Feng Shui is good. Food is what you get at most other buffets. It isn't bad, but it is a typical asian buffet with a lot of grease and sugar. Staff at the front seemed like the did not want to be working. Servers were very good and stayed on top of refilling drinks and clearing dishes. Restaurant has a nice decor and is clean. The location and building was nice and appeared clean. We were seated with a lovely family that included mom, dad, grandma, and a 4 year old. The service started out great with prompt drink orders and frequent check in. The food preparer was a bit aggressive. His "show" included the standard toss of food for you to catch with mouth and drinking the sake, which is fun if you are expecting. It went overboard with the barrage of food tossed and drenched child. The child became frightened and was cowering away, yet it continued. The fire demonstration splatter the oil towards us as the fire travelled down the table- not contained in the onion volcano as it usually would be. This frightened us as well as the child. The food was decent. The soup was good the salad minimal in much to large pieces. We were happy to see the non meat food prepared before the meat hit the heat. We were surprised we were not offered the additional dipping sauces. We had to ask for some. The server did slack off as we had to ask for the rice that was ordered as part of the meal and then waited what seemed to be forever for the bill, despite being the only 2 families left. After a long drive (~40 miles) Sunday 2/15 we (party of 2) arrived for Hibachi at 12 noon, the restaurant's opening time. We were told by the host that Hibachi was available at 12:30. Despite this information not being presented anywhere, we waited patiently at the bar. The host seated up upstairs. We were the only diners there, but some how were sat at the only table/grill that was dirty. We brought this up to the server several times. She just responded that the chef will clean it. Then we noticed, some of the 'dirt' was oil dripping from the stove vent directly onto the table/grill. The business had no interest in serving us or addressing our concern. We promptly left and had a lovely meal at Karma in Burlington. That $200 tab could have been spent at Feng Shui - instead we are never going back to any of their restaurants including Braintree. We used to go her all the time years back. The place used to be great, but not anymore! At 6:00 PM our first sign was that the place was empty. Only 3 other tables were occupied besides out. Service was absent. Drinks came and waiter vanished never coming back to take our dinner order. Time serving was totally out of step. She got her Peking Duck served first. Then our friends got their meals. My dinner came 15 minutes thereafter. My miso soup had more salt than the Mass Turnpike during a blizzard! My spicy tuna hand roll was a four alarm fire. Wife said her duck was the worst she ever eat. Friend's meals were OK. This place has gone completely downhill. Management was totally lacking and the lack of patronage was clear sign of that! We have a simple solution... we will never go back. There are far superior oriental restaurants around. This on is a disaster and it shows why. Do expect them to be around for much longer. The buffet is killer. It's a lunch buffet. Lots and lots of choices. Somewhat, I think, or authentic Chinese choices as well. It was packed when we got there and food was still fresh and hot. Had take away last week for dinner. Ordered tasteless house fried rice and even worse bland chicken lo mien. The noodles and chicken were ok themselves but sauce had no to little taste at all. All the appetizers were excellent except didn't care for the Tempura. I tried all the other dishes. With the exception of the Chicken Teriyaki and the Black pepper beef, I enjoyed them all. I like a buffet because I can try new dishes to see if I like them. Overall food was really very good. My only complaint was that semi warm food was placed on very cold plates. We were seated promptly for supper, and had both spring and egg rolls. The egg rolls were good and acceptable, crunchy and somewhat tasty, on the other hand the spring roll were lousy, inside were mushy and could not detect what was in them. The lo mein was cold and dry, so was the fen shui spicy chicken, as if it was previously prepared. Did it came from the earlier lunch buffet I wonder? The dish came with fried rice, which had cucumber? Of course it came cold. The lavatories are located in the basement. The waiter was awful, never check to see if everything was ok, also commited the mortal sin of inexperience in waiting tables, brought all the food at once (appetizers and main dishes). Every waiter/ waitress that does that should NOT in my opinion received a tip. The ambiance was quiet. In general the service was poor and the food mediocre. In my area Chelmsford/ lowell we have, unfortunately, a serious lack of decent Chinese food restaurants. read more

Beautiful interior but the service and food was extremely subpar. When we told our server our allergens, he didn't bother to at least write it down. As a result, he kept getting confused like when he said a dish had soy in it but we weren't allergic to soy and we never listed soy as an allergen. When we asked about specific items, it would be obvious he didn't know and tried to give us very unsure answers that it just got to the point where we just straightforwardly asked if he could check with the cooks. We also asked about the scallion pancakes to which was an issue for allergies because he admitted it comes from somewhere else. For the price people are paying, scallion pancakes should be made fresh in house. There also weren't many people at the restaurants and yet the service was very slow. I don't put any shame towards restaurants that buy their desserts because the reality is that many restaurants do that. However, the issue I have is that my cheesecake was not fully thawed out and was cold and slightly hard in the middle. Most of the sugar of the crème brûlée wasn't torched so there was a spoonful of gritty brown sugar on top of the custard. The spicy chicken wasn't spicy. The menu listed it as spicy and it said it had a Thai chili sauce. I didn't think it was THE sweet Thai chili sauce. If you grew up using Mae Ploy or Maesri sweet chili sauce like me, then you'd know the exact taste. The biggest issue is that this type of sauce is a condiment meant for dipping food in and now imagine my food drenched with this sauce pooling at the bottom. For people who don't know, this was the equivalent of cooking your chicken in nothing but Ketchup. Funnily enough, the best part of my meal was tiny bowl of fried rice that tasted like nothing. read more

I have been to the brunch buffet many times. It is awesome! I don't say this lightly. I happen to be very picky, and have gone to many Chinese brunch buffets. Many rate a meh at best. That said, this is one of my top three, I would go to this any time ( buffet is M-F only). My only restraint would be my wallet , and my waist line. The price is moderate (qbout 30 with soft drink/tip). The food is superb, from the tender and soft shumai to the boneless ribs (only 2 of my favorites). Hope you like this as much as I do. read more

Avocado salad was just average. I refer the salad in Bonchon Chicken Restaurant is better. vegetable Pad Thai was good flavor but was not like the original pad Thai. It was thin egg noodle instead rice noodle. general gau's chicken lunch especial was okay. We ordered gau's chicken with white rice and spring roll but we were giving fried rice and chicken wings instead. After that they replaced two chicken wings with one spring roll. If I could give zero or negative I would. We waited about 15 - 20 minutes and eventually a waitress came over. She was extremely young and looked new. We ordered our drinks and waited 15 minutes for those. We told her we wanted "the entire meal all together", when we ordered everything. She looked at my girlfriend and I and said, "wow that is a lot of food for two people"! -, my girlfriend looked like she was about to cry she was in complete shock and I looked at the waitress and said, "well that it's a good thing I have two young adult sons home waiting to eat some of this." Not that I should have had to have said that, but I could see how uncomfortable my girlfriend felt. She brought the appetizers out about three minutes later. Absolutely not fresh at all whatsoever. Tasted heated up and rushed. 30 minutes later we got the rest of the food. The food was brought out by someone completely different and we didn't see the waitress until I stood up walked around the restaurant and asked somebody else to find her so we could pay and leave. Someone else came over and gave us the check. Not a word, walked over, rudely dropped the bill and walked away . 10 minutes later, our initial waitress finally came over and took it, and I said to her, "please don't make us wait as long as you made us wait for your service or this horrific food, please return this immediately so we can leave". The food was not fresh, not hot, nothing at all about this meal was any good, and the service was the worst. I've experienced in a very long time. Never, ever again. read more

We ordered takeout in advance on a road trip. The food was on time and had great portions. We got two lunch plates, which comes with a choice between chicken wings and spring roll, choice of rice and entree. The chicken wings are probably the better deal; the drumette and wing are still attached as one piece, and you get two pieces. However, I did accidentally say "one spring roll" on the phone, so it may come with more spring rolls than I specified. Both entrees are delicious, and the pork fried rice was incredible. I don't even really know what "wok hei" is, but this had it. It was this lovely smokey and charred flavor in the rice, indicating it had expertly been tossed around and fried in a huge wok. Feng Shui offers a range of Asian food including sushi, hibachi, Japanese, and vegetarian offerings. There's variety for every taste. :) On the first level there is a bar, a nice dining area with sushi bar area and buffet area (on weekdays and weekends) as well as a more private room used for functions. The top level houses their hibachi grills and table set-ups. You can order off the regular menu in the hibachi area as well. I have been several times for the buffet and I enjoyed the varied entree options. The sushi is also very tasty and reasonably priced. Upstairs the hibachi area is great and fun for groups and special evenings. Great ambiance, diversity of types of food, and service make this a solid dining option for the area. My family enjoys dining here with picky out-of-town visitors and family and it's a great place to hit with friends. read more

All I can say is, what in the heck was I thinking when I decided to order sushi from a place that this? Lobster Tempura Roll- For $17, this tasted like warm mush. There was no way to distinguish the lobster tempura, smoked salmon, rice, seaweed, and avocado. Absolutely no way. Great Food and Great Company! I had bought a groupon for them a few weeks ago and noticed that it was expiring the next day so I invited my mom and sister out for the night. The place was packed (everyone's groupon was expiring) so we had to wait in the waiting room. We were seated a maximum of five minutes before they seated us at a station. There were three other parties seated with us for a total of nine people. Our group was great and we had some really friendly company. Our waitress was great and served us our drinks and took our order in a timely fashion. The chef came out and prepared our food. He did the whole kit and caboodle, the volcano, the fire, the sake. While he was really nice, he wasn't as boisterous as the other chefs there, so we had a relatively quiet demonstration. I ordered the Chicken hibachi with fried rice. The hibachi meals all come with soup, salad, choice of white or fried rice, two hibachi shrimp, grilled vegetables, and your choice of meat. I'm not a big fan of their soup so I skipped that part. The salad was good and had this dressing that was a mix of ranch and a little tang to it. I ordered the fried rice which is so fresh and tasty. The shrimp is lightly seasoned and very juicy. The chicken is prepared in this hoison/ teriyaki/ soy type sauce and is phenomenal with the rice and vegetables. The Vegetables were slightly raw still but the ones that had fully cooked were very flavorful. After a great night (and a great deal) we will definitely be coming back! read more

A good size group of us go every year, we all meet in the bar for the famous Feng Shui Mai Tai (these will knock you on your butt if you're not careful) and we usually end up getting a table in one of the function rooms. Service was great, our server was courteous and efficient. The food here is always fantastic, they have the usual array of delectable Chinese food delights, Their main dishes are big enough for three or four to share. We can be a very rowdy crowd, but the staff there is very patient. Prices are as you would expect, and atmosphere is great. Our server was very nice. When I ordered the vegetable hibachi, he asked if I was vegetarian. I said yes and he offered me miso soup with my meal, because the hibachi soup is made with chicken broth. I thought that was very thoughtful. However, when the meal was being cooked, the chef put fried rice on everyone's plate, and then immediately threw shrimp on top. (He plated mine first so I didn't have time to say no.) I did not appreciate this...especially since they asked if I was vegetarian. I have a shrimp allergy. The steak was cooked next, and plated for the other guests. The last thing he did was cook the pile of veggies on top of the greasy puddle of fat where the meat was just cooking. My friend who is vegetarian said "I'm glad I didn't get that." There ended up being a small piece of beef on my plate among the veggies...I haven't eaten meat for 7+ years, but I didn't do anything because I didn't want to be rude. I will say, the veggies were fresh. Everything tasted fine. The low rating is also because the hibachi cook said, "either open your mouth, or open your shirt" to my friend when trying to flip a vegetable into her mouth. Super inappropriate.
