10/10 for a superb suburb sushi (alliteration) experience! Our server was so friendly and caring. She kept checking on us to make sure we ordered as much sushi as needed before the kitchen closed! She even gave us sake suggestions and walked us through the history of the sake we decided to choose. The sushi itself was fresh and so delicious. The sushi proportions were appropriately sized (not too small or too big). I can't get over how fresh the fish was. The fish melted in your mouth. I was impressed since we picked this restaurant last minute and usually eat sushi out in Boston. I had no idea that this fantastic sushi restaurant was located right in our backyard! First time visiting even though we only live a mile away. We went early on a Monday and were delighted with the temperature in the dining room. It is often cold in most places we go when it's early and not very full yet with dinner customers. But the room was comfortable. We sat near the sushi bar which was clean and well stocked. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. One of the April specials is an appetizer of Crispy fried brussel sprouts in hot chili oil. Even though we knew it would be too much food, we couldn't pass on it. They arrived quickly and were fresh and steaming hot. They were crispy and spicy but not overly oily. To say the least, they were delicious and I hope they become a regular menu option. We also got the kimchi fried rice and yaki udon. Both were delicious and, thanks to the Brussels, we left with leftovers. Our wait staff was attentive, filling our soda water glasses when empty, but not hovering either-allowing us to enjoy our meal! I recommend Nobo-especially for the kimchi fried rice. Ordered online, was ready within 15 minutes as promised. Got 3 rolls - the spring maki, the sunburst, and the aloha. The spring maki was a monthly special and the worst of the three. All the rice paper stuck together, wasn't wrapped tightly so the filling spilled out, something was quite bitter. Still not the worst sushi I've had. His noodle dish came out 10min before mine. I was given a clothe napkin. My husband asked multiple times for a napkin and the waitress gave him paper. For the money there is no attention to detail. Food: We got the miso soup, calamari skewers, mayflower, torch, and daydreamer sushi. The miso soup was bland, it did had a hint of miso flavor but it was much more water down if anything depsite being super hot. The calamari skewers comes in 3 and it was crunchy and yummy with the sauce. each of the sushi came with 8 pieces are were around 20-24 which is on the pricer end. The torch is similar to a philly roll but with extra salmon that is torch but nothing crazy. The daydreamer with the rock shrimp had a well balance of sweet and crunch and the mayflower was on the fresher light side but it did have a abit more of avocado. Service: The service was quick and nice, she made sure we had everything in relative time. We went at 8pm on monday which was pretty empty when we arrived. Ambiance: It has a dark yet quite ambiance that you can enjoy your sushi in peace. It is a pricey restaurant especially if you're only coming for the sushi. Their maki rolls are really good though so I recommend that! Not in the picture is their uni sushi which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I've eaten uni before but their uni tasted like it was too old or thawed incorrectly. ALSO, it said market price but 2 piece was $15 ...... the market price was $15/lb ..... Overall, their maki rolls are good and their drinks are super strong so adjust it based on your liking. read more

A lovely place! It has such beautiful interior and ambiance. The staff were very helpful and the food was very delicious. I came with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was a great experience. My favorite dishes would be my main course of duck on Yakisoba and the oysters. Everything tasted very fresh. The salmon was very buttery. I even went for a simple cooked Ebi and I enjoyed it. The restaurant was very dark from the outside. We almost left because we thought they were closed. When we entered we noticed that the place was nearly empty. Three employees were at the hostess station, noticeably thrilled that they had customers. More people trickled in but for dinner time the attendance was poor. I started with a Lychee-tini that was flavorless. Finishing the drink was a chore. It was not enjoyable. Food came out very fast but it was noticeably "clean". You could tell they use fresh oil. My husband and I went here with a couple of friends for lunch yesterday. The restaurant is simply decorated and quite lovely. We all ordered variations of their lunch special and everyone left happy. The food was well prepared and the service was excellent. I had the Katsu breaded chicken with white rice, sweet and spicy sauce, and gyoza dumplings. Others enjoyed the shrimp tempura, vegetable fried rice, teriyaki sauce and vegetable spring rolls. The meal also included miso soup to start. A very good meal at quite a reasonable price. I am surprised with how much flavor was in every item we had ordered. I was skeptical, it being a sushi restaurant in Chelmsford. We ordered for pick up, they finished our order is 15 minutes. Which was perfect! Took us about 15 mins to get there anyways from Lowell. We ordered the pork roast bun, amazing, the steamed bun was perfect. Nice and moist, and not overly sweet. The pork had amazing flavor. It's paired with spicy mayo, cucumbers, and fresh scallions. For sushi, we ordered spicy salmon maki, shrimp tempura, spider maki, and the big catch speciality maki. Loved and enjoyed each one. The total wasn't bad it. I think it was around $45-50. Would highly recommend to family and friends. read more

Food was good, but the price went up a lot. I was really shocked that there were only 2 small pieces of lamb for their lamb dish! I was also confused because last time I went, I had ordered a cocktail and it was fine, but this time when I ordered their peach cocktail, it came back with a pineapple slice on top as a garnish. I told my server that I'm allergic to pineapple and asked for another without the pineapple garnish. Our server then told us that the drink had pineapple juice mixed in too, even though on the menu, it was listed as peach purée, prosecco, vodka. I asked which cocktails don't have pineapple, but she said ALL cocktails have pineapple. I then asked if they can make one without pineapple, but she said everything on the cocktail menu has pineapple. I saw they have a full bar, so not quite sure why they can't mix something without pineapple... in any case, I ended up ordering a glass of sake since that was safe and pineapple-free. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, but very overpriced (it was almost $40 for the sashimi and I remember it was $20 last time I had been here, so it's double in price now but quantity and quality is the same). My mom had ordered a cooked crab roll but was very disappointed in it because it was imitation crab and not real crab. Came here with my girlfriend since we were in the area. We were looking to get a late afternoon bite to eat and wanted to try this other restaurant but they were closed. Nobo was across the street so we decided just to go there since we both were hungry. Nobo is in a strip mall so we thought it was just your typical Japanese restaurant. As we walked in, we noticed the nice decor. We realized this was not your typical sushi place. So I was excited and looking forward to a nice meal. We ordered the the scallop kaiyaki for starters and boy was it a let down. This was more of a avocado salad than anything. Scallops? What scallops. Baked? Seems like they put a blow torch to it and called it a day. Spicey? I can't taste it. Scallop shell? You mean a plate in the form of a shell. Lastly this dish came out warm not hot like I'm used to. (This dish- I have always had it baked in a real scallop shell that comes out melting hot) We also ordered a Nobo feast for 2 and 1 order of uni sushi. Nobo feast was ok, cut was bite sized. Just your typical sushi and sashimi. Nothing wowed me for the price. (59.95) Uni was ok as well, wasn't super fresh or sweet like I'm used to. To end this, 3 stars is for service. Would I be back? This restaurant was amazing. I went for a work dinner with a large group of coworkers. The food and wine were amazing. Everyone's dinner looked delicious. I ordered several different types of sushi and tasted some of my coworkers' appetizer orders. My favorite was baby hamachi. I'd never had that before and it did not disappoint. That atmosphere is very calm, but high end. I was still in my work clothes and felt like that outfit worked just fine. The servers were great and handled a large table very well. Called ahead to make reservations for a special graduation dinner. Julian was a delight to speak with and was so excited for my family! Upon visiting, the food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were among the nicest people we have ever met. They were so happy for my son and his big day. The atmosphere was lovely. They even brought out a special desert with a congratulatory note written on it with my son's name and everything. A wholesome, family-run place and some of the best sushi I've ever had.
