Sushi Deluxe: 10 pieces sushi, one spicy maki. Absolutely delicious!
    Denis D.

No more sushis from Kashin Garden. Last time the tuna was real chewy. Today the tuna makis didn't look fresh. Almost grey and unappetizing. Even the tuna sushi tasted fishy too. Bleh. I couldn't finish my 3-roll combo. This has never happened before. These guys ruined sushi for me. It'll be a long long time before I eat sushi every again. Definitely never again from them. If I spend all afternoon on the toilet today (sending these sushis back to the ocean coming out from one end or the other) at least I'll know why. Disappointing lunch.

Guess how old I am today?

Food was at least a day old re heated in grease on a Friday afternoon. Chicken wings were so dried out have a look at the photo. Waitress was dirty and acted as if she was doing me a favor.

I should have known, I should have known! When I drove up to Kashin Garden, I knew immediately it was a Chinese American sports bar serving sushi. I'm not a fan of these but against my better judgement, I had to go in because I was craving sushi the day that I happened to be randomly picking a spot on Yelp and I'm a committer. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty impressive looking dining room and bar compared to other similar spots but you can tell I was out of place when I was there. I didn't have any desire to sit a the sushi bar since it wasn't quite authentic so it's there if someone out there doesn't really have a preference when it comes to seats. But for what it was, I'm sure it's a good place to throw back drinks, munch on some crab rangoons and to watch the news. Wonton Soup- The broth was okay but the dumpling wasn't edible. They were thick and doughy and the meatball wasn't fresh. Sashimi Tray- I don't think they were expecting anyone to order this early in the day or even at all. Majority of the fish haven't defrosted yet so that ruined it for me. And tamagoyaki was soggy. At least they got the Japanese rice right. Overall Service: My bartender was quiet but was timely when it came to the order, food, and check.

The fried rice is black. So disgusting that I didn't even want to taste it. I called them after I got home and saw it. They said that is how they make all their rice and everyone LOVES it. I cannot imagine that at all.

Finally had the opportunity to try this place (dine in, since the pandemic) and it was as good as I had heard. Classic American Chinese food done REAL good, but also some of THE best sushi I've ever had. Peking ravioli was crispy on the outside and perfectly moist and flavorful on the inside. Someone in my party ordered the pupu platter for 1 which looked real good. But the star of the show was the Volcano Maki... This is tempura California maki topped with baked scallop, crab meat, mushroom, tobiko and spicy mayo. Are you kidding me?? Best thing I've put in my mouth in a lonnng time. Highly recommend!!

I'm a bit stunned by the 4 and 5 star reviews, but the food was hot and the service was excellent.

The quality of food is consistent. Usually take out and food is ready on time. Enjoy their health diet menu. Vegetables are always fresh.

The best in Dracut in my opinion! Good size portions and the food was delicious. Next time you crave Chinese food I suggest Kashin Garden!

There is nothing fancy about the place, but it is super clean and comfortable. During this past visit, I had the spicy girl roll that had generous amounts of fish that was fresh. For sashimi you get three nicely, proportioned cuts of fish. The accompanying salads and soup and other things are always good. The service is just so efficient, which is highly appreciated.

It was fairly busy for a Tuesday night, which was a good sign. The miso soup came out first and looked a little watery at first, but the flavor actually grew on me by the end and had a nice umami taste. The salad was simple but good, just a little heavy on the dressing. For the entree, I ordered the hibachi steak and chicken but ended up getting steak and shrimp instead. Honestly, the shrimp was really good, so it worked out fine. The steak was a little chewy/tough, but still decent overall. The vegetables and rice were pretty average. Best part of the meal by far was the tuna avocado roll. Big fresh pieces of tuna and avocado, simple and really well done for the price. Service was solid and pricing felt fair for the amount of food and protein you get. Overall, a solid local spot and I'd come back again. 4/5.

We came in between lunch and dinner hours, but chose dinner because it just has more options for $39.99. By more, I mean we can order three kinds of seafood (shrimp, mussels, and calamari) and 2 more cuts of beef. They didn't have much variety on the tablet, but they did have fishballs/quail eggs/veggies/noodles at the self serve bar. Honestly it was pretty pricey for the selection, as well as the time limit they put on us despite the restaurant being pretty empty. I feel it's common for ayce places to have a time limit on eating, but there was a time limit on ordering here too. However, the moment we tasted the broth, that was worth it. I've never had such good tom yum broth at a hotpot place! It definitely elevated the rest of the experience. They also put care into making things look nice, so that's a plus. Our server were pretty clear with time limit and all that, so it wasn't a surprise. Everyone was really nice as well! Overall, a positive experience. My meal was paid for, but if I had to personally pay for this, I don't think I would come for dinner.

First, the selection at the self-serve bar has become very limited compared to before. They still have a 90-minute dining limit, which is standard, but they've now added a hidden rule that we had never been told about: you can only place orders during the first 60 minutes of the meal. What makes this worse is how they apply it. More than half of our party arrived a bit later, and the first few people who arrived were told to go ahead and start by choosing the soup bases. What they did not tell us was that this action would start the 60-minute countdown, even though not everyone had arrived and no actual eating had begun. By the time everyone was there and ready to order, most of that hour had already passed--without any warning from staff. On top of that, the portions they bring out are extremely small, and the serving speed is painfully slow. We would finish what little they brought each round and end up just sitting and waiting for the next one, which made the 60-minute ordering window feel even more restrictive and unfair. When we asked about this unclear policy, we were told to wait for the manager--who took nearly 20 minutes to come over. And when she finally arrived, she spoke to us with a condescending attitude and essentially said, "What more can you expect for $29.99?" The contempt in her tone was shocking. I'm not sure how other customers feel, but we're done with this place. We won't be coming back and we DO NOT recommend it to anyone. No restaurant should treat customers with that level of disrespect.

Wasabi Shumai: Nice nasal jolt. Softer, looser, wetter, more finely ground inner texture than typical. Not warm at all. A little below average. Egg Rolls: Crisp outside, moistly stringy inside (in a good way), with decent flavor. Could use more stuffing, and it's cabbage based (some hate, but I don't), but it worked. A little above average. Moo Shi Beef: Big, tender beef chunks in surprising abundance-- around 70% protein, which is practically unheard of. Vegetables crunchy and moist, as opposed to swimming in liquid. Four pancakes were enough. Above average. Mongolian Beef: Another surprise here, as it arrived sizzling. More big chunks of tender beef, sitting atop onions and other vegetables beneath. Not much crusting or additional flavor, but the natural beef flavor and just enough juices to keep it going were sufficient. A little above average. House Fried Rice: Light brown grains, but plenty of beef, pork, and shrimp to add both flavor and moisture, taking it to a middle ground between subgum fried and yang chow. Some egg, some peas, some carrots, some saltiness (noticeable but not problematic). Above average. Nothing hit elite, but good time for sure, and for a sushi-first restaurant merely sidelining in Chinese, more than respectable.
