We got the Black garlic and shoyu ramen. Let me just start off by saying the food was 5/5 delicious, especially for authentic ramen in this area where the only other gourmet ramen you're getting is near Boston. However, we went on a Friday night and it was very overwhelming. There's plenty of parking outside with a large parking lot. The inside is relatively small with tables very close together, it could probably use a table or two being removed for more comfort. There was a wait but there is no waiting/seating area so we waited outside, however I could definitely see this being an issue when people are looking for a nice warm bowl of ramen in the winter and the only place to wait is outside or in their cars. The reason I'm rating a 3/5 is because of service, not at the fault of the waitress. When we got there, there was one cook and one waitress. The waitress was also performing the role of busser and hostess. She was so clearly overwhelmed and overworked, trying to clear tables, serve tables, help people pay, seat people, help those waiting outside, etc. This led to a tense environment that you could feel among other customers. This also led to LOTS of orders going to the wrong tables, items being forgotten about, and many people waiting outside left while we were eating. I want to preface again by saying this is not the waitress' fault by any means. She was doing the absolute most she could all while working by herself performing multiple unfilled roles. This is an issue that management needs to attend to, to relive her of working every role other than cook and being extremely visibly stressed. I may go back in a few months when it's chilly outside to treat myself to a nice local bowl of ramen, but I hope management has helped their employees by then.

What a gem in the neighborhood. Its a cute spot to get warm bowl of japanese style ramen and small appetizer dish. We tried japanese fried chicken, crab croquet, two ramen dishes and they were all very good! The soup was full of flavor and the porkbelly was cooked superb w flavor and tender. They were pretty generous with their portion as well. Will def return for more :)

Yokai - A Delicious New Spot in Westford! My friend and I decided to check out Yokai for the first time, and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is cozy, and the menu is small but thoughtfully curated with a good variety of options. We decided to share a few different dishes, which was perfect for getting a taste of what Yokai has to offer. The braised pork belly was a standout--served on a bed of white rice, the rich, flavorful sauce from the pork really elevated the whole dish. The ramen was excellent, too. I was initially hesitant about the bamboo shoots, expecting the usual canned variety, but these were fresh and tasty. My only suggestion would be to ask for the seaweed slice on the side next time, since it was a little soggy by the time I got to it. We also tried the green beans, which were fresh and crisp, but honestly, nothing too special--especially for the price. I just wanted a veggie option, but I'd probably skip them next time. Overall, Yokai offers some really tasty dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try the truffle ramen and the purple sweet potato fries! Highly recommend for anyone looking for something new and delicious in Westford! Oh and the server was lovely.

ps - at this price point i was expecting house made noodles as most boston establishments do. they do use what appears to be individual packages of fresh ramen. we did not see any equipment that would suggest they make the ramen noodles in house.

Tried the chicken karage (huge portions), shrimp tempura (5), Tod mun goong app (very tasty chicken and shrimp nugget) my favorite. Pad See Ew came with generous portion of grill pork - tasty. Ba Mee Nam is a wonton soup ramen noodle (wonton has shrimp and chicken). Choice of grilled pork or chicken, generous portion of meat. Packed nicely for takeout. Broth was very nice. It is so nice Chinese broccoli was in several of our dishes, perfectly cooked and crunchy. What a treat. Khao Kha Moon - save for another meal, rice dish with braised pork and veggies and egg. Restaurant interior is very simple but cozy. Will definitely order again.

To get a second beverage was hard. Waitress would see empty drinks but not ask. I had to get up to find her and ask for drink. At the end, the food I ordered to go was not in the bag. I was charged for everything and even gave a 20% tip because I felt bad for a kid waitress. BUT then trying to call and talk to a manager about getting the food I paid for went bad. No one spoke English Friday or Saturday. There was no manager and I was told I have to speak the owner Harry. However, they would not provide contact info for Harry or any way to communicate with Harry.

It was also, apparently, less salty, presumably for the same reason. The amount of kimchi in the "sample" was so plentiful as to almost fill up the mini cup we used for takeout. They have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan food, as well as some gluten free items, though they lack the staff and kitchen size to accommodate celiacs, so it's really more of use for people on elimination diets or with poor digestive capabilities. The owner had prior training in Italian cuisine, which is the reason such food is on the menu, and while neither my father nor I had occasion to try it, it is apparently a passion of the chef's, and the shared discussion of their mutual interest in Italian cooking may be the reason my father was given a free "sample" of kimchi, which was larger than the paid order of kimchi at most other restaurants. The food portions, in general, are massive, with the leftovers of an order of wonton soup not fitting in a to-go canister, with other orders being similarly large. Their jasmine tea is unusual for its slight fruity flavor, and ability to "overbrew" without becoming bitter, instead maintaining its delicate flavor. Each table has condiments, which in addition to including the "normal" chili crisp, and fish sauce often found at Asian restaurants that provide table condiments, have the more western pepper grinder, as well as garlic salt. Curiously, there is no "normal" salt as often found at western restaurants, though bottles of sriracha are found at every table. Perhaps the garlic salt and sriracha are the restaurant's "unique twist"?

Still in my rotation, and I still mostly stick with the sizzling hot items, alternating among…read morechicken, shrimp, and fish. Still excellent, still sweet (though now more noticeably spicy too), and still important to remind that the dishes here are not necessarily attempting authentic cuisine of specific regions (even though specific dishes are named), but more of a freestyle approach. The wings have improved in recent visits. More plump, more crisp, more juice, more flavor. Still good value. Still a little weak on the service (more about being young, unfocused and lacking initiative than anything approaching rudeness). Still highly recommended.
