But I gotta call it how I see it, otherwise you guys won't respect my opinion haha I got the fiery pad Thai which was both good and fiery and I'm ironically writing this review while sitting on my toilet the following day, and yes... definitely some fire on the way out. My girl got the cashew nuts with chicken, not even sure what that is but she said it was "mid". You may be asking... why the one star? A picture is worth 1000 words so take a look at the dumplings I got below lol Chicken dumplings with a giant black hair fucking snaking its way across three dumplings. Stopped by here a few weeks ago with my mom for some takeout lunch. They have no indoor/outdoor dining available currently, but they could definitely put some tables/chairs outside for people to eat on the sidewalk! Takeout order took 10-15 min to prepare. We ordered and split the Chiang Mai noodle and Furious Trio. Chiang Mai Noodle ($11): DELICIOUS! Very creamy and tangy curry soup with a coconut milk base. Egg noodles were good. Came with fair amounts of chicken and broccoli and was topped with crunchy/crispy noodles (my favorite!!), red onions, and cilantro. Portion was fairly large - we had leftovers. 10/10 would get again. I wish I knew how to make this dish so good. Furious Trio (lunch portion $9): Pork, chicken, and beef sauteed in sriracha sauce with cashews, onions, scallions, and mushrooms. Overall pretty meh, honestly. I couldn't really tell the difference between the pork and chicken. The portion was decent sized, but didn't have a lot of vegetables in it. Taste was pretty generic, nothing I'll remember in a few days. Menu said it would be spicy, but honestly was barely spicy. Cashew nuts were a little soggy. 5/10 wouldn't get again. I'd give this place a 4/5 star based on those two dishes. At the price point ($), the portions were fairly large. Although the Furious Trio was a little disappointing, I would give the place another chance (hence the 4 stars). Mostly because I loved the Chiang Mai noodle - HIGHLY recommend! read more

Party of five had dinner on a Thursday evening around 7:30 PM. I shared the Massaman Curry and Fiery Pad Thai with my partner. Our friends had noodle dishes and a soup. We started with an appetizer sampler. The sampler consisted of Chicken Satay, crispy rolls and other fried items. The satay and rolls were tasty. The Curry dish was good, and the Pad Thai was delicious. One item that was interesting was how dishes ordered with a higher heat level were prepared. The dish was served with extra red pepper flakes as apposed to chili sauce. Prices are very reasonable. read more

I really wish I could give 4.5 or 4.8 stars because I LOVE this place! This is where I come to get my thai fix when in Massachusetts. Definitely a hole in the wall spot in Clinton but absolutely worth a visit. Great prices (especially for lunch) and the food is always presented really well and always tastes amazing. They even ask about food allergies to make sure they cater to any sensitivities. I've eaten here more times than I can count and have never regretted it. Sometimes small issues arose like the front door opening when windy or a little bit of a lengthy wait but nothing that would ever stop me from coming back. Absolutely two thumbs up! read more

My go-to place in the greater Clinton area for Asian food. I recommend the curries, the appetizers, the Pad Thais and the soups. The people are nice, and it is a great place to sit and have a conversation (when social distancing is reduced). BYOB, which keeps down the cost of a dinner out. I'm tipping heavily on my takeout these days because I want my favorite restaurants to still be around after COVID. read more

I've gotten their takout a handful of times, and while I like their food and appreciate they have varying spice levels, I wish they had better front-of-the-house service. I've had a few orders where they've completely missed an item and put something else in. While the replacements are yummy, they are not what I ordered. The pickup interaction is sometimes chaotic and disorganized, and we've told them to take their time putting everything together but there's still rushing and errors. Maybe there's a string of employee/family vacations that leaves the current staff running thin? In any case, the food is good and I'm seldom dissatisfied with the food itself. Give it a try but maybe double check that they've got your order correct. The pad Thai is a bit sweeter than I would've wanted, but I love the portion size for the chicken satay. I was a fan of Thai Time the first few times I went! Food is pretty good, portions are great, and the prices are appropriate for the amount of food you receive. I LOVED their pad Thai! And their Pad See Ew is also delicious. Probably my favorite Thai place in the area, seeing as the food is always consistent and they have great options for anyone who's gluten free or vegetarian! (Not many places around here pay too much attention to people with dietary restrictions). Unfortunately, they did not list "eggs" in their pad Thai, so my father, who cannot eat eggs, was unable to enjoy the dish. I think it's important that they list all of the ingredients in their dishes on the menu. Thankfully, he's not deathly allergic, but it could've been an issue if he were. They did not offer to remake the dish without eggs. I loved Thai Time, I'm just hoping for better service in the future. read more

So first experience from here but I will update my review as I visit more. Price to portion of food served was pretty good. The sampler was a nice a little bit of everything the egg rolls, crab Rangoon and golden triangles were very flavorful and delicious. The chicken satay wasn't very good it was tuff and dry Maybe just a bad batch so will try them again. We also got an order of drunken noodles flavor and spice level were perfect the portion was a little light and not alot of noodles it was more vegetables then noodles. What a great little place! I'm by no means a Thai connoisseur, BUT the in-laws are, and they were in love. Service was great. We were also the only ones there but I wouldn't expect it to be bad if we weren't. For starters we got the scallion pancakes which came with a sweet soy sauce. The boy said they were not as good as the ones in Thailand but hey... We're in 'Merica so... I thought they were delish. He also said his stir fry was a bit more bland than he was used to, but again... They probably aren't using the crusty seasoned unwashed pans to fry it in they would normally use in Thailand where health codes don't exist. But I digest. ....I mean digress. I got the red chicken curry... great wholesome flavor that left me satisfied. It was sweet but not Indian curry sweet, and spicy but not Japanese curry spicy. It was pretty much smack dab in the middle of those two. Lots of bamboo shoots which I normally don't like too much, but they made them great somehow. Their spice level is 1-5. If you're a pro at all things spicy, you can ask for 6 and they will make it for you. All I can say is, dad was not sweating after downing a 5 spice level dish. This was a nice little stop in Clinton, MA. A hidden gem in a quiet little town. The restaurant was very well decorated and had a great environment. A real nice place to take friends and family but still casual enough to not have to require a dress code. Our service was amazing, we were greeted immediately and our server was very attentive. The menu featured items that one wouldn't normally find in more Americanized Thai places. The menu was clear and easy to read, and the suggestions from our server were right on point. This was my first time eating at Thai Time. I wanted to place a take-out order. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. It was a quaint atmosphere & about 75% of the tables were full (around 1:00 on a Tuesday!) Good sign, in my opinion. The employee behind the counter was pleasant & helped me come to a decision: basil chicken. For $8 the portion was generous, the food was delicious & my wait time was only about 10 minutes. I had lunch with a friend here. We arrived just before noon and we were the only customers in the place. It took a bit of time to get menus and water and when we were done with our lunch, it took a while to find our server. When we received the menu we were told that the lunch-sized portion and price were not available as it was the weekend. Since we didn't want a big meal, we both ordered the noodle soup with chicken. It was excellent and huge! When our bill came, we pointed out that the prices charged were higher than in the menu. Our server pointed out that there was a sticker on the front of the menu that stated due to rising food prices their items have increased by 16-20%. Anyway, it turned out to be a more expensive lunch than we planned, however, the food was excellent and I would go here again. read more

I'm sorry to leave this review. I live in Clinton & have eaten here for sit-in, takeout, & delivery on at least a half dozen occasions. Thai Time is wonderful if you have no dietary restrictions. The food is fresh, delicious, reasonably authentic, & the staff are polite & nice. However, my family is gluten-free. Myself, my mother & my daughter all have to be out of medical necessity. Unfortunately, I will never eat at Thai Time again. We've given them repeated chances to get this right, & although they seem to know all about gluten-free every time we order & last night even brought it up when dietary restriction was mentioned, in actuality eating here is dangerous. Nearly every single time I've been here, what they say is gluten-free has changed. One time the spring rolls aren't, next time they are; one time the shrimp shumai is, next time it isn't; one time I can have the duck & the next time I can't & the following time I can. This isn't because they've changed their ingredients or their suppliers, but simply because they are totally inconsistent on what they believe is or isn't gluten-free. Later last night & today, like every time I eat at Thai Time, I am very ill. I'm gagging & retching while writing this review. I'll leave out any other descriptive features of my current state of health, but I'm very upset that the assurances given by Thai Time's staff have once again proved to be false. Never again. Housed in an unassuming building in downtown Clinton, mainstreet USA, this Thai restaurant exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is elegant yet casual simplicity with its brightly painted walls filled with artwork, comfortable booths and sparkling clean interior. It's refreshing to be in a Thai restaurant that is not over-the-top with shiny, metallic decorations. My tableware contained the most artfully folded white napkin, and even my Thai ice tea was decorated with a small white rose folded from the paper straw cover. The waitress was quiet but attentive. My Thai iced tea was creamy and mildly spicy. I started with the lime, coconut soup, which was pleasantly sweet and spicy, with a mild hint of red pepper. This appetizer was generous and visually appealing as was my vegetarian Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was crisp, and the peanut sauce tended towards a little thick, but still delicious. How haven't I reviewed this place yet? My bf and I love it here and are regulars. The food is excellent- everything always comes out piping hot. Dishes are very authentic and the portions are big. Prices are reasonable, and everything is DELICIOUS. We always get the Tom Ka soup (the one with coconut milk, chicken, mushrooms, and cilantro) because it is the best- so flavorful. The thai iced tea is a must. I've gotten the Massaman curry and the Pad See Yew; both are great. Now I admit that I don't know what Thai food is really supposed to taste like... but judging from the 6 or so Thai places I've been to, this one is pretty good; prices are good too. The place is kind of a hole in the wall... plain looking brick building on the outside, situated in a big parking lot on a side street off route 9 near Spags. There's a bar on one side that's frequented by tradesmen and locals... I think they have darts. The dining room is on the other side in a separate room. I've never seen more than 3 tables occupied in my 4 or so visits. This place was closed for a long time for renovations (feels like most of 2006)... but it doesn't really look like much changed in terms of appearance. Apparently they lost their cook also, and the menu has changed, but the food is still up to the quality it was before. The calamari was delicious and not rubbery... the thai rolls were good. I've had the red and yellow curries and enjoyed them both. You can specify the spicyness on pretty much any dish. They have some kind of spicy basil noodle dish that's good too (drunken noodles?). My friend had some kind of whole fish on a platter (head and all!) that he seemed to enjoy immensely and then proceeded to terrorize the vegetarians at the table with the skeleton. Their Mai tais are good and strong if a little small. I imagine the other mixed drinks are good too. read more
