I stopped by Seoul Bunsik on a rainy afternoon at 5pm for early dinner. The establishment looked fairly spartan - a few tables for counter service dine-in and optimized for take out. I ordered the jjampong / spicy seafood noodle soup ($16.99). The spiciness here was a tangy spice reminiscent of budae jigae - utilizing kimichi instead of purely red pepper flakes and gochujaru. The stock itself had heavy amounts of seafood and garlic flavor. Disappointingly, the amount of seafood itself (shrimp, mussels, etc). seemed low, and the vegetables did not have much wok hei / 鍋氣. Otherwise, the establishment seemed authentically Korean. Each table had a box for metal utensils with the viewing glass on top. The lady who took my order at the counter relayed instructions to the kitchen by shouting to the chef in Korean.

Fun place - kimbap is definitely the highlight. A lot of boba milk tea options as well. The kimbap was generously filled and came with soy sauce and kimchi. The ramen is a bit pricy but a good way to try different flavors before buying a pack. The induction burners are automatically timed based on the color dot that was on the ramen shelf. Mine was number 28 in yellow, so I ordered 28 at the counter and pressed the yellow button plus start when I had my bowl. The timer then comes on and you wait! The free toppings are scallions, jalapeños, and yellow pickled radish. When the timer goes off, you can just grab your bowl (it's not hot due to the induction!). There was a dumpling / mandu special when I went for $13.99. I really hope they add more to their menu like tteokbokki, soondae, etc to offer more food options.

There're instant ramen machines that you can make yourself noodles. They also do milk tea and fruit flavored tea. Korean Kimbap is the best.

And the food is great, I love the sliders, tenders, milkshakes, hot mozz, etc. But what really keeps me going back are the staff and service. It's top quality, just good, salt of the earth people who care about delivering excellent customer service and making sure people are happy. The ambience is also really good and they keep it clean. Big shoutout goes to Dan, Camarrih, Shane, Jaaziel, Diana, Alex, Julia, and Nick. The whole crew is awesome, God bless. And I've tried the Reaper four times. It's worth doing at least once, but I'll stick to Hot or Medium going forward.

Inside, there's standing space in front and plenty of tables in the room. Heads up, during busy times, you can be in someone space while they are enjoying a meal or using the fountain drink machine. On our first visit, my fiancé went for the Reaper Slider and had to sign a waiver because it's super spicy. They nailed the spice level, however, he thought the flavor wasn't quite there. I went for Mild, which was hot and the flavor was decent. On our second trip, I tried the Lite Mild, hoping it would be even better. He ended up getting the Hot, which was spicy, the flavor was okay. The chicken is fresh and super tender, and the fries are pretty good. The seasoning isn't really memorable. The real star is the Dave's Sauce, even the packet version for the fries is amazing. Pro-tip: don't throw away any extra sauce packets! Save them for home. Overall Service: It was fine, and the staff handled the lunch rush well. It's not our go-to style of food, so I'm not sure we'll be returning. I do understand the appeal of testing the different spice levels, though.

I had to travel up to Massachusetts on Monday and I was quite disappointed with the lack of a New England accent on anyone. We used to be a proper country. In any event, on Monday, I went to Mexica Burrito Grill. I met a man, on the line in front of me who insisted this place was good. I was skeptical because, I don't know this guy and why was he being so friendly? I ignored the warning signs and assumed he may be correct as he too was a husky gentleman. I ordered a burrito bowl with carnitas. I told them to include the rice and beans, because a man needs fuel that sticks to the ribs, along with double carnitas, cheese, and nothing else that sounded like it belonged in a rabbit's lunch. No vegetables, no salsa, no cilantro trying to ruin a perfectly good meal. They delivered. The carnitas were delish, properly seared, and tasted like actual pork that had been treated with respect (salt, heat, and time). The rice and beans did their job, simple, hearty, and not pretending to be anything fancy. No lectures about "fresh ingredients" or where the avocado came from. No one cares, Chad. Just a solid bowl of meat and starch, which is how God intended bowls to be used. I ate it back at the hotel with a black coffee and a pocketknife for portion control. Felt like I could split logs afterward. This is acceptable food. I may return. Highly recommended for men who understand that beef or pork are staples, with enough rice and beans to keep the machine running.

The tacos were sitting in a pool of it after walking from the counter to a table and were leaking a lot while eating. One taco had a ton of salsa and the other two had next to none. Also pretty light on cheese. The roja had good flavor but wasn't very spicy. Ended up adding Valentina hot sauce that they had available. The meal was a bit cheaper then other places in the area. Restaurant was very clean.
