *never* expected. In addition to facilitating contactless payment options, they allow you to charge an additional dollar amount of your choosing for the specific purpose of getting cash back to tip your server. This concept is awesome on so many levels that I can't believe more places that charge dining up front don't do this. I've often pointed out in past reviews that if cash tip only restaurants made it easier for customers to tip servers (be it via credit card or cash back), we'd be more willing and able to do it. So, why aren't more places doing it this way? Don't know! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Now, as you can see from the photos, the dining room and buffet area have been drastically updated. Or at least....since I last visited one years back. The aura is generally brighter as a whole and the tables don't seem as crammed together as before (I suspect, in part, due to the Covid years). Another thing I noticed almost immediately is how the buffet size seems slightly scaled down, whilst still offering a generously vast selection. But again, I'm comparing this to the one I used to visit frequently back in Texas so....take this with a grain of salt (no pun intended). And for those who were wondering, yes - the breakfast still slaps! I didn't notice an omelet station anywhere. Though, I honestly didn't look for one either. It's possible I could have missed it. Oh, GC evidently did away with their traditional trays, too. Just as well, considering they served no purpose in the first place. You still get your drinks immediately upon entry. But I mean, you could always just double fist it if you desire multiple beverages. Since I'm not a huge buffet person these days due to an aging metabolism, I can't say I'd come back here *too* often. But they still are the #1 place I'd visit as far as buffets are concerned. Still holding the top spot in their respective dining category, I'm giving Golden Corral in Manchester 5 generous plates of bacon and eggs out of 5.

There was a very long line outside of Golden Corral before the grand reopening and ribbon cutting and live DJ outside. The first 100 guests to purchase an adult buffet would receive free buffets for a year, one adult buffet per month, per household, a booklet with 12 free adult buffet certificates, tracked. The layout of the restaurant with the buffet stations and seating areas are still the same. The front area has changed a bit with the drink station crammed near the front entrance, get your drinks first, then pay. This model works at larger Golden Corral with a larger front queuing area, but it is very crowded with the self serve drink station near the front at this location. They also have a dedicated check out line for takeout orders to right. A couple months ago, I was surprised to see the Golden Corral in Manchester was reopening and thrilled that I would not have to trek to Queensbury NY or Springfield MA for Golden Corral. I stopped by Golden Corral in Manchester for the weekday lunch buffet, which was $12.99 plus tax for the adult buffet, got ice water. The buffet has salad stations, hot foods stations, dessert stations, soft serve ice cream machine, Icee machine, but I did not see the chocolate fountain (yet?). I limited myself to three plates and desserts. I enjoyed Spaghetti Pie, Pork Tamales, Fried Chicken, Cheeseburger Slider, Fried Okra, Onion Rings, Meatloaf, Pot Roast, Chicken & Dumplins, Baked Whitefish, Fried Whitefish, Fried Shrimp, Mac & Cheese, Rice Pilaf, Baked Beans, Collard Greens, Zucchini, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Seasoned Potatoes, Corn On The Cob, Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad, Seafood Salad, Cole Slaw, Green Salad, Hot Roll, Cornbread, Clam Chowder, Choc Chip Cookie, Cheesecake, Banana Pudding, Bread Pudding, Mini Churros, Peach Cobbler, and Chocolate/Vanilla Soft Serve. The place looked very clean too.
