Thai Chilli, what happened to you? We've been ordering takeout from this restaurant for decades. The food was always on point. Not anymore. The pad thai was bland and panang curry tasted like they steamed a few veggies and opened a jar of sauce. The tofu tasted "off" and the baby corn tasted like they didn't even bother to drain them from the liquid in the can. So sad. read more

Tried their crispy duck and it was delicious!!! My friends had some other dishes like ginger chicken, ma po tofu etc and they loved it too! It's a little restaurant with around 10 tables, a fish tank and a restroom (of course they have a kitchen too). The only strange and surprising part was they don't serve complimentary rice with the curries. WHAT!! Yes, they charged us extra for each side of white rice, and this is so weird! Advice: Increase the price of your entrees by $1 and add complimentary rice to it. It helps the customers and avoids confusion because all restaurants serve rice with the curries. Tried Thai Chili last night for delivery and it was fantastic! We got: Beef Satay Coconut Soup Tom Yum Soup Crazy Noodles with tofu Takoyaki Fresh Rolls with shrimp Everything was excellent and very fresh tasting. We will order again for the takoyaki alone! We'd never had takoyaki before and the texture and taste matched up to what I've read and seen online. Thai Chili has a couple of new fans and we look forward to placing our next order! read more

Disappointing. I ordered the green curry for takeout. The curry was a bland, watery concoction with large pieces of vegetables that I had to cut myself and no basil as far as I could tell. Strangely, the rice does not come with the meal; I had to pay for it separately. The restaurant is on the dingy side with strange plastic checkered table cloths and torn seating in the waiting area. Ordered crispy chicken pad Thai and yellow curry on a random Sunday night. Went and picked up the food, it was ready fast and they were very prompt and polite. But when I got home, there was no sauce at all on the pad Thai and I'm not sure if it doesn't come standard, but there was no rice for the curry either. Disappointing. This is the worst service that I experienced in years so I felt like I have to leave a review. The waitress is so rude and impatient--she basically yells at me when I don't know to add "protein" to the dish. It's my first time here, it's so normal that I don't know how to order at the first time. I responded: can you be a little more patient, you are getting me nervous. She didn't respond and just left. I'm Asian and I'm with my daughter, it's embarrassing and uncomfortable for us. And at the same time, I see her, the same waitress, behaving totally different when she is with customers who are white, she has be more than patient, she smiles and even make jokes with them. It's really a shame on them to run business like this--discriminatory on its target customers and its own people! By the way food is just so-so. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Ordered take out from here and was somewhat disappointed in the portion size and flavor. Was overall fairly bland and entrees barely filled the containers. It was pretty expensive to get smaller portions than your typical delivery. Drunken noodle wasn't spicy at all and pork gyoza wasn't worth purchasing in my opinion. read more

Ordered for pick here several times due to Covid - and ate there for lunch. The food is great! The dishes are fresh and clean - authentic to the taste. Great food. Great service. Also just fyi they are open for dine in but do need reservations. Staff was super friendly and provided great service. We had scallion pancakes and they were absolutely amazong. Crispy tofu could be slightly more crispy. Basil fried rice and the red curry were both super delicious. Very disappointed the last few times I've been there (regular customer). One of my favorite dishes: pork pikking. The green beans are excellent. The last few times though, the pork has been almost inedible (very fatty). I don't know if they are using cheaper ingredient because of inflation? If so, I'd rather pay $1-2 more for a dish where I left 3/4 of the pork uneaten. read more

A cute little restaurant on main street in downtown Maynard. They have a surprising large menu with authentic noodle dishes and stirfrys. My personal favorite is the Massaman Curry. It's a creamy curry with a hint of spice to it that makes me want to lick the plate at the end. They are open for dine-in eating during COVID but they work to keep tables apart and limit the number of people in there. I haven't ordered delivery from them, but if it's as good as in person, I'll be doing so in the future! read more

Service was great but food is not as good as other Thai restaurants around the area. Ordered beef noodle soup and tasted very weird. It tasted like it's from a packaged noodle. Definitely doesn't taste like a nice broth like other restaurants. I usually don't like to waste food but this time I really have to cannot eat it anymore or take it to go. I clearly asked for peanut sauce with my rolls on the online order and I got the sweet and sour sauce I do not like instead. I also ordered the grapow chicken and it came with NO RICE! $14 for ground chicken and the snapped ends of green beans and they don't give you any rice? $22 total for a meal that was not what I ordered and incomplete. I called and whomever answered the phone told me that's the way it is and would not let me talk to an owner, a manager or even give me her name. Sugar and Spice in Cambridge this place is not. My new favorite local thai restaurant -- have been there twice and like almost everything about it. Enough variety for the whole family, good food -- tasty, not greasy, very fast and attentive service. The waiters/waitresses are a little robotic -- a little personality wouldn't hurt -- but that's minor. Prices are also very reasonable. I was heading over to Little Pusan, but the place was closed for family vacation. SoI just kept walking. I ordered some steamed shrimp dumplings which I think were frozen. Not bad, but not what I wanted. Place is a bit crowded and an image of clean... BUT the help is super friendly and they greet you with this dainty cup of lovely soup. Wow, what has happened to my former favorite Thai place innthe area. They changed upnthe Rama and it is terrible. They now are scimping on the Winter Shrimp and Thai Rolls per order. Really good local Thai place. Had a lunchbox with some peanut chicken (forgot the name). Soup included. Soup was great. Gingery and really tasty. The lunchbox was huge. Can easily feed two people. I don't know how to rate this place, to be honest. We ordered takeout from this place twice. It's an ok Thai place.. but I've certainly had much better elsewhere. They make their dishes really sweet, and the spicy dishes are not spicy enough. I guess it's too Americanized for my taste, although maybe that's what works for them out in Maynard. I would probably order from here again if I crave Thai food. I've only tried this place and Benjarong and this place is much better. But as soon as I find a better Thai place, I'll stop coming here. read more

Love the food here, especially the tamarind duck, pineapple fried rice, khao soi, and the curries. After living in Thailand for a couple of years (and eating out 2-3 times a day . . .), we have tried a lot of Boston-area Thai restaurants (including several in the area), and the food at Thai Chili most closely resembles some of our favorite dishes in Thailand.
