    Crazy noodles with tofu

I decided to eat at Smack Noodle as a last minute date night. Since it was a beautiful night, we opted to sit outside, which has a handful of sidewalk-side tables. It was a nice experience - a quiet dining experience while being able to people watch the going's-on of downtown. The staff was very welcoming and attentive (but not overly so). I was also pleasantly surprised to see that our food came out quickly after ordering. We ordered the smack buns and brussel sprouts to share. The buns were tasty and I would order them again. The brussel sprouts were deliciously salty and incredibly crispy. I ordered the crazy noodles with tofu. They had a strong kick in the best way and the tofu was perfectly textured. This was a large portion so I was able to take home leftovers for a second meal. My fiancé ordered the spicy miso ramen which he found to be tasty with a good level of spice. All in all, we are happy to have found and support a small business and will be back to try more of the menu in the future!

The Tonkotsu was rich and flavorful, and the bun was soft and delicious. Definitely coming back for more!

Smack Noodle is on Main Street along with many other restaurants and shops. I came on a weekend for lunch with a group of friends. We got seating outside on the patio and I ordered a pork bao bun and miso ramen. The service was great, but I wasn't impressed with the food. The pork bao was soft, but nothing special. The ramen was lackluster in both the broth and noodles. On the positive side, plenty of corn and a great soft boiled egg. Overall, not the best ramen, but they do serve other dishes you could try out.

Oh friends...this place is special. The food was incredible and the family that runs it make you feel so welcome. They only have a few tables, and it was packed for weekend lunch. The food came out quickly and was served piping hot. Scallion pancakes were light and crispy. Crazy noodles was a bowl full of spicy goodness. They were really nice about scaling back on the spicy level for me so it was not atomic. Lots of veggies included and you can get it with tofu, beef, or chicken. Fried rice was delicious as well. If I lived closer, I would be a regular here for sure.

For a tiny place in an unassuming town, this restaurant packs big flavors! True to its name, the place offers up excellent noodle dishes. I love their crazy noodles. The dish is unapologetically spicy and has a lot of bold flavors. Once I had it with beef and my only disappointment is that the beef was on the dry side. Their ramen is wonderfully rich. And their curry is fantastic. The pork buns were packed with tender pork balanced with thinly sliced carrots and a robust sauce. The menu isn't huge, but they are consistently good which I prefer. Do just a few things and do them well. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is small; seats 7 or 8 parties, so there could be a wait on weekends.

Surprise find in Maynard after visiting the Discovery Museum. Smack shack, tonkotsu ramen and pad see ew with tofu were good. Pad thai was too sweet for my taste. My friends preferred the tonkotsu ramen over the miso ramen. Friendly service and food came out quickly. Small seating area inside and some seating outside too.

Flavorful broths with the ramens, delicious dipping sauce with the dumplings and scallion pancakes, fast service without compromising flavor and quality, friendly and attentive staff. Perfect spot for those who work locally to enjoy a quick lunch. Will definitely return

Crazy noodle and spicy sake roll

This place is awesome and everyone is super nice! I got the spicy sake roll, smack bun (not pictured) and crazy noodle. The spicy sake roll is exactly as advertised. The smack bun was TO. DIE. FOR. Who doesn't love a sweet fluffy bun with crispy and flavorful insides?! The crazy noodle was pretty spicy but had a really good flavor to it. I almost ordered a side of rice before noticing that the flat noodles were in fact not onion. Parking was easy - at a metered spot right out front on a Wednesday night, inside and outdoor seating, and overall just super fun and delicious!

Great food! Popular place with a variety of dishes and appetizers. Dining area is clean but feels more like a place for takeout.

Tried the chicken karage (huge portions), shrimp tempura (5), Tod mun goong app (very tasty chicken and shrimp nugget) my favorite. Pad See Ew came with generous portion of grill pork - tasty. Ba Mee Nam is a wonton soup ramen noodle (wonton has shrimp and chicken). Choice of grilled pork or chicken, generous portion of meat. Packed nicely for takeout. Broth was very nice. It is so nice Chinese broccoli was in several of our dishes, perfectly cooked and crunchy. What a treat. Khao Kha Moon - save for another meal, rice dish with braised pork and veggies and egg. Ambiance was comfortable and welcoming, other than the fact that it was a bit cold. We ordered the veggie potstickers as an app, which were very flavorful and tasty. For my main, I ordered the Khao Gai Yang, a dish with chicken, rice, veggies, and a sauce on the side. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. My only complaint is that the sauce was quite fishy, which isn't to my personal taste. I would come back but try something else next time.

Local restaurant a few steps from my home but I had never stopped in until today…read more I was alone but the spot had a nice cozy vibe and the decoration and lighting made it feel really homey. The woman running the shop brought me the plate of tofu, veggies and kimchi which was all very nice. I especially loved the kimchi and picked green beans. I ordered the "BimBimBop" and a hot ginger tea. The tea was perfectly hot and sweet, I highly recommend even on a warmer day. There was something nice about hearing the chef working in the back, listening to the tv or radio over the sound of boiling water, steaming stovetop and clanking of kitchen tools as well. The food came out hot and fresh with crisp veggies a perfectly fried egg and perfectly cooked rice. The spice was on the side to add to my liking and everything blended together really well. I think this is a secret star of a place and disagree with the comments that the woman here was unkind, I think you can tell by the food itself she cares about quality and taste. I will absolutely be back and if you find yourself in the area I recommend stopping by.
